Diatrans ( dia + trans ) is an alternative to " transtrans, " meaning where one identifies with a transid without directly identifying as the transid, or where one wishes they did identify with the transid .

This doesn't always mean the person is " technically cis but identifies as trans " ( the prefix for that is actually muto/muta ).

For example, a diatrans-man could wish they were a trans man, but this doesn't necessarily mean they are actually a cis man . " Muto " would be better in the case where someone identifies with transness in contradiction to being cis !

I made this post since it seems a lot of newer rqs and some antis never heard of the term or are defining it incorrectly ( usually mixing it up with muto )
