the time has finally come! house assignments have officially been sent out via chats, so everyone should now know where they'll be staying for the residency. if you were expecting an invite and haven't received one, please message us directly so we can make sure you're added and get you settled into your house!
and, as always, if you're a new member who decides you'd like to join us in barcelona at any point, just let us know! there's always room to add you to a house and get you settled in with everyone.
as mentioned in our residency survey, characters staying for the full two weeks will also have the option to reshuffle houses once week one comes to an end. so while your first house will be home for the opening week, you may get the chance to experience an entirely different corner of the estate for week two.

every house on the estate has been designed to feel like you've stepped directly into a piece of art while still feeling unmistakably like barcelona. each takes inspiration from a different iconic work, translating its colors, atmosphere, and little details into a space the residents can actually live in. no two houses are quite alike, and each has its own personality, energy, and favorite place to gather.
HOUSE STARRY NIGHT: inspired by van gogh's the starry night, this house is filled with deep blues, midnight tones, glowing lights, and little touches of gold. starry details and large windows make it especially magical after dark, with a cozy terrace outside for late night conversations and stargazing.
HOUSE WATER LILY: inspired by monet's water lilies, this is one of the estate's quieter retreats. soft blues, greens, and lavender, floral details, and natural textures create a peaceful atmosphere, while the greenery and small pond outside make it perfect for slow afternoons.
HOUSE VENUS: inspired by botticelli's the birth of venus, house venus brings the feeling of the mediterranean indoors. airy creams, soft blues, sandy neutrals, flowing fabrics, and subtle seaside details give the house a dreamy, sun soaked atmosphere.
HOUSE SUNFLOWER: inspired by van gogh's sunflowers, this house turns the warmth of the painting into a cozy cottage retreat. warm earth tones, worn wood, soft textiles, and little garden spaces make it feel welcoming, comfortable, and lived in.
HOUSE MIDSOMMER: inspired by edward hughes' midsummer, house midsommer feels like stepping into an enchanted cottage. wildflowers, natural wood, soft greens, and warm colors fill the space, while fairy lights throughout the house and garden make it glow after sunset.
HOUSE REDWOOD: inspired by albert bierstadt's grand landscapes, house redwood feels like a secluded lodge surrounded by nature. rich woods, deep greens, muted reds, and oversized windows create a warm, slightly dramatic retreat with plenty of cozy corners to disappear into.
HOUSE MARILYN: inspired by andy warhol's marilyn diptych, house marilyn is the estate's boldest and most playful home. bright colors, statement furniture, retro touches, and vibrant artwork give it an energetic, glamorous atmosphere where there's always something happening.
HOUSE VIDA: inspired by frida kahlo's viva la vida, watermelons, house vida is warm, colorful, and full of personality. rich reds, greens, pinks, and sunny tones mix with colorful textiles and handmade feeling decor for a space that feels vibrant without taking itself too seriously.
HOUSE HAWK: inspired by edward hopper's nighthawks, house hawk brings a little slice of 1950s diner nostalgia to the estate. chrome details, checkerboard accents, vintage signage, and warm lighting surround a diner style kitchen and breakfast counter made for late night snacks and conversation.
while you're here, we'll also be providing optional daily itineraries in the group chats! these will include ideas for things to see, places to explore, activities to try, and other ways to make the most of your time in spain. they're completely optional, so feel free to follow along, pick and choose what sounds fun, or make your own plans with your housemates.

yesterday, we received a message asking us to post a full list of characters attending the trip, which we did, but we figured we'd go ahead and share an updated version as we get ready to start making housing announcements.
the characters listed below the cut have either submitted a survey response or liked our original invitation post, so we're currently assuming they'll be attending the trip. our deadline for completing the survey was friday, august 14th at 12pm pst, as that's when we stopped actively checking the google form so we could begin working on house assignments early. if you're completing the survey late (which is totally okay!), please send us a message to let us know so we can keep an eye out for it!
we fully expect characters to be coming and going throughout the two week residency, and we're more than happy to adjust housing assignments as needed to make sure everyone is included. however, if we don't have any notification that you're attending, we won't be able to place you in a house! please make sure you've let us know in some way or another if you're planning to join us so we can avoid any confusion!
we're absolutely thrilled that so many lovely people are coming along for the trip, and we can't wait to get everyone settled in! housing assignments will be going out by the end of the day as we make a few final adjustments. thank you so much for your patience and excitement! ♡
the satori residency officially begins monday, which means this weekend is the time to start making your way to barcelona! residents should begin traveling tonight at the earliest and arrive by the morning of august 17th at the latest. depending on which satori base you're traveling from - expect anywhere from roughly 2 to 15 hours of travel time before you can finally call barcelona home for the next two weeks.
don't worry about the travel costs! satori has everything covered! all airfare, accommodations, meals, and other travel related expenses are being taken care of, so all you need to be concerned about is packing your bags and getting yourself to the airport.
remember to pack for summer! barcelona is looking hot and mostly dry as everyone arrives, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures sitting around the 90s°F / low 30s°C. monday may bring a brief early shower, but otherwise expect warm days, warm nights, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore the city.
house assignments will be sent out tomorrow evening at the latest (pst)! last minute sign ups are absolutely welcome. everyone (new members included) is more than encouraged to join us for the trip!
for now, we just wanted to make sure everyone knows that we have house assignments accounted for all completed survey responses as well as everyone who liked the original residency invitation post. if you completed one or both, you are accounted for and will receive a house assignment tomorrow! if you expressed interest another way and aren't sure whether we've caught you, feel free to send us a quick message and we'll double check for you!
at the moment, we're sitting at 8 houses with 8 people each. we expect those numbers to shift as characters come and go, but we'll do our best to keep things balanced as the residency gets underway!
