love all the pevensies so much but susan & edmund will always have my heart I fear. like they’re the black sheep of the family. the flawed children of aslan. the traitor king who mended (10 yo boy who go enchanted and groomed, tortured and abused) and the queen who’s no longer a friend of narnia (traumatised girl who coped differently than her siblings and got punished for that). the beautiful southern sun that shines on the great western woods, who melts the snow away and ends winter with soft rays. it’s always “where’s ed ?” and “don’t you snap at su like that”. dark hair, freckled face, the gentle & the just, it’s them against the world.

and after the train accident susan can’t look at her reflection in the mirror without seeing her brother.

Something about the fact that after the Pevensie’s are pulled out of Narnia three of them don’t live long enough to reach those ages again. That Peter is supposed to be around twenty eight by the end of their reign and after returning to England he only lives until he is twenty two. That despite living multiple lives he never makes it to thirty. That Edmund dies at nineteen and Lucy at seventeen.

That Susan is left behind knowing what her siblings would have looked like for several years after their deaths and then not knowing any longer. That she grows up and has to face life without the people she always expected to be by her side. That even in Aslan’s kingdom the Pevensie’s cannot find true peace because someone is always missing.

That Peter never has the chance to graduate university or become a doctor, that Lucy doesn’t even live to adulthood, that Edmund never gets old enough for people to take him seriously. That Susan lives to be older than Peter ever got to be and then older than all her siblings put together before sixty.

That she has to grow up for all of them and they never get to.

Hamilton and Burr's whole motifs are related with time

So I represented both as different time devices

Hamilton is a stopwatch, because y'know the whole running out of time thing. It's always used for a deadline or a plan, so it can give off a feeling of ambition or determination. While also giving off a vibe of urgency and pressure.

Burr is an hourglass. Patient and slow. But it builds up over time. It's also very delicate. One drop and the whole glass shatters, needing to be rebuilt. This can be interpreted as Burr's strategy whenever he fails, he stops and rethinks his entire plan and rebuilds a new goal.

Additionally, hourglasses are asymmetrical. Lin explained once that he wrote Burr to be asymmetrical. And an hourglass never always has the same grains of sand on each side (at least not often). So yeah bonus points there :D

I haven't decided on a time device for her just yet but so far I'd probably choose a grandfather clock. Stable, welcoming/homey, and from my research it can last very long. And she lived the longest.
