Finally all set to review the FLAX JELLO from @ennscloset I was eyeing this since long. I always prepare my flax gel at home so wanted to know how this gel works. It's been few times I've used this alone and sometimes with other products on my hair. All I already knew that my hair loves flax gel. Enn's closet products are known for their chemical free formulations and so is this. Priced at 650 INR for 125 gms. It's obviously pricey. But got this on offer from Nykaa. ... It delivers what it claims... 1. Smooth and defined curls 2. Frizz free shiny tresses. 3. Amazing lavender fragrance. 4. Easy application with a tub pack. 5. Helps hair retain the bounce and volume. Just take 1-3 dollops of product and apply on damp hairs. Scrunch and find the pretty curls back. If you are a beginner and don't know how to start your curly hair journey. You can start just with this gel to style after washing and conditioning. So if u can't prepare fax gel at home. This is the best option. Only cons is it's little pricey for the quantity given. WASH DAY UPDATES- first impressions of @cantubeauty Curl Activator Cream SLIDE 1-4 day 1. Washed my hair. Prepoo with Dilute ACV or you can say an ACV prev wash to clear mild deposits if any. Shampoo- coconut oil shampoo from @wowskinscienceindia Conditioner- my all time fav @giovannicosmetics Rice water rinse followed by Leave in - @cantubeauty curl activator cream Gel- @ashbabotanics and @giovannicosmetics LA styling gel. SOTC with @righteousroots oil. Gave an amazing pattern and curl clumps, even my back hairs too. SLIDE 5-6 Day 2. Refresh as my curls get messy often these days. DIY water spray followed by @cantubeauty curl activator cream and @giovannicosmetics LA styling gel along with home made #fsg at ends. What I loved was the definition and curl pattern I got. No doubt people love @cantubeauty cream. Is it was kinda extended with #diy WashDay for me...how? Looking at my past pics, felt I'm loosing my curls. Reminded me of protein treatment. But realised while discussing with @curlyderma and @desicurly that what all is needed most is scalp detox as none of the products seem to work on my hairs what ever application or method I go for. Started with 1. Scalp detox with a #diy scrub. 2. Protein treatment with again #diy gelatin mask 3. Plain rinse and applying a #diy orange fsg gel. A days gap to see how it worked... My hairs were all shiny but spooky..like needles from ends. 4. Next day Prepoo with @righteousrootsoils 5. Washed with @arata.in nourishing shampoo. 6. Mild DC with #diy avocado hair mask. 7. Conditioner used @arata.in nourishing conditioner 8. Search for a good styling product never ends for a curly girl. In this search I came across this gel, Hemp Hold Gel from @supersmellyindia Came to know about this frm @desicurly and was intrigued with her review. Desperate to try ordered immediately. Being a wavy girl I always had this problem of retaining and keeping my waves and curls in place. Obviously a gel is a must. No doubt the fsg is a good option but if you need something strong then a proper formulation is needed. Gel free of toxins and goodness of hemp and flax seeds. This gel is translucent with a little strong fragrance but not strong enough to bother. Emulsify with water on your palms. Apply with raking and then praying hands to every section. MAKE SURE TO APPLY and COVER EACH SECTION. Let this air dry or diffuse. I have used this on my hair wash day and also alone with water to refresh. Works both ways well. Swipe to see results. My hairs had a mild cast and gave good volume with bouncy curls after scrunching. All I observed that it gives a good medium hold but that too if applied generously to cover else curls gets loose. All thanks to @desicurly for finding & recommending this. ONE BRAND AND TWO STYLING WAYS... BRAND - FIX MY CURLS @fiixmycurls CURL REFRESH (PIC 1-2)tried the curl quenching combo i.e. curl quenching butter and hair gel. Sprayed my hair with my DIY hair water spray and saturated them with water. Applied butter followed by hair gel with raking and praying hands. Left them to air dry. You can see 80% dry curls in pic one. Pic 2 gives the next day dried curls where I used my massager comb to lift the hairs and add volume. CURL WASH (PIC 3) Prepoo with homemade hair oil. Washed with @arata cleansing shampoo Conditioned with @arata.in Nourishing conditioner @fiixmycurls curl quenching combo for leave in and styling gel. Loved the volume, shine and curl ringlets formed (pic 4) What I observed- 1. Wash day hairs were softer than refresh days. 2. Shine and curl formation was amazing both ways. What I learnt- 1.You can't carry on the wash day effect for long so refresh is a must not only to style and retain the curls but to nourish the curls with required moisture. 2.its imperative to add volume manually by lifting with comb or massager on refresh days if you have wavy and curly hairs like mine. 3. Don't be afraid to try products and methods. 4. Try to understand your hair type and needs. The 2️⃣ under rated high performers...for skin. 1. Plum grape seed and sea buckthorn light stay day cream. With SPF 30 2. O3+ whitening emulsion I bought these two for my husband since he has pigmentation and tanning problem. Although I also could not resist laying my hands on them. 😅 It's been months using them. 1. Both of them are hydrating and nourishing. 2. Gives dewy glow but no oiliness or greasiness. 3. No breakouts on my acne prone skin. 4. Plum day cream has SPF which works well for at least 4 hrs and yes no white cast at all. 5. O3 works fairly on acne marks and pigmentation. It helps lighten them. 6. Quantity is good enough to last long as you need pea size to cover the face. 7. Plum claims not to have any harmful ingredients or chemicals while no such claims by O3 while it does have mineral oil in it. I'm happy I bought them.
