Just a Thought

Not too long ago I read a theory about Lincoln being adopted, and it seemed pretty interesting, but after watching "Ties That Bind" I just realized something. The father said "The one with the whit hair, I'm not even sure if it's mine." Then, in the end, the mom is like "You're the best 10 things that ever happened to us." Then the dad nudges her and says "There's 11, honey." Also keep in mind I'm fairly new to the show, I'm catching up on kisscartoon. I think Lincoln is adopted, and it'll be my headcanon until it's proven or disproven. XD Welp, love ya'll, thanks for reading! X3

LITERAL ISSUES...

I have literal issues, seriously! I cannot decide what I like and don't like! I'm into so many shows right now, so I'm just gonna list all the things I currently like, so you should know what to expect here on this account: Steven Universe Undertale Fnaf Sister Location The Loud House Pokemon (anime) The Thundermans Ninjago Mighty Magiswords And my fictional crushes? *SU Spoiler* Shattered or Not Shattered

So in light of the 3 part episodes we got more than what we thought. Turns out Rose has something to do with Pink Diamond. Specifically, her demise during the rebellion. According to Eyeball Ruby, Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond. However, Steven refuses to believe it because Rose believes all life is precious and would never shatter any Gem. This is confusing because we still don’t know what exactly happened in the past during the War. All we got was that Rose shattered Pink Diamond. There have been some debates around the fandom claiming she has and has not shattered Pink Diamond. Honestly I am in the middle of this because one of these two is actually possible depending how the Crewniverse goes with this. Throughout the show, Rose is seen in multiple views and is still a mystery to everyone. We have more information on her, but even that does not solve all the answers. I am going to point out both scenarios and the logic behind whether she shattered Pink Diamond or not.

1) Rose Quartz did not shatter Pink Diamond

Rose is a firm believer in not shattering any Gem. She values all life on Earth and values her fellow Gems. In “Bismuth” Bismuth had a weapon that could have won the war but at a cost; shattering Gems. Once a Gem is shattered, they can never come back. Instead of using the Breaking Point to win the war, she poofed Bismuth and hid the weapon from everyone. That weapon could have changed the outcome but will cause severe casualties. She would rather win the war with her values than become like Homeworld. Her shattering Pink Diamond is straying away from her strong belief.

If Rose shattered Pink Diamond, she would be devastated and conflicted. In “We Need to Talk” Rose felt confused and bad for hurting Greg unintentionally. Rose may seem like a calm leader, but she has her panics once in a while. If Rose felt conflicted for not understanding her relationship with Greg, imagine shattering Pink Diamond. Although she fought against Pink Diamond to free Earth, she would not go far to shatter a Gem. Once Rose shatters Pink Diamond, she would be in a state of conflict and confusion. Probably to the point of losing herself even if someone reassured her that it was the only way to end the war. She would be a mess after an incident like that.

Her weapons are not meant to shatter Gems. Bismuth already told us that the sword she made was used to disrupt a Gem’s form but the Gem. Rose’s shield is a defensive weapon as well as a long range projectile. As we have seen, it is not strong enough to shatter a Gem. Rose does not want to shatter anybody and uses weapons suited for fighting not killing. If she were to shatter Pink Diamond it would be by her hand not her weapons since neither have the ability to shatter unlike the Breaking Point.

Eyeball Ruby’s statement seems odd because she said she saw it with her eye. Makes sense since she only has one eye but that means her depth perception could be off. Plus, she could have seen Rose facing Pink Diamond and poofed her. Homeworld is known for hiding information or lying about it. In “Marble Madness” Peridot had no clue the Crystal Gems were alive and thought Earth was a Gem free planet. Only Gems from the War like Jasper and Eyeball Ruby know what happened so far. However, they do not know about corrupt Gems. The Diamond Authority is pretty manipulative and harsh. It would not be surprising if they lied to the soldiers about what happened during the war and hiding information from new Gems from other planets. What Eyeball Ruby and Jasper thought they saw could be easily misunderstood or manipulated into thinking it was something else.

2) Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond

Rose Quartz is not a saint. She has her secrets she has kept from the Gems usually for reasons. In “Bismuth” she told the Gems Bismuth was lost during a battle which is a lie. Rose poofed Bismuth because she did not agree with her tactics of winning the rebellion. In “Rose’s Scabbard” she did not tell Pearl about Lion. It is still a mystery why she would hide him in the first place. Pearl thought of herself as Rose’s confidant but was mistaken when she did not know of Lion. The biggest part that tips off about Rose is in “We Need to Talk.” Greg states that he knows nothing about Rose and Rose said that was a good thing. There are still secrets Rose Quartz is hiding and shattering Pink Diamond would be a really big secret.

Rose Quartz is definitely not a pacifist. She is willing to fight other Gems for the sake of protecting Earth. In “The Answer” she smiled when faced with two Quartz Gems and does not hesitate to strike. Rose’s Army is outnumbered but they are able to hold their own. But what if that was not enough? In order to win a war, you have to take out the leader; Pink Diamond. This battle could have happened on Earth because how else would others witness the fight. Also the moon base is very clean and intact (at least during the war) which means no battle was ever fought. It is a mystery why Pink Diamond would go to Earth, but it happened none the less.

I do not think Rose intentionally shattered Pink Diamond. Pink Diamond has only conquered colonized one planet; Earth. While the other diamonds on the moon mural have multiple planets. This could mean this was Pink Diamond’s first and last planet. Pink Diamond might be the youngest, smallest, and/or weakest of the Diamonds. If she was staying on the moon base the entire time, she would not be familiar with Earth’s terrain. Earth has multiple types of terrain suited for advantage and disadvantage in battle. Pink Diamond would only know that Earth is organic, rich in nutrients for Gems, and the buildings being built. Being on the moon base gives her lack of knowledge about the fields of Earth. During the battle, something must have happened to shatter Pink Diamond. But the soldiers might have thought Rose shattered Pink Diamond. It was unintentional.

However, why would she keep that a secret from the Gems? If it was accidental, her army would have understood and forgiven her. The reason could be is the Gem weapon. This weapon is very dangerous because it causes Gems to go corrupt. Although her rebellion did get wiped out, Garnet and Pearl were the only survivors. If they knew Rose shattering Pink Diamond was the reason for the Diamond’s corruption weapon, they would not be so forgiving. I mean an entire war was defeated by one blast of a powerful weapon. If Pearl and Garnet knew Rose was the reason, they would question her as a leader. Just like how she kept Bismuth a secret to protect her, she is trying to protect herself and the team. This does not mean she is in the right. If it is true Rose shattered Pink Diamond, everything about her will change.

There is some common knowledge for both of these scenarios to happen and that is because of information two Gems; Peridot and Jasper. In the recent episodes we learned a lot more. In “Beta” Peridot explains that the beta kindergarten was made ½ way through the war and used for making Gems in a hurry. Because the beta kindergarten was too small, many Quartz came out small and deformed. With the exception of Jasper. Peridot concluded that Jasper is indeed the perfect Quartz. I mean her hole is massive and perfect. In “Earthlings” we learn more. Jasper has a real bone to pick with Rose Quartz. To the point of abandoning her mission to settle the score. During her corruption, she reveals that she resented Rose for basically ruining Earth and to what she did to Pink Diamond. Pink Diamond was originally Jasper’s superior and seemed very upset when Steven didn’t remember. It also hints at when the fight between Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond might have happened. Jasper fought the moment she was created but was very close to Pink Diamond. There might have been some time the two interacted before the battle to create such a bond. In “Same Old World” and “Monster Reunion” hinted at when it happened because the Gem corruption happened without the pink color. Not sure when, but the weapon could have been fired shortly (in the span of a few years) after the battle. This revelation could have happened near the end of the war.

The reaction of Pearl is also interesting. Some say it looks like guilt, but it is more of shock to me. In “Mirror Gem”. “Rose’s Scabbard”, and “Cry for Help” she looks like that as well.

Usually this happens when she is in severe shock. Two things can happen depending on what Rose did. Either way, it seems Pearl is in complete shock either from knowing Rose has done such a foul dead and did not know about or she knows a secret the other Gems don’t know and brought back painful memories. Her reaction is very intriguing but not surprising.

All in all, I am not defending or against Rose in this matter. Just wanted to think on both sides and find the logic behind her actions of the two scenarios. Whatever happens, I am accepting of either situation regardless. This is the Crewniverse we are talking about. We won’t know what will happen at this point. Hopefully tomorrow will shed some light on this new revelation since it is the season 3 finale. What will Steven learn about his mother?

This is an extension about Steven’s rip in his star shirt definitely symbolizing Steven’s view of Rose, the rift and such maybe not so much, but that was speculation from the beginning.

However, I just noticed that Steven’s lack of sandals accompany the symbolism of his shirt.

At the same moment when Jasper rips Steven’s star, she also causes him to lose his sandals.

Now at first this may have seemed like nothing, but since then, two episodes have aired and though the events do take place on the same day as “Earthlings”, the continuity is not an accident. 

If it didn’t mean anything, they wouldn’t have made Steven lose his sandals in the first place.

However, this isn’t the first time he’s lost a sandal, and that’s where things get interesting.

When the scene hits its climax, Steven finally puts his foot on the ground, burning himself. This shows a lot: Steven’s desperation at what he had to do in order to defend himself, the intensity of what happen, etc. 

However, just like his shirt being ripped by Jasper at the time it was, this particular moment for him to lose his sandal goes deeper than setting the scene.

Just like the rip in his shirt, his loss of his sandals accompany his realization of the truth obout Rose Quartz and her actions and the destruction of what he thought she was. With Bismuth, the fact that she locked her away and kept her a secret and with Jasper, the reveal that she did something to Pink Diamond and is later told by Eyeball and confirmed by Garnet that Rose shattered her.

SO this could mean a few things. Is the loss of Steven’s sandals symbolic of him losing some of his innocence? What if its symbolic of him losing some of his humanity as he’s sucked in to all the chaos of the world of the gems and embracing his gem half, coming closer to his destiny? Could be both! And I think it’s also providing more evidence that Steven is like Rose Quartz, despite what we’re all finding out about her past.

The comparison of Rose Quartz to Steven and whether he is like her or even her is a motif throughout the whole series, but it’s been very significant the last few episodes. The most intense confrontations have been because of other gems mistaking Steven for Rose- Bismuth, then Jasper, and now Eyeball.

“Tell me you don’t see the resemblance?”

Now this is sweet and funny, but the thing is, we as the audience know that there is, indeed, a HUGE resemblance between them, mostly in personality and abilities, not physically. Namely, this one (from this post):

Now that Steven’s barefoot like Rose was, it’s another similarity between them. Again, illustrating that Steven is becoming more and more gem, and more like his mom than we may think, despite her dark past. And I think it’s just the beginning.

You Know Wha...

I'll be honest with you. For a very long time, I've wanted an episode like Bubbled soooo much. When it aired, I regretted wanting an episode like that. Now you know what? I NEED an episode more feelsy than that, I just NEED one. Maybe because I wanna watch the gems cry and stuff... (Especially Pearl) Wait....does that make me a sadist? *shrugs* Oh well!

Just Some Thoughts

While watching “Know Your Fusion” I couldn’t help but listen very closely to two things Smoky said. “They say two wrongs don’t make a right, I guess I’m living proof that that’s true!” Something about when they said that tells me that both Steven and Amethyst are hiding some pretty dark feelings, but then again, I may be looking to deep into this… The other thing they said: “I’m just one big, super wrong, good for nothing dud, with a yoyo!” This may be just their own feelings, but then again, I’m not entirely sure. Whenever Sardy said “Something they both think, something they both do..” Something tells me that if two people in a fusion feel the same way, then the fusion will ALSO feel that way about themself. I might be looking way, way too deep into this, I just thought I’d point this out because it sparked my interest. Not to mention the faces Sardy made while Smoky said that stuff, she seemed, like what Smoky said really bothered her. WELP! That’s all I guess…um, yeah….xD Thanks for reading this….? Bye! XD

Whenever Steven was blasted off into space, the face on Sardonyx shows that she must've been scared out of her mind. The other thing is, I'M FREAKING CRYING....I WATCHED THE ENDING OF BUBBLED OVER AND OVER, AND I EVEN LOOKED IT UP ON HERE! AFTER FOREVER, I'M FINALLY SHEDDING A TEAR!!! WHY DO I TORTURE MYSELF THIS WAY????

Things we learned from “Bismuth”

 -Crystal Gem video game down time is adorable -The tree inside lion is might possibly be a real tree? Or at least a magic one -Steven’s  “She big.” -Lion’s facial expressions seem to indicate that he experiences some discomfort when large or fast moving objects enter or leave his pocket dimension -“Who do you belong to?” “Nobody!” - “Cool it, your Ruby is showing” -Bismuth is one of the original Crystal Gems -”We could always use more Amethysts!” means that there were some other Amethysts before and during the war -Rose never told the other Gems what really happened with Bismuth, like Garnet said “She kept many secrets” -”It’s not always easy to understand Rose’s choices, but we have to stand behind them” really attests to Rose’s leadership skills, that her following had such an incredible amount of respect, trust and faith towards her -Bubbled, sentient gems have no sense of time, but gems in objects do -Bismuth definitely has two sides to her, and seems to enjoy war a tad too much -The Crystal gems have always been the underdogs -Garnet and Bismuth once took on either 1 or 3 battalions of quartz soldiers and came out without a single scratch on them -Pearl once pulled out a Nephrite (type of Jade), out of the cockpit of a drop ship. So pre war Jades were used to pilot ships, much like post war Peridots are today (now there’s a half developed theory) -The forge is a secluded location that seemingly only Bismuth can open the door to, and was where she created all of the material weapons used during the war -Bismuth shape shifts her hand into hammers to smelt weapons with, and actual weapons to fight with and can withstand very extreme temperatures -Bismuths were used by homeworld to build spires and temples that the elite upper-class would enjoy -Bismuths are infact homeworld gems and so our Bismuth was not made by Rose Quartz, but rather liberated by her -Rose Quartz fought not only for humanity and to protect the Earth, but also to liberate gems and break them away from Homeworld’s mold -Bismuth can enhance a gems physical weapon and not just material weapons -The gems never mentioned Bismuth to Amethyst before, so it’s very possible that the gems haven’t mentioned any of their fallen allies to Amethyst before either -”Not every quartz can make a whip like this” could imply that our Amethyst is indeed special, possibly since she is the only quartz gem we have seen with an offensive weapon (Rose has a shield, Jasper has a helmet), or it could have been Bismuth just trying to smooth talk and open up to Amethyst -Bishmuth is a great pep talker, like I could see Rose using her to boast morale -The CG’s used to have a ritual to spar before every battle they should bring it back tbh -Garnet being called “the Power Couple” is great and I can’t wait to see how people will still find a way to say that rupphire are still “just friends” -Pearl’s energy projection developed after the war -Steven’s pre battle rituals are so pure and great -Since Bismuth does not have a room in the temple, it was built post war, which I’m sure was already established -Steven considers Rose’s sword his weapon, even though Connie is really the only one of them that knows how to use it (and also Stevonnie) -Bismuth created Rose’s sword, her finest piece of work, as something that would instantly poof a gems form, but never harm the gem itself -Spires were built for intellectuals, and arenas for fighters -”Just another Quartz solider made right here in the dirt”, So from that statement does it conclude that Rose was made on Earth -Rose inspired gems to do more than what they were told they could do -Bismuths’ pep talk to Steven sounds exactly like what Rose told Bismuth: You don’t have to be what everyone says you have to be, you can be something better, which is honestly what Steven needs to hear right now -Home world resorted to cheap tactics, which is ultimately what ended the war -Bismuth has the right mindset for a war, but her ideas are just too much -It’s evident why Rose had bubbled Bismuth -Bismuth was fueled by an utter hate for Homeworld, while Rose was fueled by a desire to escape it and potentially create a new society -Bismuth desire to free all of homeworld is very reminiscent of real world desires to spread democracy, even to places that don’t necessarily want it, but still useing the guise of “democracy” as a way to justify all means -Bismuth uses her cause as a motive to justify her actions, even if those actions are the same ones that Homeworld would use against them -”Nobody is more Crystal Gem than I am” could imply that the CG’s were a lot more brutish and ruthless than we realize, or that Bismuth was just that one gem that took it way too far -Steven parallels Rose so much that Bismuth fully believes that Rose is still there -”After you lied about EVERYTHING” dark crewniverse show us the forbidden Rose Quartz eps -Okay wowow so it is VERY apparent why Rose had bubbled Bismuth -Rose valued Gemkind, and not just the Crystal Gems. Rose did not want to shatter opposing gems just because they didn’t believe in what she did -Bismuth would have extended the war way past saving the Earth,and  back to Homeworld itself, liberating all gems, no matter who she had to shatter to do so -”Even if we don’t agree, nobody deserves this” -”Then you really are better than her” okay so im crying thats cool -Judging by everything that just happened, I think it’s safe to assume that our Bismuth was infact the gem that poofed lapis, and not some other Bismuth -”Glad to have another chance”, but then she had to go make the same mistake twice -Steven stright up put his foot on a burning metal floor, is this like a new power or what man -Bismuth is safely bubbled in the burning room and can potentially be let out again so that is very comforting -NEW LOVE LIKE YOU VERSE how did I forget this honestly Wow okay so that episode was a lot and very heavy, if I missed anything feel free to add it on
