Help Basmala Rebuild Her Life and Achieve Her Dreams🕊️🇵🇸
Hello, my name is Basmala Almadhoun, and I’m 19 years old. I come from a family of seven. In 2023, I graduated from high school with a score of 91%, and I had planned to pursue my dream of studying dentistry at university. I had always imagined spending my days studying hard and working toward a brighter future. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to experience any of that, as the war in Gaza shattered my dreams.
The university I was going to attend was completely destroyed 😔💔in a bombing, and since then, my family and I have been living through unimaginable hardships. The Israeli army ordered civilians to evacuate their homes and head to the south of Gaza for safety. My family and I first sought refuge at Al-Nasr Children's Hospital in the north, then moved to my sister’s house in Jabalia. However, just after we arrived, a neighboring house was bombed, partially destroying my sister's home, and we narrowly escaped with our lives.
On November 15, 2023, we were forced to move once again, this time to Deir al-Balah, where we are now living in a small tent, as if we’ve gone back 50 years in time. We cook over an open fire, wash our clothes by hand, and survive without electricity, gas, or the internet. Prices are high, and we can barely afford basic necessities like food, cleaning supplies, and clothing. My father lost his job, leaving us with no source of income.😭💔
An entire year of my life has been lost, and so has my dream. By now, I should have completed my first year of university. I am asking for help not just to survive, but to rebuild my life and future.
Why do I need help?
To reunite my family and help us temporarily relocate to a safe place.
To have hope for a new beginning and a chance to recover from the devastation of war.
To rebuild our home and find proper shelter.
To resume my studies abroad and finally pursue my dream of studying dentistry at a prestigious university.

"I’m writing to you with a hear heavy with sorrow. We’ve exhausted every penny we had after my father lost his job😭😭💔, and prices here have soared beyond what anyone can bear—basic goods are now sold at many times their real value. The closure of the crossings has made things even worse; no supplies are getting through, and we’re struggling just to meet our daily needs. We’re in dire need of your support; our circumstances have become unbearable, and I hope our pain reaches your hearts. 💔🕊️🫂🫂
Hello, I'm Mohammed and Basmala Almadhoun from Gaza. My family and I live in the southern part of the region, where we’re struggling under very difficult conditions. With border closures blocking food supplies, the markets have nearly emptied 🏬❌. Prices are now shockingly high, and the limited goods available aren't enough for the over one million displaced people here in the south.
Today, I went to the market, but I couldn’t afford basic items. A can of beans now costs 7 shekels (about $2), and a small cheese container is priced at 10 shekels (around $3.5) 🧀🥫. It has become nearly impossible to secure essential foods like beans, rice, and flour.
I urgently ask for your help so I can provide these vital items for my family during this incredibly challenging time. 🥺🙏
🚨Urgent Appeal 🚨from Blockaded Gaza🕊️🇵🇸
To all those with kind hearts… We are a Palestinian family from Gaza, speaking to you from a small tent in the south of the region after the occupation destroyed our home, leaving us with nothing. Our situation worsens day by day, and prices have become unbearable amid closed borders and merchants hoarding essential goods.
We are a family with a father suffering from illnesses and shrapnel wounds, and a mother striving to care for us in these harsh conditions. My younger siblings share this tent with us, unprotected from heat or cold, and our two young nieces 😭😭💔only dream of having food and water in safety.
Today, a bag of flour costs 300 shekels, and a kilogram of tomatoes is 55 shekels💔🫂🫂, prices that most of us simply cannot afford, pushing us closer to the threat of starvation. We, therefore, appeal to all generous souls everywhere to lend us a hand; your help may be our only lifeline.
Any donation, no matter how small, could bring us hope in these hard times🫂🫂🫶. We need your support to secure the most basic necessities and to keep alive the dream of a future with safety and peace for us and our loved ones.
May God bless you and your wealth, and help you continue doing good. To offer support, please reach out via GFM (here).
One year ago today, on November 15, 2023, we experienced the worst day of our lives. We were forced to leave our home in the north and make a grueling six-hour journey to the south, carrying only a bag on our backs, our ID in hand, and holding up a white flag under the scorching midday sun. Our faces showed despair and humiliation, and our hearts were heavy with pain. There was no choice—leaving was the only way to survive. Staying would have meant starvation and a slow death.
We urgently ask for your prayers and support to end this suffering and bring peace.
Certainly! Here's the translation:
A Plea for Hope as the Year Ends🕊️🇵🇸
As the end of this year approaches, all I can wish for is a moment of peace, even if just for a short while, to bring us back to our homes, to the memories and places that war has destroyed.
We simply wish to end this year with our loved ones🫂🥹, to feel the warmth of our homes that we have lost, even if only for one month. After that, the war may continue if it must. But as people, as families, we need a small pause to feel that we are still alive.
Today, we live in a small tent, with no safety or stability. Our little children, my siblings, and even the elders in my family, we all dream of a moment of calm that gives us a chance to rebuild our lives—or at least to breathe life away from the sounds of bombs.💔🥹
Your support means hope for us. It means a chance to survive, to find a safe place, and to rebuild the dreams that were shattered. We are asking for your help to raise funds to get through this crisis, to secure our basic needs, and to try to live with dignity.
Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference. The end of the year is a time of hope and humanity, and with your support, we may have a share of both.🍉🍉
