Does anyone have a YouTube link for the habs game? My laptop died and my phone won't open my usual website
I got to skate at the Bell Centre
Is there a betting pool yet? For when Patch will be traded by, and for how many ‘magic’ beans?
I’m putting down $10 bucks on him being trade for a two magic beans, and AHL prospect that will never make it on the team!
15$ on him and our 1st round pick being traded during the draft for 1 magic bean and a 4th line center who’s great in the locker room
Third round pick and a slightly undercooked bean casserole.
Stages of Hockey Trade Grief
1. Did I just hear what I thought I heard? 2. Okay but what SOURCE said we traded him, can they be trusted? 3. Swearing 4. Waffle and ice cream 5. More swearing 6. Blame 7. Dinosaur noises? 8. More swearing 9. laying n the floor next to a borrowed dog and regretting ever having trusted a hockey team.
Conspiracy Theory
The Habs trade all of Gallaghers friends. They want him miserable, so after they trade Patch for a 3rd round pick and a Ham sandwich, and Gally is Captain, they can claim it wasn't the Captaincy that made him miserable.
Montreal traded Galchenyuk to Arizona for Max Domi. This is a thing that has happened. Stay tuned for me either crying or joining the Shark fandom full time. Ocean sharks...not hockey sharks...
It's been a while since I have posted anything interesting, but i intend to get back into live blogging. It will probably be more so on Twitter for now, so feel free to follow me there. On Twitter I'm hobbitsandhabs
Montreal vs Vegas has me extremely excited.
I’m seeing people going, “oh Price was injured that explains his poor performance!” and I’ve gotta put my foot down.
A lower-body injury is not what’s been ailing Price all season, nor was what caused him so much difficulty last night.
His biggest problem thus far has been that he can’t track the puck. He’s lost sight of the puck going behind the net many times already this season - sometimes he’s been lucky, others that leaves him with no reaction time and a goal results. He’s not fighting as hard to see through screens. His rebound control, usually one of the best in the league, is failing because he is not seeing the puck. When he sees the puck, he knows exactly where to redirect the rebound, or how to control it so he can freeze the puck. Instead, he’s been uncharacteristically caught with the puck trickling behind him after making an initial save many times already, most times not knowing where the puck is until his defensemen bail him out and clear it, or until there’s a goal.
Just to make it clear, that’s all mental. None of these problems stem from physical injury. They are all direct results of low mental resilience - which, when lacking, don’t allow Price the confidence or ability to make those saves we’re so used to seeing, the way he makes them look like child’s play.
I certainly don’t doubt that Price currently has a physical injury as well. But that’s not what’s been the problem this season.
The highlight of the game so far was in 1st Intermission when the flower crown filter ignored my cat and instead adorned the head of Bob McKenzie...
You know those starfish in the movie Aquamarine? The ones that stick on your ears and whisper compliments? I guarantee if Alex Galchenyuk had some complimenting starfish he would be a point a game player. Just needs someone to believe in him.
Pretty sure the Habs are just a vivid hallucination we are all sharing.
Things that have made me uncomfortable on public transit:
1) rowdy intoxicated groups
2) men who approach me when i’m alone at night
3) strangers who make inappropriate or lewd comments
4) spiders
5) when a man sat on me when i was alone in a metro station at night
6) the time a guy literally followed me from Verdun to my street in Pierrefonds and i needed to go into a tim hortons for safety.
Things that have never made me nervous on public transit:
1) People wearing religious garments
