👓 — as soon as she caressed his arm, he felt his face growing hotter. why would someone like her be interested in someone like him? she was a very adorable girl and she could most definitely have anyone she wanted, but she’d had utsushimi-kun ask him.

“i... haven’t actually. i was waiting for my d- for you” tenya explained, voice still rather flustered as he sat back down and grabbed the menu so he could see what was on it. it seemed like utsushimi-kun had set them up in a rather expensive place which wasn’t as surprising as the person he was sharing his company with. “it seems like this is an american cuisine restaurant. very fitting for utsushimi-kun.”

As Yayoi sat down across from Tenya, she made a mental note to thank Camie a million times. She still wasn’t used to asking people out, rather than being asked out. And there was no way she was going to get the uptight class rep to ask her out himself. So this one-sided blind date setup was perfect.

Honestly, she was just glad he’d agreed to this.

👓 — so it was true. utsushimi-kun had set him up with hirose-kun. he had no idea why she hadn’t asked him herself, but he figured it would be best not to pry. regardless, hirose-kun was a beautiful young lady and she was incredibly kind. it made him feel a lot better than his date was actually someone he already knew rather than some stranger from shiketsu. “oh” he replied, hurriedly scurrying to his feet and pulling out her chair so she could have a seat. “p-please have a seat then, hirose-kun! my apologies! i should have pulled out your chair instantly!” his face grew pinker and pinker as he spoke.

👓 — a blind date. tenya had never been on a blind date before, but utsushimi-kun had told him that he absolutely must go on a date with a friend of hers. he didn’t particularly mind, but he wasn’t actually much for the dating scene. if anyone were being technical, this would be considered his first date ever. which was a little embarrassing to admit. he wasn’t really the one people asked on dates anyway, so why did utsushimi-kun’s friend want to go out with someone like him so terribly?

as he sat quietly and waited patiently at the table in the restaurant that he’d been directed to go to, he noticed a familiar face among the people coming inside. “hirose-kun” he breathed, watching as she came closer to the table he was sitting at. so, she was his date? how unexpected! “hello, hirose-kun. what brings you here on this wonderful evening?” he didn’t want to assume that she was his date even though that seemed to be the case.

✨ — kunie stared at their display for a long time, wondering if perhaps the roses would be happier if they were placed somewhere else in the shop. they gently placed their fingers on the petals as they thought deeply about it. they barely noticed the customer coming inside. had it not been for the bell, they would have continued to stare. “welcome” they greeted, turning their head and giving a polite, tight-lipped smile in the direction of the guest. “can i help you?”

they weren’t exactly meant to be the face of the flower shop, but somehow that’s how it had ended up. the owner had liked kunie’s face despite it being rather plain in terms of expression. “we’re having a sale on tulips if you’d like to buy some for a special occasion or special someone. although, i’d personally recommend carnations.” oh. maybe they were being a little too forward? too talkative? they closed their mouth then, pursing their lips nervously even though it didn’t show on their face.
