HoneyHunters: Day 8
Caroline’s Picks:
Wanderlust is my new favorite word. Besides its meaning as a strong desire to travel, the elicits that sort of hope and giddiness you might experience before you set off on an anticipated vacation or adventure. It represents that good kind of anticipation. I love to explore new places whether they are cross country, across the globe or in my backyard but there is one major factor stopping me and it is money. Thanks to Honey I can buy art depicting far away places like the Effiel Tower and allow myself the satisfaction of daydreaming about a stroll along the Seine. Honey helped me save $24 on this wall art and thus bringing the total price down to $75.99- the cheapest way you’ll ever be able to experience Paris.
My budget may hamper my ability to journey across the globe for now but music is one thing I won’t give up. I am constantly playing music and am always looking for new ways to experience it. So instead of dishing out for a music festival or a concert, I found this Crosley Cruiser Briefcase Portable Turntable for only $99 at Urban Outfitters. Thanks to Honey, I can use the money I have saved over the past 8 days to buy this turntable and play some Parisian music while imagining myself sipping espresso and watching the Effiel Tower’s twinkling lights, all for quite the bargain.
Ryan’s Picks:
Ping pong is a sport of champions. There are few other games out there that can match the excitement, speed, and athleticism exhibited in table tennis. I happen to love the game and can hardly turn down any opportunity to play. That being said, however, I have neither the space nor the money for a real table. Instead, I used Honey to save $4 and got this Pongo Ping Pong Set for $36 from dormify.com. Now I can play anytime, anywhere so long as there is a flat surface and somebody willing to take me on.
With today’s savings, I am at a Honey Hunt total of $47.20. Although that is still quite a ways behind Caroline, I am determined not to let that bother me. Keeping this thought in mind, I searched for something that would put a smile on my face in spite of being beat again yesterday. Incrediblethings.com offered the perfect solution in the form of these “Superheroes as Ancient Greek Art” prints for only $19.
