I'm very stressed for this exam. This is one of the biggest this semester! (My notes and slides are 1063 pages) 🥲

Only thing keeping me motivated is the fact it's an open book exam, makes me feel like it's not that dramatic if i don't know everything.

it’s been a while since i’ve posted here.

hope everyone’s been good and enjoying christmas break.

i’ve been able to do a little bit of studying everyday but i hope to do more. it’s hard to do work with my entire family around but i think i’m doing a good job.

although, it kinda pisses me off when some family members get irritated when i don’t go out with them when i have to study but i’m trying to ignore that.

About how I study:

I usually watch a class and take my notes after. Then I do exercises to help me memorize what I studied in that day. Of course I do all this always drinking a coffee(and water too) -> it keeps my brain working. 🧠

Last night I went to the common room because I saw it was empty, and sat down to do part of a past paper. It's a really nice place to sit down and do work. Would be nicer if it weren't pitch black outside though...

I´m still alive! Small photodump from the last few months:

1) Tried to save a hedgehog that was starting to crawl under a car: I picked it up with my lunchbox and put it in the grass next to the street, didn´t see a flat hedgehog later that week so I assume it survived. Look at that cute little face!

2) We went to the zoo for a friend´s birthday, it was a terribly cold and rainy day but that also meant very few people so that was nice! Have a cool looking fish!

3) The lab has a lot of fungal spores flying around apparently, a lot of my plates had already contamination, but it´s also quite beautiful!

4) Been having these kinda dates-not-dates with my crush, this was when we had a film night and in order to not have to cook ourselves and save time we ordered pizza, but when after 2.5 h we still had no confirmation we ordered somewhere else, and can you guess what arrived 10 min later? So we ended up with 4 pizza´s 😅 (and it took as long as the time we made dumplings from scratch... we had a good laugh)

Next post I´ll actually try to update on the PhD progress more ^^

This was my most productive day in a while!

I slept in, and started studying later than planned but I ended up studying for about 5 hours, which was the most I studied since I started on November 1st, so I am proud. Also, during the last 3 hours my little brother joined me so he wouldn't study alone and we studied together and it was lovely🥹.

I made pumpkin cakes yesterday and they’re yummy! Here’s some Halloween theme notes about Addison’s because I have so much to do and nowhere near enough time so instead of stressing I’m just gonna make halloweeny notes and keep on going. Hope everyone has a lovely day today!

Saturday, October 29th

I slept in today, which was necessary, since I haven’t gotten a lot of rest the past few days, but limited the amount of time I had today to get work done. I grocery shopped and cleaned, and there’s a pork loin cooking in the oven, so I’m trying to get some proofs written before life catches up to me again. I have five left and they’re all due Monday.

I have started making my own coffee again, since life is really busy. I need the extra caffeine to get all my work done. I don’t love it, but it’s necessary for now. Hopefully things will calm down in December.
