I think growth is when you grow up admiring the relationship Ross and Rachel have, but when you actually fall in love, you’d rather have something like Monica and Chandler. You don’t want to chase someone for 10 years, you don’t want to be destined, you don’t want to be “someone’s lobster.” You want to meet someone and become their friend and you unexpectedly fall for them before you even fully realize that you have. You want to fall in love with your best friend, and someone that was an outcast just like you were. Someone that understands you on every level and loves you and sacrifices for you without a second thought. You don’t want some strung out puppy love that lingered on for 15 years.
