My favorite video in all history
its 2:31am. im thinking about the fact that ive never met a woman who hasn’t been treated like shit by a man. u ever think about that? u ever think about the fact that its a defining experience of womanhood to be subjected 2 the cruelty of men? that every woman knows that fear, that pain, that anger, that sadness? nothin breaks my heart more than that
A male officer complained that he was “racially and sexistly slurred."
In context: He was objecting to statistics in a presentation about police interactions with trans people, showing that LGTBQ people are more likely to encounter police violence, saying he’s never seen/noticed this [so therefore it’s not real], and another (female) officer said “It’s because of your while male privilege” and he threw a temper tantrum, and now she’s suspended.
So basically the police are going through diversity training as a formality, and if there’s any learning happening, you’re policing wrong.
You can shoot and kill a black man, but if you correct a white man you get suspended.
This is what the system does to good cops

SHE DID THAT

Every time I see this video, it renews me
I wasn’t asked to a single dance in high school and didn’t have a serious romantic relationship until I was 22. And like, yeah that shit hurt when I was younger. I had a lot of fears that I was unlovable and that I didn’t deserve to be happy. And every time I would try to talk to anyone about it, the conversation became, “you’ll find someone”, when it should have been, “you don’t need a relationship or a date, you’re lovable & complete & beautiful on your own”.
So yeah, please normalize young people not dating, and please stop shaming them for it. There’s more to life than romance, despite what the media wants us to think.
Wow just wow.
What the fuck man

Just watched a clip of this on CNNs Snapchat and I’m still speechless
Oh my God someone please what can we do about this can I donate anywhere or something this is horrifying
Look at this, and remember it next time someone says that the gay community survived the AIDS epidemic.
We didn’t survive, we started over. We lost all but an entire generation.
This is what “we survived Reagan, you’ll survive Trump” looks like. No, we didn’t.
WHY DID A GROUP OF WHITE MEN WRITE LAWS FOR PEOPLE THAT WOULD BE BORN HUNDREDS OF YEARS LATER WHY ARENT WE ALOUD TO CHANGE AND REVISIT THE CONSITUTION AS TIME CHANGES SHIT THATS FROM 300 YEARS AGO DONT APPLY TO TODAY THE FUCK
You know, Thomas Jefferson said that Americans should revisit the Constitution every twenty years and re-write from scratch as needed to reflect the changing needs of society.
The reason for this, he said, was that he feared that Americans would not view themselves as stakeholders in the foundation document of US law, and therefore become divorced from the idea of their own self-governance, and that politicians from the President down would become ‘like wolves’.
*Looks around at America in 2017*
Yeah he fuckin called that shit.
Not all heroes wear capes
The saga continues
A happy ending.
You took our peoples as slaves but aren’t taking refugees.
why do any characters need love interests, i’ve went like 21 years without a love interest
Okay but after seeing this I started doing it too and it’s amazing how many men I’ve run into bc they expected me to move
Gotta try it
I work (and walk) on a college campus. I’ve lost count of how many men I’ve smacked shoulders with.
Recently, I was standing outside my son’s classroom waiting to talk to his teacher. I stood on one side of the hallway, not even close to the center. At some point, a man came walking along. I was standing right in his path, but the hallway was empty, so I logically expected him to swerve around me. Instead he kept walking right toward me, got to me, and stopped, as if waiting for me to get out of his way. I didn’t; I just smiled politely at him. He finally walked around me, clearly annoyed that I hadn’t leapt out of his manly path.
Now I’m wishing I’d leapt aside, taken off my jacket and laid it on the floor before him, then bowed deeply and said, “My Liege!”
I also work at a college campus. I smack shoulders sometimes, but I find that if I stare straight ahead and follow the advice below, people get the heck out of the way.
Honestly this post changed how I carry myself when walking alone in public, or in a situation where I’m the one leading. People definitely move for the murder gaze.
Confirmed. I once had to rush back inside a convention hall as the con was closing in order to a retrieve a sick friend’s medication, and I didn’t understand why people in the crowd were jumping out of my way (literally—one guy vaulted a table) until I realized I was dressed as the Winter Soldier and doing the Murder Walk because that’s just how I walk in those boots. I got the meds, got out, and made a mental note.
I repeated the experiment later, wearing the boots but otherwise my usual clothing and mimicking the expression I thought I’d had at that moment. People parted like I was Charlton Heston.
I now wear that style of boots whenever possible. I recently had a man do a double-take as I walked by and ask me, politely, where I had served because I “looked like a soldier.” I’m not current or former military. I was wearing a flowy purple peasant top and looked as un-soldierlike as possible.
Moral of the story: wear comfortable shoes, square your shoulders, and walk like you’ve been sent to murder Captain America.
WALK LIKE YOU’VE BEEN SENT TO MURDER CAPTAIN AMERICA
It’s called the Murder Strut.
IT’S BACK!!!!!! I was searching for this to show my daughter the other day and couldn’t find it. I’m so glad IT’S BACK!! I will always reblog the Murder Strut!!
A guy on a bike went around me because he could tell I had no intention of moving. Thanks to this post.
This post went from Scientific to Feminist to Educational to HILARIOUS!
#make men get the fuck out of the way 2k17
I do this ALL THE TIME and will smack shoulders with dudes constantly. I once almost knocked a giant 6’4” burly dude off of his feet because I just fucking refused to cede my space to him.
Not too long ago, I was walking and some neckbeard wouldn’t move, so we knocked shoulders and then he called me a “crazy bitch.” \o/
