THERE ARE TWO major cults dedicated to the necronomicon : one to preserve it ( and use it for personal gain ), and one hell-bent on its destruction. both frequently seek out ash ( once they realize he is, in fact, The Chosen One from the book and not just some unlucky asshole ), thinking he will either join their cause or be dumb enough to hand the real book over to them. he refuses both groups every time, vehemently and furiously.
