“Yeah! That’s great!” Anna replied, her voice maybe a little higher-pitched than usual. Then she realized what she had said. “Er, not that you were in the hospital, or that you have a disorder, or, er, anything like that, erm, I just mean– well, it’s nice to have you back.” Why did Anna always put her foot in her mouth around Boo? Why was she so awkward?
She had to get back on track. Normal, non-awkward conversation. She could do this. Boo was just a regular person. There was no reason to freak out. “So, uh, what have you been up to since you got back? Is that, er, new music?”
Boo chuckled a bit at Anna’s response she knew what the other was trying to get at ... well at least she hoped that Anna wasn’t really saying it was good she was in the hospital or anything. “ Anna, chill it’s fine I get what your saying .. at least I hope your not saying anything bad. An yeah it’s nice to be back, I missed people here even if .. I feel like I have no one. But enough about that, I guess.” She said before shrugging her shoulders and sighing. Trying to keep the negative thoughts away was hard sometimes.
“Oh just doing art work, studying since i missed so much class ya know? Also got into witchcraft , well starting to get into it. Not like i have powers or anything , but it’s something I have always been interested in.” She said before laughing a bit. “ Not really new, per say it’s Veil of Maya they aren’t a new band but they are pretty heavy. Why did you like it?”

Making My Way Downtown | Open
Briar lackadaisically strolled through Main Street, peering though the windows at useless little objects the humans convinced themselves they needed. He couldn’t lie, this place was chock full of magic. Maybe not as much as Elfhame, but for the Mortal Realm he could only assume it was a lot.
Still, he didn’t see why his cousins were so keen on coming here. You had to worry about your glamour constantly; shying away from your reflection in the glass.
Taking a step back after seeing the glint of silver tipped ears, Briar spied a person. A Human? Maybe.
“You! What’s this place called? Can you take me to my cousins?”
Boo had just rolled out of classes , after taking some exams an honestly wanted to just relax an enjoy the rest of the day. Of course that meant stopping at her favorite book store Chapter Three she was hoping to find some books on Wicca an also fairies as she learned that in witchcraft you could call upon the fairies to do work for you. So she as she made her way down town, she attempted to keep the negative thoughts about possibly doing bad at her exams at bay by naming horror movies she liked when suddenly someone was near her. She stopped an stared at the person , and raised a eyebrow. “ Um you mean the shop we are standing in front of ... or the town? Cause the town is called Swynlake. And um... who exactly are your cousins? Cause if you tell me their names i might know who you are talking about.”
Spooky season creeping in like...

What Anna should have done was make an excuse and go, because even if Boo’s attitude toward her seemed to have changed, Anna couldn’t really be sure. What if she made things worse, just like she did last time she tried to make amends with the other girl? It wasn’t as though Anna necessarily needed everyone to like her, of course, but she was still new around here at Pride U. The desire to have a lot of friends meant Anna really wanted to minimize the amount of enemies she had.
Boo had apologized, after all. Maybe she had changed her mind about Anna. “Er, that’s alright, I know it was… sort of an emotional day. I probably could have gone about that better too. You live and you learn, right?” Anna said awkwardly. “I was just gonna say, er, I think some people were complaining about the music, but er, you’re probably good now…” she trailed off. “Er, how have you been?”
Boo honestly was surprised that Anna, was even still standing there after how things had gone down last time. Of course though Boo had learned to realize it wasn’t Anna’s fault or even Devyn’s fault really , that it was more of a miscommunication on everyone’s part. And that she could have handle things way better than she did, but it was in the past and there was nothing she could do about it now. Well except apologize to Anna, and Rose whenever she saw her again.
“Yeah you do, still sorry though I could have handle things way better. I just... Devyn was my first crush since Lucian and I thought he might be the one. So then everything kind of just shattered and yeah. ” She said before sighing and crossing her arms, and biting her lip hoping she didn’t sound crazy. “ Oh yeah, sorry about that I figured people have gotten used to it by now...that or they just don’t care. Um... better ya know? Going to the hospital for that bit of time really helped, learned i have a disorder caused by childhood trauma go figure.”

It couldn’t hurt to try!?
It very much could hurt to try! Huey hadn’t been working at the book shop very long, he couldn’t imagine that unleashing a demon into it would go down very well with his bosses, and who knew what it would do! It could hurt someone, or it could wreck the place, or both!
“I definitely don’t want to see what could happen.” He said, with a resolute shake of his head. When she flipped the page, causing it to glow, Huey took a small, subconscious step back. He was curious, okay? He was really curious. But he also didn’t want to get fired, or die, so. “And I think it could be terrible. Like, really awful. But wait, wait— how do you know so much about demons?”
Boo was so excited about this, having a legit book about demons that could summon them. Maybe she could finally find her parents and set them free! Of course the person beside her didn’t seem to agree with that idea at all.
“But why not ? It might not be all bad, I mean maybe some demons are nice?” She said before laughing and shaking her head, at her own horrible joke. Demons weren’t nice they were pure evil, and that’s why she killed them. The page kept glowing an she flipped it again, this time the page glowing a different color. She peeked over at Huey an watched as he took a step back, and she sighed closing the book shut before shrugging her shoulders. “ Okay but what if it’s not terrible, and we find out something awesome? And .. um because my parents were taken by demons... so i started studying them. And plus i kill them.”

Retracing Familiar Steps | Open
Robbie was tired of being indoors. He’d spent so much time in his room, looking over all his things and touching each one just to see if it would maybe spark some sort of memory. Nothing really did. The closest he’d come to remembering anything had been when he was talking to Nemo and a song had sprung unbidden into his head. He’d been so excited, rushing over to his piano to play the notes, and it had given him hope.
That hope was starting to dwindle just a little bit. It was hard, and he told himself he shouldn’t be too rough with his mind, but sitting around feeling like hole had been carved right out of his chest was frustrating and more than a little painful.
When he asked his parents for some suggestions, they asked him if he’d been to the bookstore yet.
Yeah, Robbie, you used to go to Chapter Three all the time. Maybe you should go for a walk and pop in there just to see if you feel anything.
His parents had been supportive. Maybe a little confused and worried, but supportive nonetheless, so he figured it could be worth a shot.
Except now he had no idea where he was. On his semi-frequent walks through town, he never really paid much attention to the shops. He was always lost in thought or looking over at the trees or flowers or appreciating the weather. He made a mental note to maybe try to be a little bit more aware in the future.
“Excuse me,” he said to the next person he saw passing by. “Do you think you could tell me the way to Chapter Three?”
Boo had been out enjoying a rare day of being caught up with school work, after her missing so much school because of her little freak out. But now that she knew what she had and how to handle it, she felt she was better equipped for dealing with issues that came her way. That meant checking out the local shops an really enjoying just being lazy and wondering about the shops, hoping to find something that would suit her fancy.
After gathering somethings from the local shops, she decided that she needed a trip to her favorite book shop Chapter Three mainly to see if they had any new books on supernatural creatures. Heading towards the direction that it was in, she was passing by someone when they called out to her. “ Oh um, yeah I know where it is. I was actually just on my way there, if you want you can follow me? I’m Boo by the way, pleasure to meet you. “ She said before holding out a free hand towards the stranger wondering if he was new, or rather they might just be someone she hadn’t seen before.
the-grom-queen:
Demons! Boo played with demons? That was an interesting sentence to think about. Messing with demons wasn’t usually the best thing to do, but it did make Boo pretty baller to do so. Like, it was next level crazy in a brave way. The magizoologist part of her would love to accompany Boo on one of these demon adventures she had, but she’d probably ask when they were closer friends.
Amity smiled “I suppose.” Most of the time, Amity would usually turn down any nickname someone tried to make for her. The worst being Amy…. Amy!? That’s literally some other girls name, she was NO Amy. “You and Rose would probably get along then, with the whole knife thing and all.” She giggled at the remark.
Grabbing a helpful handful of paper towels, Amity walked back over to the mess and winked at Boo. “Check this out Boo.” She took our her wand, hiding in her jean pocket and pointed it at the napkins. She closed her eyes and started centering her thoughts towards moving them. When she opened her eyes, the napkins were working together to soak up all the food and contain it in one easy area to pick up.
@sayboogibbs
Boo was glad that Amity didn’t seem to be fazed by her mentioning demons, which was a good thing lately everyone seemed to be so weird about it an it was really getting to her. Of course she got demons were a touchy subject, but i mean demon hunters were important people not people to be judged or treated badly.
Boo just chuckled an nodded her head in agreement, before jumping a bit as she felt a cold chill sweep past her and she looked around her eyes roaming the area. “ Oh Rose? I’ve met her before, although I don’t think she likes me to be honest.” She said before shrugging and sighing a bit.
Boo watched as Amity grabbed the paper towels, and followed her back towards the mess wondering how in the hell the girl was going to pull it off. Boo watched as the other girl closed her eyes, and she was about to laugh when suddenly the napkins started moving on their own soaking up the food. “ Um...i... am kind of speechless. How in the world did you do that?” She said before going over towards the napkins to start picking them up.

“Well, I did piano for a bit when I was in secondary, but it took me all year and I could barely play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” laughed Holley. “I’m also a frightfully bad singer and I haven’t got any rhythm in dancing. Violin is so elegant though.”
She shook her head a little. “Have you got a favorite song to play?”
“Hey barely playing is still a thing, Im sure with the right teacher you could play again.” She said smiling a bit, before just shrugging her shoulders at the other and picking up her guitar again strumming a few chords.” Well im sure there is something your rather good at Holley, everyone has something. An thanks i do love it to be honest.”
Boo was lost in strumming, when she heard Holley’s next question and sighed a little bit. “Yeah it’s kind of a sad song, but it’s called Another Life By Motionless In White. My ex used to sing it to me, all the time , so it’s kind of bitter sweet you know? Anyways anything i can play you? Or at least attempt to play?” She said hoping she could play something for the other girl.

So many questions. Slightly enjoyed questions; it made them feel like the center of the universe and that was always a goal for certain self-indulgent people. So questions were fine, they often led to useful information in return and Slightly very much enjoyed gleaning that from people; conversation was generally something worth their attention. Unless the other person was tediously dull; but mortals very rarely were.
“Plenty of those in this box,” they remarked with a shake of the box and a lift of it to eye the contents as if they were just personally offensive on some level. They were; Slightly’s eyes were leagues sharper than mortals’ and those colors were painfully bland. “I can color an entire hideous rainbow at this rate.”
Cael chirped in agreement but continued none the less layering green on the page before him, small fox brow furrowed in concentration.
“You don’t look familiar either,” Slightly remarked, “Which isn’t surprising since I have no idea who you are.”
“Oh really, I mean ..” She trailed off as they shook the box , and kind of glanced in the box the colors looked okay for the most part. Way more colors than she had used before, but since she just bought new pencils that wouldn’t be a problem. “ Why color with them then? I mean if you think they are hideous.” She said rather confused as to why they would color if they hated them so much. She watched as what she could only assume was their pet, chirp in response to their statement.
Boo shifted her bags a bit , an chuckled a bit before shrugging a bit. “ I’ve been away for a bit , if you just arrived in town it wouldn’t be surprising you don’t know me. I’m Mary Gibbs, but you can call me Boo. An what would your name be?” She said before setting her bags down, giving her arms a rest finally.

Angry Girl Music | Marianna
It was getting kind of late, and Anna could still hear music blasting down the hallway. Loud, crashing, heavy metal music– the kind of thing Devyn liked because of the beat. Anna knew it wasn’t really her job to tell them to turn it down, but Anna figured he would probably rather get it from Anna than from one of the RAs. Plus, it was an opportunity to hang out more. Anna would take any excuse.
So she was surprised to hear the music actually coming from Pacifica and Boo’s room. Huh. Anna was already in the hallway anyway, so she knocked on the door. “Hey, uh, Pacif–” The door opened. Anna gulped. “Oh, hey, Boo.”
@sayboogibbs
[she’s in pajamas lol]
Boo had been blasting music so far with no one bothering maybe it was because people were used to her antics by now or the RA’s just didn’t care at this point anymore. She was getting caught up on the month or maybe less she wasn’t sure at this point of school work she had missed by going to the psych ward. It had been needed that was for sure, and she had been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder which explained alot of things in her life. She was about to change the song to something from Motionless In White when someone started knocking at her door.
Getting up she sighed an opened the door expecting the RA’s , but instead it was Anna... Boo was half tempted to shut the door in her face even though it wasn’t right. “ Hey Anna, i was just doing some school work um hold on...” She trailed off an quickly paused the music on her phone so it stopped blasting from her speaker. “ Um..so what’s going on? I’m um sorry for scaring you , on the spring break trip ya know?”

They’re the talk of the town because….: Mary has a child with her, that no one knows how she got it considering she didn’t appear pregnant when she left. Nor did her parents ever mention a grandchild before their mysterious death.
Bio: Mary loved her little small town, an then it was all taken away from her in the blink of a week because she had caused a major scandal for her parents who were considered royalty in the horse world. Mary of course had hoped that she could raise the baby with her former lover , but that wasn’t the case. Instead she was sent away to boarding school in Maine and grew bitter towards her parents. She didn’t even tell them she had the baby, nor did she write them back when they sent letters she just ignored them. She actually liked Maine, getting away from the small town drama and gossip , when suddenly she was pulled back in when she got a letter from the police saying her parents had mysteriously died an she would need to come back to Swynlake. So mary packed up her belongings and Augusta , an made her way back to the small town that had caused her so much pain.
