friendly reminder to my AFAB folks with ADHD:
your medication does not work properly when youāre on your period
because of lazy, misogynistic research practices in the testing of ADHD medications, it has only been discovered recently that hormone imbalances during your menstrual period essentially cancel out the effect of your medication.
(if you want to know about the aforementioned lazy research practices, the scientists doing the testing for adderall and vyvanse only used male mice and AMAB humans to test them on because the hormonal cycles of female/AFAB test subjects āaffected test results, causing data to be inconsistentā.)
so yeah, if you feel horrible and sad and like you canāt get going while youāre on your period, thatās why :)

Not sure who needs to see this, but if a Service Dog starts backing into you, pushing you away from their handler, or they sit down at a leash distance from their handler
You Should Move Away.
They are performing a task known as "spacing" or "blocking" that helps reduce or prevent anxiety in their handler.
They are NOT "asking for pets" or being disobedient or asking to be spoken to. All you have to do is stay back from the dog and handler.
This is not a capslock PSA because I'm not sure how many people that don't have a SD actually know this is a trained task.
I did NOT know and this is both very cool that SDs can be trained for this, and very important that we all know how to respect it.
Rest in Power, Uhura šš¾
I really hope she is at peace now and I'm really sad that the last years of her life weren't peaceful.

I just got the seasonal cold and nearly had a heart attack.
Never before have I been grateful for a runny nose.
