"Do you think we can win this time?" He whispered, edging closer to you.
You turned to the silver haired boy looking at you nervously, and gave him a soft encouraging smile.
"Of course. We practised for almost three months. Why wouldn't we win?"
Park Sunghoon smiled at you gratefully, and you felt your heart nearly flutter out of your chest.
"Thanks Y/N. Really, I'm so glad you are my partner. Or else I swear, I would have quit figure skating years ago."
"Hey," you said, about to reach out for his hand but you stopped just in time. "No need to thank me. That's what friends are for right?"
As though reading your mind, he reached out for your hand and gave it a squeeze. Now you were sure your heart would actually jump out of your chest.
"Right. Friends."
You felt your smile falter a little, but you forced yourself to give him a bigger smile. The last thing you wanted was to let your feelings get into the way of your friendship and ruin the little thing the two of you had.
The word friend was like a slap on your face, but by now you had learnt to swallow the hard lump that always threatened to form in your throat whenever you thought of how unlucky you were to fall in love with Park Sunghoon.
The two of you knew each other since you were little, being neighbours automatically made both of you playmates. You also happened to go to the same school and slowly, Sunghoon became one of your closest friends ever.
Figure skating had always been one of your dream sports so when you finally enrolled yourself into the classes, naturally he too followed you.
Very soon you found yourself in love with this quiet boy, and the only person knowing this was your best friend, Jungwon.
It was also his idea that you ask your coach to put the two of you together as one of the teams of pair skating and miraculously, he agreed.
So now you found yourself with Sungoon, waiting for your chance at the state level competition. The two of you had managed to make it till the finals so you could understand why he was suddenly feeling so nervous.
He edged even more closer to you, until your shoulders were brushing each other's. Giving your hand another squeeze he began speaking again.
"What happens if we lose?"
"We take this opportunity as a lesson learned and we improve more for the next season."
Truth be told, even you were getting nervous now, but you hid it, just for Sunghoon's sake. The last thing you needed was him panicking more.
"And if we win?"
"Then we get to take the trophy, our team gets to go camping and everyone loves us. That's all."
He breathed harshly.
"Yeah you are right. That's all. Definitely nothing to stress about."
Before you could interpret his sentence and figure out whether he was being sarcastic or not you heard the coach call the two of your names.
You both hurried towards him, as you prepped one last time before entering the rink.
The last thing you felt was Sunghoon's hands on your waist, giving you a reassuring squeeze before you heard the soft music start playing.
"You still awake?"
You looked up to see a rather dishevelled and sleepy looking Sunghoon plop down on the empty space beside you.
You felt your heart give a tight squeeze at how cute he looked and had to bite your lips to prevent the smile threatening to appear.
"Couldn't sleep. It's too hot in there." You replied back.
The two of you had won first place, as well as many others in your team, and so the coach had taken you all out on a two day camping trip.
You and Sunghoon got to share a tent, but sleeping in the sleeping bags had made you so hot and uncomfortable that in the middle of the night, you decided to crawl out of it and instead go and sit in the cool open air.
All of a sudden, you felt Sunghoon's head drop to your shoulder, as he nuzzled his face in your neck, hugging you from behind.
You froze, cheeks already heating up and heart rate increasing by ten folds, but years of practice of hiding your feelings had made you a master in acting.
"Hoon if you are sleepy, you can go back to the tent you know."
"I'm not sleepy." He whined, looking up at you with the most dreamy eyes, which seemed to reflect all the stars in the sky above the two of you. "Besides, it's been quite sometime I've been completely alone with you."
You swallowed hard, your brain working too slow to comprehend his question.
"Do you have something to tell me?"
"Do I have to have something to tell you to get to spend some alone time with you?"
"No-"
"Then keep quiet."
Saying that, he pulled you into a hug, enveloping you with his warmth. You didn't realise how cold you were until he began rubbing small circles on your back.
Were you overstepping the boundaries of friendship? Probably.
But did you care? No.
The two of you enjoyed each other's silence for a while until Sunghoon broke it.
"Actually," he began slowly, " I do have something to tell you."
You broke apart from the hug and looked at him worried, giving him a look to go on.
"Someone has been leaving me love letters in my locker."
Immediately you averted your eyes slightly away, and then looked up at him while mentally cursing yourself for nearly giving yourself away.
Because of your lack of courage, your best friend Jungwon had given you the idea to leave small love letters in Sunghoon's locker. You hoped that one day, he would start having feelings for this anonymous person and then put two and two together and realise it's you.
"Oh really?" You asked, acting innocent. "What do they say?"
He shrugged.
"Just…little compliments, encouraging words and poetry. They are really small to be honest."
You frowned. Did he not like them? You had made sure to put in his favourite poets and poems only.
"And uh, I think I've fallen for them."
"What?"
You couldn't believe your ears. Sunghoon liked you? Heart racing, you made a mental note to buy Jungwon a best 'best friend' award.
"I- I have a bunch on who it is and I happen to like them too." He wasn't meeting your eyes now and you could see his cheeks were a shade of red. "So I was wondering if you could tell me what to do."
"Well," you said slowly, trying to hide the excitement in your voice. You were feeling light headed and any second longer with Sunghoon would surely make you do something irrational and stupid like kiss him on the lips. "You could confess to her. The day after tomorrow is Valentine's day so you could confess to them on that day? Maybe even buy a rose and a chocolate box? Chances are there that they are waiting for you to confess since they've been leaving you love letters."
He blinked at you rapidly, before breaking into a smile.
"Thank you Y/N. Thank you so much. I don't know what I would do without you."
You smiled back.
"No need to thank me. Thank me once you've confessed."
"Jungwon! I'm so scared!" You whispered harshly, clutching your best friend's arm tightly.
Jungwon managed to pry himself off your grip before rolling his eyes at you.
"What are you scared of? You aren't the one confessing!"
“I don’t know.” You said lamely. “What if, what if something goes wrong?”
“You overthink too much. Just go! If he refuses you we can always stick to Plan B.” Jungwon said.
You frowned at him.
“Plan B? What was Plan B? There was a Plan B?”
“Plan B was getting married to me-”
“Let‘s just- let’s just stick with Plan A.”
“I knew it. Now go!” Saying that, he gave you a short push towards the theatre. You stopped at the doorway, heart racing, worried about a thousand different things that could go wrong.
Jay had told Sunghoon would be here right? What if he wasn’t? What if he had decided that the two of you should remain as friends only?
Your thoughts were interrupted by two voices you heard on the stage. A smile broke on your face when you recognised the fist voice: it was Sunghoon’s.
You made your way from the door to the stage when you stopped, all of a sudden recognising the second voice too. You had thought that he was talking to a teacher, or maybe a friend, but this female voice definitely couldn’t be his friend.
Heart racing once more, you peeped on to the stage and felt your heart stop.
There on the stage was your crush Sunghoon, handing over a rose and a box of chocolate to a rather shy Jisu, who giggled and took it from his hand.
You couldn’t believe the next thing you heard come out of his mouth.
“Thank you for those letters.” Sunghoon said, blushing furiously. “I saved all of them because I liked them so much.”
Jisu opened her mouth to speak, but you didn’t care what her response was because you had turned away from them and began walking away. The ringing in your ears was too loud to hear anything, and the tears in your eyes too made it difficult to see anything.
But you didn’t care about anything now. Sunghoon might have been a fool to fall for the wrong person but you were the biggest fool to fall for him.

Thank you, the exam wasn't as hard as I expect it to be but there are certainly parts that I didn't manage to study💀 It's everything about research, like we learn how to conduct a research and what to take note off during a research. Just stuffs related to researching in general! I'm currently studying degree in a Corporate Communication, smtg I don't enjoy bcs I need to speak in front of crowds and I absolutely detest it...

You really wished you hadn’t sat for a whole Harry Potter movie marathon for New Year’s night but how could you refuse your boyfriends cute pouty whines? But halfway through the first movie, it was very evident that Bang fucking Chan’s intentions weren’t even to watch the movies. It was just an evil excuse to cuddle you and pepper you with kisses.
Which, you didn’t mind of course but watching movies straight from 6 PM to 12 AM wasn’t really healthy and you had had a tired day already (holidays were tiresome) and wanted to just go to sleep.

I have two fics, one is on Chan another is on Leeknow :> Both will be fluff and a bit of angst(?) I'm not a big fan of angst :) And both will definitely be happy ending! I'm planning to complete the Chan's one first, it's a fwb to lovers theme. But rest assure there won't be smut scenes bcs I don't feel comfortable and am not skilled to write smut scenes as of now hahaha. I will definitely dm you when it's ready! But it will take some time 'cause school holiday still a long way to go ahaha.

yeah fanfics be the loml tbh i read a lot of books but i cant say they improved my english except learn a few fancy words here and there which i cant even use. its only after i started wrting i saw drastic improvement in english. my school marks remained the same (here as long as you are studious enough you'll do good) but my marks in olympaids etc literally jumped up! so even though my mom banned me from writing and i took a two year break...i came back eventually even though its a secret lmao

omg dont worry about that! thats completely normal especially the repetitive part! even for me i keep repeating a whole lot of things especially words and how some specific scenes proceed. ypu really dont need to worry about that thats gonna chnage with time! as for vocab, trust me the more you write the more it will improve! ik how it feels that the things arent going the way you want it to and we feel like it really isnt worth but trsut me, sometimes the most unexpected stories that we do not like happen to be liked the most! also dont go for three fics simultaneously! ik we can easily lose concentration if the fic isnt going the way we want it too but the more it delays the more frustrated we get. so my advice is to first finish one fic no matter what! even if its hastily done its okay we can always improve later!

“Guys I really don’t want to do this!” You wailed, trying hard to get away from your friends’ grips. But they just pulled you closer, giggling at your desperate efforts.
“Please Y/N! What could go wrong? You know that not even one single person has given a bad review for this app, yet? Everyone’s had a great time so it's perfect for Valentine’s day!” Yeji gushed.
You laughed nervously, the horrors of your previous secret dates still fresh on your mind. The Matchmaking App, had launched exactly two years ago and it had become an instant craze after its release. And why wouldn’t it be? It was such a good dating app; all the relationships that it matched lasting for a long time.
Like all your friends, you too had signed up for it. And within a week, it had found you a perfect match.
So perfect that the two of you were heads over heels with each other within a few dates.
"We are here!" Ryujin said, looking around at the fancy restaurant. "And here are the table numbers our dates are sitting at. "
Quickly taking out her phone, she informed everyone their numbers and soon, they all went their own way, leaving you alone to your thoughts.
Slowly, you walked towards table number three, a huge wave of nostalgia washing over you as you remembered the two times you had used this app, both times leading to the same person.

"Lee Minho." You said, staring at the man seated in front of you. The said man, who was looking at the menu, looked up at you, only for him to mirror your expression of horror.

And everything was going so fine. The two of you had decided to keep your relationship a secret, because he was training to be an idol and you too didn't want him to get into any trouble.
A year rolled by and Valentine's Day was once more around the corner. At first, you were excited, wondering what he had planned for you but you soon realised that he might not have time for you at all.
The past few months had been proof of it. He had become so busy with his idol training that he barely had time for anything else, let alone you. Though the two of you loved each other, the dates had become lesser and meetings even more infrequent.

The words came out like a strangled breath but as soon as they left her mouth, she regretted it. Any slim chance of Changmin even looking at her was gone and his withered look nearly burnt holes in her heart, causing her to drop his hand.
“You love me?” He asked coldly, his voice barely a whisper and yet, she heard it loud and clear like a loud bell ringing in her head. She nodded, furiously rubbing away her tears, hoping he would change his mind and stay with her.
Changmin took a step towards her.
“I thought the whole contract was not to fall in love with each other? Just to get back on our exes?”
She gulped, trying to form words to express herself.
“I-I know but- but I fell for you and-”
“Then fall.” He sneered at her, before walking away from her. She felt her knees give away as more tears rushed onto her face, watching him disappear in the dark alley.
“What is someone as pretty as you doing out here all alone in the rain?”
She whipped towards the voice, ready to snap at them for daring to poke their nose into her business when she stopped short.
Her eyes met Ji Changmin’s, and they were equally bloodshot as hers. She blinked at him rapidly, and he gave her a dry chuckle.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
He shrugged, and she could see how his shoulders sagged in defeat. He bit his lips, as though trying not to cry, before indicating at the park bench. She nodded slowly, and they walked towards it.
“I asked you first.” He replied, once they had settled down.
She sighed, not knowing where to start from. She had stopped crying long ago, but now she was completely numb, as though nothing could hurt her more than this. And yet, as she unfolded the events which had taken place that afternoon, she felt a familiar surging pain in her heart, causing her to dig her fingers into her palm. The insides of her palm hurt, nails once moe cutting into the skin that was already raw, until Changmin pulled her hands away,
She looked at him in surprise but he had already removed her hands from his, so she ignored it.
“We broke up.” She whispered, trying very hard to hide the shakiness in her voice. “Sangyeon and I- We- we broke up.”
Changmin nodded, before looking away. She followed his gaze, not wanting him to see the tears that had now begun to sting her eyes once more. The sun was setting in the far horizon, indicating that another beautiful day was over and probably a romantic night was about to begin.
But not for her. And maybe not for Changmin either.
“Me too. Ryujin said she couldn’t feel anymore.” He said quietly.
“Do you- do you still love her?” She asked, wondering how she was supposed to move on. She loved Sangyeon so so much, she had given him her everything and he had just thrown her away for another girl.
He didn’t speak for a while.
“I do.” Changmin said, sounding choked. “I love her so much that- that it hurts. I just can’t believe that after everything the two of us had, she just left me for Eric.”
She bit her lips, an idea slowly forming in her head. Slowly, she edged closer to him until their elbows were grazing each other. “Changmin?”
“Yes?”
“Do you…want to date me? So that we can get back on them?”
Changmin froze, before slowly turning towards her.
“You- you think it will work?”
She nodded slowly, sure that it would work. Jealousy would get them back, wouldn’t it?
“It will be like a contract. Just a professional relationship. We don’t need to do skinship unless we totally have to in front of others.”
He thought for a while.
“No falling in love?” He asked cautiously.
“No falling in love.” She agreed. There wasn’t any way she would fall for Ji Changmin. Besides, she still loved Sangyeon.
“Then,” He asked, leaning into her until their faces were inches apart. “Will you go out with me for Valentine’s Day?”

“Do you think we can win this time?” He whispered, edging closer to you.
You turned to the silver haired boy looking at you nervously, and gave him a soft encouraging smile.
“Of course. We practised for almost three months. Why wouldn’t we win?”
Park Sunghoon smiled at you gratefully, and you felt your heart nearly flutter out of your chest.
“Thanks Y/N. Really, I’m so glad you are my partner. Or else I swear, I would have quit figure skating years ago.”
“Hey,” you said, about to reach out for his hand but you stopped just in time. “No need to thank me. That’s what friends are for right?”
As though reading your mind, he reached out for your hand and gave it a squeeze. Now you were sure your heart would actually jump out of your chest.
“Right. Friends.”
You felt your smile falter a little, but you forced yourself to give him a bigger smile. The last thing you wanted was to let your feelings get into the way of your friendship and ruin the little thing the two of you had.
