It was pretty sudden that day, when Sayori had wanted to speak to Monika alone after they had all finished their poems. Monika seemed so wise, so surely she would be able to help out! “T-the boy I invited, my childhood friend? I... Every day had felt like a dream, lately.

Sayori was so dreadfully insecure about almost every aspect of her life, from her gender identity to her mental state, and what felt like a collapsing relationship with one of her oldest friends. Everything had been collapsing in Sayori’s life day by day, but then, there had been a miracle. She had appeared.

Aiuchi Yuri. A member of Monika’s Literature Club. It was like love at first sight. The moment she had first seen her, her heart raced and beat so furiously she swore there was a pounding in her chest. And she realized; she could not bare the idea of life away from her.

She had almost immediately joined the Literature Club.

“Good morning, Yuri-chan~!” The energetic girl said, her heart pounding just being in Yuri’s presence, using all her willpower to act cool. “Really great weather today, huh?”

I like to imagine that Sayori has an attraction to the romantic interpretations of cities likes Paris and New York. Due to her own unhappy life in a small town in Japan, she has an attraction to big cities like these: and another country would be as removed from home as possible for the sake of a visit!

So if we’re talking vacation-wise? Probably a big foreign city like New York, Paris, Berlin, London would all be places she’d love to go. Just at home, though? Somewhere peaceful, like a botanic garden is something I think she’d enjoy.
