(I might edit this post as I probably forgot to mention something else lmao)
While I’m awake dont mind me passing a little thought idea to you
While bored, I sort of realized how damning it must be to someone like Ilian to learn that someone else is being called, the thief of thieves, aka, Vigil. And I thought it interesting, because imagine being Ilian!! The literal Thief slash Villain puppet, hearing other townsfolk mumbling of a ‘Thief of thieves’ and thinking its you when in fact, it’s not.
It’s another rogue that you don’t even know that’s taken a title that probably should’ve been yours. Just food for thought! DONT TAKE IT TOO SRS I JUST THOUGHT IT SUPER INTERESTING
GAAH YOU'RE READING MY MIND AGAIN!!
I, too, have been thinking about that since I made my guy!
To be brutally honest, that thought was kind of a reason for me to waver on the fact whether I should make a thief-themed character in the first place (that was my first idea for a puppet oc) as I didn't wanna seem unoriginal and like I was copying [my mind is quite mean to me in this sense; I always struggled with making creative characters of my own as I found that I am much better at helping other people develop their own characters from years of doing roleplay and stuff. It's something that I am still insecure about ^^' I always fear that my ideas are uncreative and lacking in originality compared to what I am able to create for other people's ocs]
But your words of encouragement from one of our comment discussions are something that made me realise that I shouldn't be so hard on myself and that I should just let my brain do the thing on its own. That's when the idea of Ilian's character came to me and I sort of rolled with it!
So thank you again for that. I fear that I might have never gotten so far with the making of Ilian's character if not for that convo (and my brother's kind words haha) <3
Emotional foreword aside, let's get back to your thought!
The thing is, Ilian's titles were a bit of a dilemma for me until recently.
The reason I use two titles is because "The Thief" wasn't originally his title. Well, it kind of was, but not in the way people might think.
He never really had one set title. Throughout his life, he played many different antagonistic roles and was called many different things: a Fool, a Bandit, a Lawbreaker, and more. It just so happened that the role of the Thief was the one he played most often.
That's actually why his first "name" was Theo (pronounced like the word "thief").
(And it's also why Jestyn sometimes calls him "Thi-Thi" (fee-fee) whenever Ilian particularly gets on his nerves. It's meant as a jab, and Ilian absolutely hates it.)
The reason the title stuck to him, however, is a different story.
Much like Vigil, it was a title given to him rather than one he chose for himself. The one who bestowed it upon him was King Crownus, after Ilian's failed attempt to steal from him. It wasn't meant as recognition. If anything, it was a degrading insult— something intended to diminish him even further. A cruel label gifted alongside an even crueler punishment.
From that day onward, the title became a permanent mark. It was no longer just the name of a stage role; it became a reminder of how little he mattered to someone like Crownus. A reminder that, as a secondary puppet, he was nothing more than what others chose to see him as.
That's why Ilian hates both his old name and the title itself.
And yet, he still goes by it more often than not.
Part of that is because other puppets continue to use it.
The other part is because, whether he likes it or not, it became inseparable from him.
After Crownus' fall, Ilian began to embrace that role more seriously. His skills as a thief grew sharper. He became more cunning, more deceptive. His ability to create mirages of himself only strengthened the illusion and serve him as a fitting tool.
Besides, it serves as the perfect cover for who he truly is.
So, in a way, he plays along.
If he were to discover that someone else had been given the same title, however, it would stir up complicated feelings.
On one hand, it would only benefit him. Why would anyone pay attention to his schemes if another thief was drawing the attention of both nobles and peasants alike?
At the same time, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from feeling jealous.
The truth is that he loathes that title. It was forced onto him by a king he despised— a title that felt less like a name and more like a scar. A psychological mark to accompany the physical one.
Still... it was his.
And perhaps, over time, he had begun trying to make it his own.
Instead of curling up beneath the weight of it, he took that title and twisted it into something useful. Something that belonged to him rather than to Crownus. Something he could wield against the people who contributed to his misery. A symbol of survival. A stepping stone toward the title he truly wished to wear.
So learning that even that small thing had been taken from him—especially by someone bearing an even grander title like "The Thief of Thieves"— would strike directly at an old wound that never properly healed.
After all, Ilian had very little.
And what little he did have, he had fought to claim as his own.
I also think it would be interesting if Ilian eventually realized that Vigil never really had a specific role assigned to him either. That could be something fascinating to explore one day me thinks :3c
Thank you for your ask!!
This actually helped me think of more stuff about Ilian's persona and character ^^
[^ me when I see beyOndth3stars user name in my askbox]
"Oh, you fill my lungs with sweetness, and you fill my head with you."
================================
Some doodles I made in the past 2 days inbetween working on uni stuff as I couldn't get the ideas out of my head since the last reblog of -C on my writings about these two
The tenderness... the quiet yearning...
The kindness with which they'd regard each other ooh they make me sick with love for them ToT
Also attempted drawing Eva with her hair down without ever designing it so it might look off.
Will try doodling her more in the future to get the hang of it.
Overall forgive me if any of the poses or proportions or anatomy seems off. It's because I kinda rawdogged all of these without proper sketches. Like, the first pose: I didn't even have a proper reference for it. Just kinda mixed my knowledge of anatomy to make a pose since I couldn't find any on Pinterest that fit the vibe I was going for.
And the hands- honestly tried making them accurate in size so forgive me if it looks like y/n and ceo boss ahh hand size difference cuz they kinda be like that for them djsndnend
bonus based on that one bit from -C's reblog:
[his mask would probably be lower to only reveal his mouth but you get the point]
Eva belongs to neptuii/me
Luci/Devil belongs to @an0nymous-c [your recent ask kinda inspired the hand doodles.. couldn't stop thinking about their handss]
GIGGLES incredibly random, just wanted to share this since it was gonna stay a sketch anyway, ill be redoing this so I’d say im in the clear to share!!! Reason? No reason, I just kept thinking how big Luci’s hand might be considering the height difference and wanted to doodle🥀
No joke I was taking it so srs, I used HEIGHT COMPARISONS, BED COMPARISONS AND HAND COMPARISONS. I CONSTANTLY CHECKED AND LOOKED AT ARTS YOU AND I MADE TO MAKE IT ACCURATE and somehow Im still adjusting the way the new one looks,,, </3
Have a good day
REMINDER I LOWK ABANDONED THIS SKETCH SINCE IT DIDNT SIT RIGHT WITH ME SO ITS RENEWAL WILL COME
DUDE YOU'RE KILLING ME-
No kidding I've just sat down to like draw some stuff and maybe sketch these two while I'm at it and suddenly you send me this idjejdkdkd
But yeah, I noticed that Luci is not only taller than Eva but bigger in overall proportions. I've lowkey started realising it when I started drawing them side by side in my notebook, like in the drawing with him behind her with his hand on her shoulder: the claws aren't helping a bit ToT
And honestly? I love that since I love size/height difference tropes a lot <3 not only for romantic/spicy context purposes but overall, especially if the size difference reflects their status/species/personalities and stereotypes that are attached to them
And it's especially interesting when we specifically focus on these two and how that can reflect in their relationship and all
Aa don't wanna yap about it here just yet but boy theres so much to sayy
Thank you for the sketch, I cant stop staring at it and also wdym you're re-doing it oh my gosh I'm bouncing off the walls
Have this doodle w/ Ilian I made on the phone based on your comment with the lolipop since it cracked me up lol
Since I've made him and people seemed to genuinely like him as a character I've been kinda tempted to make his own relationship chart and so here we are!
Honestly I've been debating on his sexuality and stuff since I've created my boy, and I lowkey wanted to make him AroAce as I didn't feel like he would easily feel any type of attraction, but after some deeper analysis of his psyche and character as a whole I decided to find some kind of compromise that would fit him the best.
I eventually settled on demi-pansexual and demiromantic.
To be honest, it simply fits the kind of person Ilian is.
Beneath all the sarcasm, cynicism, and bitterness lies someone who has spent most of his life feeling unseen. Relationships were never something he truly experienced.
He was surrounded by others, certainly, but genuine affection was another matter entirely. Most of the attention he received came in the form of mockery, amusement, pity, or simple indifference. He was useful when a story needed a thief, a fool, or a villain, but rarely someone worth caring about beyond the role he played. Over time, that shaped the way he views both others and himself.
Ilian is not the sort of person who falls for someone at first sight, nor is he easily charmed by a pretty face or clever words. In fact, he tends to greet affection with suspicion.
Compliments are questioned.
Kindness is examined for hidden motives.
Promises are met with skepticism rather than hope.
To reach him, someone would need patience.
...A great deal of patience.
Trust is not something Ilian gives freely. It must be earned slowly, through consistency, honesty, and a willingness to see the person beneath the title of "Thief" or "Villain." Only after forming a genuine emotional connection would he begin to experience romantic or physical attraction. Even then, admitting those feelings would be an entirely different battle.
Of course, earning his trust is only the beginning.
Ilian is not harmless. Beneath his sharp tongue and mocking grin lies a cunning, calculating individual who has spent years nurturing old grudges and dreams of revenge. He is capable of manipulation when it serves his goals, and he is not above taking advantage of someone's trust if he believes it will help him achieve what he wants.
Getting close to him therefore carries its own risks. The closer someone gets, the more likely they are to become entangled in his schemes, his rivalries, and the consequences of ambitions that have long outgrown simple pickpocketing. Whether intentionally or not, those who earn his trust may eventually find themselves standing beside him when the time comes to settle old scores. And perhaps that is the greatest danger of all.
Because once Ilian finally allows someone into his life, walking away may prove far more difficult than getting close to him in the first place.
After all, befriending The Villain was never going to be easy.

@an0nymous-c here you go, have my boy 😌
The template is free to use for anyone who is interested, I am curious to see how people will interpret him in the context of relationship dynamics :D
My only rules about shipping my characters is that you are respectful towards me and the characters themselves and that you try to not mischaracterize them!
If you want to make potential pairings I would love to see your honest analysis of the possible dynamics between your characters and mine, whether romantic or platonic ^^
[Of course, here I am refering to Ilian only as I am still debating if I wanna put Eva on the shipping/relationship market since she's quite a personal character of mine... ^^']
He's still quite a fresh character so if anyone's got questions my askbox is open :]
OKAY I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS OVER DINNER because i had the most delicious idea, if he ever did Their majesty, MC — would his eyes find to their crown? And would he try to steal it? Because hear me out
I wanna know his reaction if MC willingly gives the crown to him.
Hi luv! :]
I have a moment to write this down so gonna answer your question now ^^
Since I made it my kind of headcanon that Jestyn's crown is actually the crown that was once worn by Crownus and that Jestyn took it after his death, I imagine that the one that MC was given is just a prop and therefore it wouldn't hold much value to Ilian.
Still, I do think he could be petty enough to try and steal it from MC, just to spite both them and Jestyn. That would be his kind of way of showing how little he thinks of the new Majesty and at the same time Jestyn's so-called "authority."
If the MC were to willingly offer the crown to him, however...
That might actually catch him off guard.
Only for a moment.
The surprise would vanish behind a crooked grin as he would look down at them with open amusement.
"What is this?" he would drawl. "Has Their Majesty grown tired of ruling already?"
His gaze would drift to the crown in their hands. "Or are you attempting to buy favour with scraps and trinkets?" A low chuckle.
"The crown is worthless. Much like the title Jestyn handed to you."
He might take it then— not out of acceptance, but curiosity.
Long shadowed claws and puppet fingers would turn the crown over in his left hand, inspecting it as one might inspect a cheap stage prop. His thumb would catch on a tuft of white plush along its edge. With deliberate care, he would pluck it free.
For a moment, he would simply watch the soft tuft between his claws.
Then he would let it go.
The white fluff would drift lazily through the stale theater air before settling somewhere among the dust. A fitting display of what he thought of the crown's importance. Only then would he step forward and place it back atop the MC's head.
Carelessly. Crooked. Without bothering to straighten it.
"Wear your ridiculous crown, human."
His grin would sharpen.
"If I truly wanted it, I would have stolen it long ago."
And before they could respond, a single claw would slip beneath their chin, tilting their head upward. Not enough to hurt. Just enough to remind them that the gesture was entirely his choice.
"Besides..." he would murmur, eyes gleaming with quiet mockery. "Someone ought to look the part of Majesty."
. . .
hehe sorry I let myself indulge a little here with some fancy writing
I'm still working on this guy so this was tougher to answer in character than I initially thought, especially with the dialogue
I'm sorry but after our last exchange of thoughts on the conflict between these three I just couldn't get this meme idea out of my head 😭
(Also congrats on the Twitter follower count! 🎉)
Nuii I had to like speed run doodle this because this was too fucking funny to pass up WAHAWHAWH I JUST KNOW JESTYNS TUGGING AT HIS HAT GOING CRAZY LOSING HIS SANITY WHEN EVA GOES TO LUCIS CARAVAN LHLH

also thank you as well dovey <333 I WONT LIE ITS BEEN PRETTY,, overwhelming,,, but exciting nonetheless WHWAHAWH
Hello, How are you? A question/s for our dear Villain puppet
- what is his first impression when MC came to the theater? What is his reaction when he heard that they are the new ruler?
- how tall is he and when is his birthday?
- does he still hate Jestyn for what he did to him back in Crownus' rule?
Don't forget to rest up and stay healthy
Hello! Finally answering this one ^^
Okaayyy... lowkey excited to answer the first part of the question as I feel like I might leave some people heartbroken when I say this:
1.
His attitude towards MC would not be great. I lowkey created Ilian with the intention of making him a bitter, resentful character towards most characters in the kingdom. I often call him a lil hater haha [every time I think of his hateful nature I think of that one meme: "pov: you're just a lil hater." "and?" but its just Jestyn and him]
His life as a puppet when the theatre was still alive was far from pleasant. Most of the time, he felt like his existence only mattered when it benefited someone else. His role was often to make others look better, whether by playing the the foolish thief or the unlucky villain. Rarely was he allowed to stand on his own.
Praise was scarce, and when it did come, it was usually mixed with pity, amusement, or mockery. Other puppets would laugh at his expense, and humans were no different.
The audience reacted to his performances, but never in the way he wanted. They gasped at dramatic entrances, laughed at his failures, and remembered the character he portrayed rather than the puppet behind it. He watched other performers receive admiration and applause while he was reduced to little more than "the thief" or "the antagonist."
Over time, his desire for recognition turned into bitterness. That bitterness eventually grew into resentment toward humans as a whole. In his eyes, they were shallow creatures who decided who was worthy of praise and who existed merely for their entertainment.
Because of this, he was immediately opposed to Jestyn's decision to appoint a new ruler. He does not view Jestyn's authority as legitimate in the first place, so any major decision made by him is already met with skepticism and disapproval.
Learning that the new ruler is a human only makes matters worse.
To him, it feels almost insulting. Out of all possible candidates, Jestyn chose a human— one of the very creatures he has spent years resenting. At times, he genuinely wonders if the decision was made specifically to irritate him.
As a result, his attitude toward the MC is somewhat openly negative. He masks his resentment behind sarcasm, cynicism, and humor, often making subtle jabs at their expense. While other puppets may accept the MC's position, he refuses to acknowledge them as his ruler.
As far as he is concerned, they have no real authority.
If he addresses the MC directly, his words will often carry an edge of mockery. He sees them as naive for trusting Jestyn so easily and views their title as little more than an empty label.
That said, his hostility is not entirely blind. As much as he dislikes the situation, he is aware that an inexperienced human ruler could be useful. If the opportunity presents itself, he may try to manipulate events to his own advantage...
After all, a ruler who doesn't understand the kingdom is often easier to influence than one who does.
2.
His height can be found on the reference, but I'll write it here anyway: 189cm so about 6'2ft as I remember. Like I said, in puppet standards that might seem quite short.
His birthday... Uh, I made the guy like 2 days ago, so... let's say it's 3rd of June for now haha
3.
That can be answered by reading my other ask about his attitude on the main cast: link
Thanks! I'm actually going on a small break this weekend so I might not be so active ^^'
Why do u manage to post these while im eating dinner I AM GRINNING LIKE AN IDIOT AT THE INTIMACY PART OF THE REBLOG UGH IM SO SICK OF THESE IDIOTS GER A ROOMMMMMM
Time zone difference luv, bon appettit ✨
I knooowww... Good his caravan doesn't have windows and is dimly lit probably
And even if he has windows he probably has so much draped over them so no one can peak so he has a lot of privacy. His own man cave kflekfpldkfgkgh
First of all, again, I feel like they have the highest chance to build some sort of stable, healthy relationship. Or at least, as stable as it can get knowing their circumstances. Not only because I have a soft spot for that masked puppet but because how well they seem to fit with each other in various dynamic/relationship aspects.
Besides Duchess, he feels like the safest, most healthy and compatible option. They'd get along pretty well!
I dissected the analysis based on some categories I made up. They might look different in other future parts depending if I feel like they are relevant to the particular pairing.
Enjoy the long read lmao [when I gave this for my brother to beta-read for me he took about 20 minutes ToT]

CHAPTER 1: PREFERENCES
When it comes to preferences, I'll mostly speak about Eva here since I don't wanna assume anything with Devil/Luci that might turn out to be biased or ooc. If anything, I'll base off purely what I got from Anon-C posts about him plus my own interpretations.
I am not exaggerating when I say this: in a romantic context, he would likely fit her type quite well.
And I am not referring solely to physical appearance, especially considering that his actual features are largely obscured beneath layers of jewelry, fabric, shawls, and the devil mask he wears. That said, the mystery surrounding his appearance does not diminish his attractiveness; if anything, it adds to his allure.
She would almost certainly appreciate his sense of style. As I mentioned before, Eva would be deeply drawn to the way he lives— his extravagant, maximalist approach to life— and that philosophy is clearly reflected in how he presents himself.
The gold jewelry adorning his outfit, the vibrant and delicate fabrics draped across his imposing frame, and the sheer amount of detail woven into his appearance would all stand out to someone like Eva. His aesthetic is expressive, lavish, and unapologetically unique, qualities she would likely find captivating.
At the same time, Eva's attraction to others, I would say, depends primarily on emotional connection. While she is bisexual, I would also describe her as demisexual, meaning physical appearance alone is unlikely to determine her interest in someone. However, that does not mean physical traits play no role whatsoever. Certain features can certainly enhance attraction once a connection has been established. For example, I would say she has a preference for taller individuals— and in that regard, he more than qualifies as he's so god damn tall, oh my god ToT
Of course, a major part of her attraction depends on the other person's personality, attitude, sense of humour, and overall presence. I'll go into those aspects in more detail later, but Devil certainly has what it takes to catch her attention!
There's something about the way he carries himself. He possesses an air of mystery, though not in the unsettling way Jestyn does. Instead, it's an alluring kind of mystery; one that invites gentle curiosity and encourages her to draw a little closer despite her usual reservations. He isn't pushy, which works strongly in his favour, as Eva dislikes people who pry into her personal life or try too hard to figure her out.
His warm, easygoing nature would likely charm her with surprising ease. There's a certain magic to him that would bring out not only her softer, warmer side, but also a version of herself that feels more energetic, genuine, and less guarded. As I mentioned before, he'd make her laugh and smile more often than she has in quite some time.
Now, as I've said before, I don't want to misrepresent Luci/Devil in any way, so I'll keep this section brief and focus mostly on his emotional preferences.
From what I've gathered from the Anon-C's recent posts, he seems to appreciate people who genuinely enjoy his company and take an interest in who he is. Someone curious about him. Someone who compliments him— not merely for his appearance, but for his person as a whole.
I remember that Anon-C also mentioned that The Devil was never intended to be a boastful type of character, and I agree with that interpretation. However, considering the role he embodies— the devil, the serpentine — I can imagine him being deeply energized by sincere admiration. Not because he craves praise for the sake of his ego, but because being seen and appreciated would make him feel alive. He seems like the sort of person who would shine with his greatest warmth and enthusiasm when someone views him as something magical, fascinating, or worthy of wonder.
As Anon-C said in their lovely post, he would likely be delighted by Eva's genuine curiosity toward him and the role he plays. In turn, that curiosity could awaken a bittersweet happiness within him— a quiet melancholy mixed with joy. It would breathe life into a soul worn thin by boredom and longing, giving him a renewed sense of purpose; a sense of purpose that seemed to have faded long ago after the theatre had closed. In many ways, her interest in him would remind him why he once cherished his role so deeply in the first place.
────────────────── ⋆⋅🕊⋅⋆ ───────────────────
CHAPTER 2: PERSONALITIES
Okay, phew, let's see how this one will go.
First, although their personalities would seem at first to be waay different, almost contrasting, it would quickly become clear that this contrast is only on the surface level and that their personalities seem to somehow complete each other in some subtle ways.
Eva's personality is… complicated in a way? I think I made it quite clear in my both KoM main cast and Anon-C x Eva writings that she is quite reserved.. I jokingly call her my enigma sometimes.
If I were to describe Eva's personality in few words, it'd be poised, a bit guarded, melancholic, witty, kind, empathetic.
But single-picked words are simple, and cannot truly describe what's underneath those teal eyes of hers.
Although Eva would seem to be determined to keep her emotions locked away behind a poised, distant, and almost untouchable facade, there is far more to her than what she allows others to see.
Not all of it is intentional. Life can be cruel, and for some people, that cruelty leaves lasting marks. It changes them in ways that would have once seemed unimaginable, dimming the light within them until it becomes little more than a faint flicker.
Yet that light is still there.
If she finds the right person— someone who makes her feel safe enough to lower her guard, someone capable of drawing those hidden colours back to the surface— she can be surprisingly joyful, witty, and (almost) full of life.
The walls around her may never disappear entirely, but even then she has a way of revealing herself in smaller, quieter ways: through a sharp remark delivered with perfect timing, a gentle word spoken when it's needed most, an observant gaze lingering a little longer than expected, or a smile that can seem either teasingly mischievous or unexpectedly soft.
I believe the more time she'd spent with Luci, the more those sides of her would begin to emerge. There is something about his dramatic, mysterious, and theatrical nature that would capture her attention almost effortlessly. At the same time, his warmth and easygoing friendliness would make him approachable in a way few people ever manage to be for her. Like a moth drawn to a flame, she would find herself gravitating toward him, driven by a curiosity she rarely allows herself to indulge in.
Perhaps most importantly, he would awaken something in her that has remained dormant for far too long: an almost childlike sense of wonder. Around him, she would feel more inclined to ask questions, explore, laugh, and simply allow herself to be outwordly curious again. In that sense, Luci would not merely attract her— he would gently remind her of parts of herself she had nearly forgotten existed.
And from what I've read in the Anon-C's responses regarding how he would perceive Eva, I imagine it would be much the same for Luci.
I don't think her reserved nature would bother him in the slightest, especially since she isn't truly shy.
Cautious, perhaps. Guarded, certainly.
But beneath that composed exterior lies a quiet spark that I believe he would notice rather quickly.
As I've mentioned before, Eva possesses a wit and charm that tend to reveal themselves subtly rather than all at once. Her humour is often dry, her reactions measured, yet there is a playful fire hidden beneath the surface. While she may not match Luci's energy in the same dramatic fashion, I think she would be more than capable of meeting him halfway, responding to his teasing with clever remarks and observations of her own.
In turn, that would likely only deepen his curiosity toward the new Majesty.
In some ways, I think he would find himself enjoying the process of discovering her. Much like Jestyn, he seems like someone who thrives on uncovering genuine reactions and unexpected facets of a person's character. The difference is that where others might pry, Luci would likely approach it with warmth, fascination, and playful persistence. Each authentic smile, amused retort, or unguarded moment would feel like a small victory— not because he had forced it from her, but because she had chosen to share it.
I can easily imagine him being especially fond of the rare moments when his stories, antics, or theatrical displays cause that familiar spark of light to appear in her usually dimmed teal eyes. The sight of her looking at him with genuine awe, fascination, or quiet fondness would likely be deeply rewarding to him, particularly knowing how rarely she allows such emotions to show so openly.
Likewise, Eva's ability to listen would probably be something he values greatly. She would happily sit through his tales, stories, and ramblings, giving him her full attention while occasionally offering a witty retort, an observation, or a thoughtful question of her own.
More importantly, her curiosity would come without judgment. Rather than simply hearing him speak, she would genuinely want to understand him, and I think that quality, more than anything else, would keep drawing him back to her.
────────────────── ⋆⋅🕊⋅⋆ ───────────────────
CHAPTER 3: BOUNDRIES
When it comes to romance, one of the most important things to understand about Eva is that her boundaries are not suggestions.
They are something she takes very seriously, and crossing them can easily create distance between her and another person. Rather than confronting someone directly, she is more likely to quietly withdraw in an act of self-preservation, putting walls back up where she had only just begun to lower them.
Perhaps because of that (and for other reasons I won't get into just yet) she has very little relationship experience. What experience she does have consists mostly of brief, shallow situationships rather than deep, lasting connections.
I know I often write her as guarded, cagey, and sometimes even cold, but the truth is that she craves meaningful relationships just as much as anyone else. The difference is that there are things within her that make allowing people closer than arm's length feel far more difficult than she would like to admit.
This is one of the reasons I believe Luci would suit her so well.
As also confirmed by Anon-C, he does not strike me as the type to push when he notices someone's discomfort.
If Eva showed hesitation toward certain forms of physical affection— particularly around her nape/neck— I imagine he would respect that without question.
Likewise, he would not pry into her past or pressure her into sharing things she is not ready to discuss. He lacks the possessiveness and obsession that would make her feel trapped, instead giving her the space to breathe and exist comfortably in his presence.
Ironically, that freedom is exactly what would make her want to move closer on her own.
Trust has always been something Eva offers slowly, but she is far more willing to give it to people who do not demand it from her. The patience and respect Luci would show toward her boundaries would make him feel safe, and that sense of safety would gradually encourage her to open up in ways she rarely does with others.
The same courtesy would extend in the opposite direction.
As I've mentioned before, Eva would never try to force Luci into revealing parts of himself he wishes to keep hidden. She understands what it feels like to carry private burdens or secrets and to want certain things to remain your own. Because of that, she would be naturally inclined to respect his boundaries just as he respects hers.
I shared some Luci doodles a while ago and under one doodle that portrayed Luci standing with his back to us without his coat and the scarf Anon-C mentioned the idea of the MC accidentally catching Luci midway through dressing in his caravan, after he had removed parts of the disguise that conceal some of his features.
If a similar situation happened with Eva, I imagine her immediate reaction would be to leave and wait outside, apologising for entering without warning. From that point onward, she would either announce herself before entering or wait for him to invite her inside.
The important part is that Luci would not need to explain why.
Eva would recognize almost immediately that the concealment of his features is something deeply personal to him. She would understand that some vulnerabilities do not need to be spoken aloud in order to be respected. In many ways, I think that mutual understanding of boundaries would become one of the strongest foundations of their relationship.
[Honestly guys, I love when characters let each other be mysterious and not cross such boundries like privacy, rather welcome them with gentle curiosity, letting each other take time to understand one another]

CHAPTER 4: PRIORITIES
Hm… priorities.. let's see.
Eva's priorties in relationship but also in life could be summed up to: having freedom of her own, not being bound by the relationship but rather want it to complete her.
Luci's priorities (in my opinion) would also be freedom in some sense haha so they kind of match with that here. I don't really see these priorities somehow clashing with each other then.
[edit: Sorry for the lack of writing in this section, I didn't know what else to say ^^']

CHAPTER 5: PHYSICAL INTIMACY/CLOSENESS
Okay, first and foremost:
Everything from the whole post is just my interpretation, and this disclamer specifically includes this bit. I do not want to sexualize Luci here, I just want to explore the topics of physical intimacy as in the context of vulnerability and trust and not really sexual one.
Having said that, forgive me for any ooc (out of canon) that might slip in!
Also here wanna mention what's up with Eva's dubious meter of "horniness level" in her part of the ship sheet.
Making her first version of the sheet, the one combined with Jestyn in pairing, I didn't think much of accuracy as I rarely make visual sheets like that; frankly, I'm way better with words than diagrams and visual measurements like that.
Eva's sexual desire is a tricky thing. It really depends on who she is with, if there is a bond strong enough for trust to be there, and if that person themselves are sexually active. So the meter is kind of like: lowest vs highest sexual desire she'd have in a relationship dynamic.
Fun fact: despite having had a few situationships in the past, Eva never really got far in any of them. And honestly, the word situationship already says quite a lot about how those connections tended to go for her.
Some were one-sided, some ended before they could develop into anything deeper, and very few ever reached a point where she felt comfortable letting someone truly close.
It could probably be considered one of her red flags, maybe.
Not because she was leading people on, but because she often found herself in the painful position of realizing she couldn't return someone's feelings the way they deserved. After repeating that cycle a few times, she eventually gave up on dating altogether. Being the heartbreaker hurt far more than people might expect. No matter how much she tried, something always seemed to be missing— or the relationship would start drifting into territory that made her pull away. Especially after [that] happened, she became a sort of hermit in a sense.
At the end of the day, Eva is demisexual. Without a genuine emotional bond, that part of her simply doesn't awaken. Physical intimacy isn't something she seeks out casually, nor is it something she can force.
Trust comes first. Connection comes first. The stronger the bond, the greater the chance of seeing that side of her emerge.
And when it does, you could discover that Eva is actually an incredibly affectionate person.
Not necessarily only in a sexual sense, either. Just… intimate.
Gentle touches. Soft caresses. Playing with someone's hair. Tracing circles across the back of their hand. Holding hands for no particular reason other than wanting to feel the other person there. She loves small acts of closeness, especially when they feel natural rather than deliberate.
Funny enough, she tends to be far more comfortable when she's the one initiating the contact.
If she's taking care of someone, comforting them, or simply expressing affection on her own terms, physical touch comes surprisingly easily to her. There is something almost instinctive about it. Her gestures become patient, careful, and quietly tender.
In those moments, Eva can seem almost motherly.
Which makes for a rather amusing contrast. Anon-C has mentioned before that the others would tend to treat her with exceptional care because she's human— small, fragile, and easy to break in their eyes. Yet they might be genuinely surprised to discover that Eva would treat them much the same way. Not because she'd see them as fragile. But because when she cares about someone, her first instinct is gentleness. Even if that someone happens to be a giant like Luci.
Now, bringing it back to Luci and Eva, I think a lot of their dynamic would depend on how close he would actually allow her to get.
Funny enough, when it comes to physical affection, they seem surprisingly similar.
Both appear far more comfortable being the ones to initiate contact than receiving it. Eva's tenderness usually comes naturally when she's the one reaching out, while Luci, from what we know, can be quite touchy himself. Yet there is a significant difference between casually touching someone and allowing yourself to be touched in return.
That is where things become interesting.
Because while I can easily imagine Luci taking her hand or pulling her closer without much thought, I wonder how he would feel about Eva being gentle with him. Not just holding hands, but touching the parts of him he keeps hidden beneath layers of fabric, the mask, and carefully maintained distance.
Would he let her?
Eva certainly wouldn't push if he wasn't comfortable. She has never been the type to demand vulnerability from others. But if enough trust existed between them, would he ever allow someone to see what lies underneath? Would he let another person become familiar with the things he spends so much effort concealing?
For someone like the Devil, I think there is something profoundly vulnerable about that.
After all, removing a mask is one thing. Allowing someone to look beneath it is another. Allowing someone to know what is there, to memorize it, to become familiar with it— that requires a level of trust that cannot be demanded or rushed.
Maybe that's why I can't stop imagining a scene where he finds a compromise.
Instead of revealing himself completely, he blindfolds Eva with one of his scarves, making sure she cannot see beneath the mask.
Then, quietly, he guides her hand. Across the line of his jaw. The curve of his cheek. The shape of his ears, the length of his neck, the texture of his hair.
Not because he is ready to be seen. But because, perhaps for the first time, he is ready to be known. And somehow, that feels even more intimate.
It isn't sight that makes the moment vulnerable. It's trust. The unspoken understanding that he is placing himself in her hands and believing she will handle him with the same gentleness she offers everyone she cares about.
If anything, that feels perfectly suited to them. Neither of them is particularly afraid of giving affection. The difficult part has always been allowing themselves to receive it.
Additionally:
despite how composed Eva often appears, she is actually surprisingly easy to fluster when it comes to physical affection.
Whether she enjoys being touched or not depends almost entirely on who is doing the touching.
Trust has always been the deciding factor for her. A casual touch from the wrong person might make her uncomfortable, while the exact same gesture from someone she deeply cares about could leave her completely speechless.
Luci would probably discover this sooner or later.
At first glance, she might seem unaffected. Calm. Collected. Perfectly in control of herself.
In reality, he would start noticing the little things.
The way her breath catches for a split second when his hand finds its way to her neck.
The subtle tension that runs through her shoulders when an arm settles around her waist or his tail curls around her in an absentminded gesture of affection.
The faint shiver that follows whenever cold fingers, jewelry, or clawed fingertips brush against bare skin. The goosebumps that appear along her arms despite her best efforts to ignore them.
Eva would do her absolute best to act as though none of it affected her. She would continue the conversation, maintain her composure, and pretend she wasn't suddenly aware of every point of contact between them. Unfortunately for her, the color slowly blooming across her cheeks would tell an entirely different story.
The funny thing is that these reactions probably wouldn't disappear with time. She would grow accustomed to his touch, certainly. The initial surprise would fade, and she would no longer startle quite so easily whenever he reached for her. But the feeling itself? That would remain. If anything, it would deepen.
The more trust that exists between them, the more those touches would become something she actively looked forward to rather than merely reacted to.
What once made her flustered would become comforting. Familiar. Something she would quietly seek out without even realizing it. Though knowing Eva, she would still insist she was perfectly fine while blushing just as noticeably as before.
────────────────── ⋆⋅🕊⋅⋆ ───────────────────
CHAPTER 6: LOVE LANGUAGES AND VULNERABILITY
If Luci ever spoke openly about his longing to see the world beyond the theatre, I think something inside her would soften for him almost immediately.
Not pity. Understanding.
Because she knows what it feels like to ache for something larger than the walls surrounding you. To crave movement, change, life— while being trapped in a place where time itself feels stagnant and decayed.
And so, without even fully realizing when it started, she would begin bringing him little pieces of the outside world whenever she returned.
Small things at first.
A book she thought he might enjoy. Fragments of her cooking recipes copied onto paper. Strange trinkets from market stalls and flea markets she loves to visit from time to time, fabrics or pieces of clothing in colors she thought suit him, jewelery she no longer wore, dried flowers carefully wrapped or pressed between some books to survive the journey to the theatre.
Sometimes even living plants, because she knows he treasures them more than he lets on.
I wanted to draw that someday, but I imagined that one day she'd bring him a small pot of red roses as she hates cut flowers; it pains her to watch pretty little things fade away.
She'd also bring him some of the photos she took with her trusted camera as she loves taking pictures. Mostly of nature or the small things she notices in life. It gives her a feeling of security.
All these tiny offerings of a world he cannot reach himself.
The theatre is not a place where new things arrive often. Without Jestyn— and now Eva — I imagine there would be very little circulation at all; very few opportunities for the puppets to experience anything unfamiliar or truly alive. Eventually, even a puppet like Luci, who thrives on collecting oddities and trading treasures, would run out of novelty to barter for.
That is why I think he would value her gifts so deeply. Not because of their worth, but because of what they represent.
Proof that somewhere beyond the dust and velvet curtains, life continues moving forward.
And for Eva, affection has always revealed itself most naturally through acts of service rather than words. Through quiet gestures. Through remembering small details and turning them into something tangible for the people she cares about.
I still find it amusing and cute that he'd literally do the same thing for her. Two gift-givers colliding with each other here. Like I've mentioned before, she would cherish every small thing that he'd gift her. And she'd definitely keep them either in her household or, if small enough, on her. She'd smile fondly every time her eyes would catch the sight of a book or a trinket of his that became her possession.
Now, if Luci ever spoke about wanting to walk beneath a real sky someday— to live among the living instead of remaining confined within the walls of a dying theatre— Eva would listen with an ache in her chest so deep it would almost frighten her.
She wouldn't try to change his mind. If anything, she would want to understand.
Why leave all of this behind? Why risk everything for a dream that might never come true?
And yet, in some quiet, uncomfortable way, she already knows the answer.
As someone who has spent years running from things herself, Eva would recognize the look in his eyes immediately. That melancholy longing. That yearning for freedom. The desire to truly live rather than merely survive. To set down burdens that have been carried for far too long.
She knows that expression because she has seen it before. In mirrors.
And if there was any way she could help him reach that dream, she would try.
Perhaps that is why they fit together so naturally.
Two people hiding themselves in different ways.
Two people quietly longing for a world beyond the one they were given.
A chance to feel lighter again.
Normal again. Alive again.
And perhaps, depending on how deeply their bond grows, Eva could become the salvation of Luci's long-awaited escape—
—or the very thing that prevents it from ever happening.

CHAPTER 7: ISSUES AND CIRCUMSTANCES
. . .
Yeah, so… I gotta confess something.
As much as I love writing about fluff and romantic moments, I am also a very angsty writer :D
So let's explore the realistic side of things and issues that might show up for these two.
First and foremost: Jestyn.
I think this might actually be the biggest obstacle standing in the way of any of these relationships.
That said, I'm not really here to discuss a potential love triangle. Honestly, I'm not even sure one could work.
Luci and Jestyn share enough history that they might tolerate each other's presence, but I'm not convinced it wouldn't strain their bond even further.
And, let's be real, Jestyn's more possessive tendencies would likely become a problem for both Eva and Luci sooner or later.
What interests me more is how Eva and Luci growing closer could unintentionally threaten Luci's dream of one day slipping away from the theatre unnoticed.
Simply because Eva would draw attention to him.
Without spoiling too much about how they might meet, Eva is not the type to openly announce where she's going or who she's spending time with.
She values her independence far too much and would much rather keep her wandering, snooping, and various errands to herself.
Not out of malice, but because she dislikes feeling monitored.
The problem is that Jestyn hardly seems like the kind of person who wouldn't notice. He has eyes and ears everywhere.
That's why, when the author mentioned that The Vigilante— someone who appears to know the theatre better than almost anyone, like an assassin or a spy— has some sort of alliance with Jestyn, my immediate reaction was:
Oh.
Oh no.
Because eventually, questions would start being asked.
Where is his Majesty disappearing to?
Who is she spending time with?
Why?
For what purpose?
And, most importantly, why is she choosing someone else's company over his?
We know Jestyn wouldn't simply lash out at another puppet.
But we also know that the more ignored he feels, the more desperately he tries to reclaim his Majesty's attention.
He becomes clingier. More insistent. More present.
For some people, that might be flattering.
For Eva, it would feel like a cage.
Not protection. Restriction.
At the same time, Eva's growing closeness with Luci would inevitably make Jestyn curious. Why was his Majesty suddenly spending so much time with an old, good friend of his?
After all, Luci and Jestyn had kind of drifted apart long ago, following Crownus' accident.
Painful as that distance may have been, it also worked in Luci's favor.
The less people thought about him, the easier it became to disappear. His greatest advantage was being overlooked.
To fade into the background. To one day leave the Theatre under the camouflage of being forgotten.
And then Eva arrives and unknowingly threatens that plan simply by caring.
Whether she could actually help Luci escape is another question entirely. Her job ties her to the theatre, and the rules surrounding it don't leave much room for wandering off its premises whenever she pleases. Maybe, somehow, she could help him take the first steps toward freedom. Maybe she could even become the reason he finally believes escape is truly possible.
The problem is time.
Because I'm not convinced they would have enough of it before Jestyn started putting the pieces together. And once he did, everything would change.
We know Jestyn does not allow puppets to leave the theatre.
That isn't a suggestion or a preference; it's a rule.
One he takes very seriously.
Which means that if he were to discover Luci's intentions, or realize that Eva was somehow involved, it would be difficult to imagine the situation ending well.
Another issue is that Eva's arrival might become the very thing that prevents Luci from fulfilling the promise he made to himself.
As Anon-C pointed out in their post, he'd think of it as a temporary novelty, a curiosity, so I can also easily imagine him treating every moment with her as though it were the last.
Enjoying her company while telling himself that tomorrow, surely, he'll finally leave. After all, that has been the plan for a long time now.
Just one more conversation. One more evening. One more chance to see her.
And then tomorrow comes.
Yet somehow, he's still there.
Maybe it's curiosity at first. Maybe affection.
Maybe he simply finds himself wanting to see that strange human one more time before he disappears.
Then one night becomes two.
Two become three.
Three become five.
And before he realizes it, he's no longer waiting for the right moment to leave. He's looking for reasons to stay.
As endearing as I find that idea, it is also where the tragedy begins.
Because every day Luci delays his escape is another day he risks losing the opportunity altogether.
Before he finally confides in Eva and before she has a chance to help him, the window may have already closed.
Jestyn notices.
The secret gets out.
The careful balance collapses.
And suddenly, neither of them can leave anymore.
The cat is out of the bag, and the play ends before Act Two ever has the chance to begin.
Since The Devil seems to love using nicknames and petnames, here are some endearing ideas I had for a while:
Devil's petnames for Eva -> Her Majesty, Chosen One, Petel (bc roses/flowers), little gem/jewel/Crown's jewel, Sweetness/Sweet fruit (as in a reference to the fruit of temptation. It kind of fits the circumstances of their dynamic)
I wanted to add "Angel" due to her distinct tattoo as I imagine he might have got a glimps of it when he was playing with her hair or something, but after The Angel oc came out I thought of a funny scenario where it'd be a bit confusing in use:
Luci: Angel, can I talk to you for a second?
Eva: Yes, what is it—
The Angel: nods silently
Eva and The Angel looking at each other confused
Wanted to also share a song that I've been listening on repeat while writing this just because the voice of the singer sounds so soft and comforting, almost teasing, just like I imagine Luci's to be (maybe not exactly the voice but the vibe, a bit).
The lyrics also kinda fit them? Me thinks. At least bits of them basing off my analysis ^^
It's a niche cover of one of my fav songs of Billie Eilish: Billie Bossa Nova by Jonathan :)
Also, shipname!
I actually do not have one set yet, but here are some ideas I'd like to propose:
- Devil's Rose
- DoveMagic/MagicDove/DoveTrick (last one I think is my favourite)
-GardenSnake/SnakeGarden (meh a bit)
- also another favourite for the symbolism point: FreeBird
If anyone has better ideas, comment and share! I'm curious :3c
Honestly, either platonic or romantic; I just love these two together ^^

KoM! Eva belongs to neptuii (me)
The Devil//Luci and The Angel belongs to @an0nymous-c (hope I did him justice here!)
first don't apologize for the blurryness ITS JUST TUMBLR BEING A DICK TOWARDS QUALITY </3
LOOK AT THIS CHART GIGGLES I found the bug part pretty funny
LUCI RN^^^
ID LVOE TO GO OFF MORE BUT THERES A LATER SECTION THAT EXPLAINS IT SOOOO WELL
As I've said before, the devil is not one to boast or brag, but goodness would he preen and soar and why? LETS GO TO THE NEXT SECTION!!!
TRUEEE CORRECT!!!! It's that,, acknowledgement you know? Luci breathes showmanship and thrives in his life of performance. He doesn't do it for power or ego, but because he loves the arts and loves to see it loved by other people. Does it purely out of love for the game.
Playing it dangerously now editing it on phone since im away from my pc now </3 and I’ll apologize now if many of my reactions are lackluster but goodness do you hit many of these correctly. I think an important aspect of street performance and performance in general is understanding your audience.
I think aside from his work, he is quite the people person. Pardon if Im not in my writers peak so most of my wording is straightforward to the point but I think he enjoys the company of others and learning about individuals.
I mean, that’s an important aspect to relationships right? The willingness to learn and observe. GUH IM OUT OF IT BUT U GET IT!!
🔥🔥🔥
It’s a small bit, but I do think Luci would appreciate Eva’s understanding. I do think most people in Luci’s life are nice and pleasant, but not all. Naturally the Devil is still a controversial role, despite how magnetic and intriguing the name. Some puppets disrespect him, some humans from the theatre’s past would have snide him, I don’t mention it but I can’t help but emphasize how much he appreciates someone like Eva.
I know it might have been a little late to add this on, but it wouldn’t be crazy to imagine Luci would have prepared himself for his majesty to be anything but kind?
Each and every moment Eva proves his worries wrong lightens the weight in his chest. Partly thankful that she, of all humans, was kind to him, and the other is thankful to know that the kingdom would be in good hands if he does leave.
OKAY I REMEMBER SO PROFIUNDLY WHILE I ATE DINNER IS THAT when I read this, I just had this,, imagine in my head for a drawing just — as you say, being treated gently.
Usually its HIM who does it, so you can imagine the pleasanr surprise benearh the mask when Eva’s hand reaches out, and meets his cheek. I just imagine that momentary freeze where everything pauses, and Luci relents. A warm chuckle leaving him as his hand comes to rest atop hers, I imagined another one where IDK AS IMPOSSIBLE AS IT SOUNDS HES LAYING DOWN AND SHE PATS OR CARESSES HIS LIKE HEAD??
Trust he’d be so surprise and freeze right up, not because he doesn’t like it!! That, he’d immediately shut down. He just didn’t expect it. If he could count the number of times someone was this careful, he’d only need one hand. But its overall positive I promise.
Can you imagine him relaxing in your presence? Usually one would imagine its you that would rest against him, while he watches over you, but when the roles switch — it’s,, strange.
I imagine Luci to be very independent and as I mentioned, self-assured and reliant. He’s stood by himself for so long he wouldn’t know the feeling of being held and cared for this delicately. Of course he likes it, it’s a change. One he’s not used to but he will.
…. Oh my god. There’s a photo limit. What. What.
OKAY GRUMBLES IM STRONGER THAN THIS AND WE'RE RESORTING TO COPY AND PASTING TUMBLR WILL NOT STOP ME
TUMBLR DOESNT HAVE THE BALLS!!!
"Maybe that's why I can't stop imagining a scene where he finds a compromise.
The difficult part has always been allowing themselves to receive it."
NUII OKAY CALL ME CRAZY BUT FUCKK I REMEMBER HAVING,, okay dont shoot me </3 But this was way prior before this post because you mentioned an interest in Luci and I couldnt help but imagine some drawing ideas for him and Eva, and one of them was scarily similar to this — No blindfolds, moreso just the room was dark and only Luci, as close to exposed one can get with only Eva's hands as her guide.
ADMITTEDLY THE IDEA WAS MORE SPICY THAN THAT </3 but I do see it as such an intimate moment, putting the sexual action aside, can you just imagine it?? I can see him holding his breath when her palms move against perfect porcelain, examining the planes of where he begins and ends - I think it'd be so,, insanity inducing because Eva can't see,, but she can FEEL and Luci can see HER reactions all the while.
He could see the way her face contorts and her mind fix pieces together of what this and that is, UGH Ill make it worse and even add, HE'S A TALKERRRRR IN BED UGH!!!
like I said it doesnt help that Eva's blindfolded or at least unable to see properly, because then it'd only increase her other senses. He'd just be so putty in her hands, praising her, how beautiful and kind she is, how gentle she is with him when this was meant to be about him 🥀 NOT IN A BAD WAY HE GEN JUST CANT HELP IT, He's so,, enamoured by those qualities and so thankful she practices such care. It'd be even more appreciated since this is assuming Eva is Luci's first partner.
UGHH Can you imagine him taking her hands, and directing her to his body? taking her by the wrist so her hand cups his jaw, rolling her name from his lips as she can feel something kiss her palm. IF I WAS EVA I'D BE DRIVING CRAZY UGH I HATE HIM I HATE HIM.
Her hands find his hair and he lowkey melts even more to her touch, literal puppet when she plays with loose strands and feel how maintained it is. UGH ID LOVE TO DRAW THIS SOMEDAY, it'd definitely be a challenge for me to explore anatomy to draw the positions I have in mind. DAMN YOU NERD now Im flustered 💔💔
The goosebumps that appear along her arms despite her best efforts to ignore them.
oh he notices and down the line he'd likely admit that he probably feels pride inciting such reactions. Forgive him, songbird, but can you fault him? It excites him to know you want him just as much. UGH YOU LOOK AT WHAT U DID GIVING ME IDEAS
She'd also bring him some of the photos she took with her trusted camera as she loves taking pictures. Mostly of nature or the small things she notices in life. It gives her a feeling of security.
IF I COULD ID ADD ANOTHER CRYING REACTION PICTURE SO JUST IMAGINE ITS THERE BUT UGHHH AWEEE
GOD I can just imagine recieving his first gift from her and when day arrives and her majesty leaves, he's left to ponder in his home. Before quietly moving. Adjusting objects and creating space for a new place where everything cherished will now find belonging. He'd read up the book, finally having reason to use a nifty little bookmark he couldn't use before — trinkets finds their home in parts of his caravan, most in that specific spot I mentioned. And godd the photos. Eva won't find the photos in the caravan, and when asked, Luci can only promise they're somewhere safe.
All these tiny offerings of a world he cannot reach himself.
>:( just know im frowning LIKE WHATEVER U JUT HAD TO MENTION THAT!!! LHLHLHL
✅✅✅
I LOVEE THE LAST LINE, "PROOF THAT SOMEWHERE BEFYOND THE DUST AND VELVER CURTAINS, LIFE CONTINUES MOVING FORWARD"
GOD How he'd love to see it all with her, if he could. Sometimes I think what stops Luci in his want for the beyond, is the fact that he'd be alone. I think the reason why the line hits harder is the fact the Kingdom is,, stuck. Frozen in time almost. One cannot grow from a place that's stagnant. That's how Luci would see it, even if it is home. It's either staying there to rot, or leaving to grow. UGH 💔
And perhaps, depending on how deeply their bond grows, Eva could become the salvation of Luci's long-awaited escape—
—or the very thing that prevents it from ever happening.
I deleted another picture some scrolls back just so I can add t his. This is where my world and dinner crumbled down when i read this. To anyone reading this do not trust user Neptuii ever.
As much as I love writing about fluff and romantic moments, I am also a very angsty writer :D
Sure. Okay.

And, let's be real, Jestyn's more possessive tendencies would likely become a problem for both Eva and Luci sooner or later.
I fear it wouldn't work out either in a sense </3 Luci and Jestyn are,,, almost similar but still have their differences. But in the end, somewhat similar. And those similarities and differences will clash. And whatever remains of their tense friendship may crumble. They both respect and feel a sense of melancholy first and foremost!! But they're not close anymore for reasons that they both accepted.
What interests me more is how Eva and Luci growing closer could unintentionally threaten Luci's dream of one day slipping away from the theatre unnoticed.
Simply because Eva would draw attention to him.
YOURE WRONG YOURE WRONG YOURE SO INCORRECT BUT AT THE SAME TIME UR CORRECT BUT I HATE YOU I HATE UR CORRECT BEACUSE IT WOULD </3

UR SO RIGHT FUCK VIGIL </3 IM GIGGLING AT THE IDEA OF VIGIL SEEING EVA AND LUCI BEING TOO,, CLOSE AND INSTANTLY GETTING THAT LIGHT BULB AND "ohhhh" moment
At the same time, Eva's growing closeness with Luci would inevitably make Jestyn curious. Why was his Majesty suddenly spending so much time with an old, good friend of his?

I HATE UR CORRECTT WHY ARE U SO PEAK AND CORRECT I HATE U USER NEPTUII BECAUSE GOD UR SO CORRECT 🥀BECAUSE IT GENUINELY DID WORK UNDER LUCI'S FAVOR, enigmatic and extravagant he is, the most that know and care for him are townspuppets and anyone else he's close to WITHIN the lesser population.
But when rumors spread and wander amongst the nobility of her majesty with the Devil?? what does that create? EYES
100 pesos to anyone that shoots user neptuii someone do it for me and ill love u forever DO IT UGHHH RIPS MY FACE OFF BITING MY NAILS While i do believe Jestyn would never hurt a fellow puppet, it just wouldn't be right with his role as the kingdom's sole authority figure - but god can you imagine Luci somehow being punished? I genuinely hate to imagine Eva arriving for work and finding her darling devil anything but chipper and merry, and worst of all, distant or just plain missing.
While I DONT THINK LUCI WOULD BE PUNISHED THAT BADLY it would still create tension between all relationships no? And even with his fondness, Luci would be no fool to not see Jestyn's fondness towards her majesty, and Luci would be no thief against one he deems a former close friend.
As Anon-C pointed out in their post, he'd think of it as a temporary novelty, a curiosity, so I can also easily imagine him treating every moment with her as though it were the last.
I HATE UR SO CORRECT BECAUSE HE WOULD HE WOULD TREAT IT AS IF IT WAS ALL ITS LAST 💔
Enjoying her company while telling himself that tomorrow, surely, he'll finally leave. After all, that has been the plan for a long time now.
Just one more conversation. One more evening. One more chance to see her.
And then tomorrow comes.
Yet somehow, he's still there.
the gasp I gasped while I was eating dinner reading this I HATE YOU SUER NEPTUII ILL BLOCK U USER NEPTUII YOULL NEVER SEE LUCI AGAIN EVER EVER EVER
THAT FELT LIKE A FUCKING NOVEL ENDING WHEES THE REST </3 HERE I THOUGHT I WAS READING A FANFIC WITH THAT FUCKING LINE "Yet somehow, He's still there." GET THE FUCK OUT
Maybe it's curiosity at first.
BE LUCKY I CANT FIND UR LOCATION NEPTUII I WILL FIND YOU USER NEPTUII DONT U DARE
HATE LETT ME TELL YOU WHEN I BEGAN TO HATE SINCE IVE BEGAN TO LIVE FUCK
WHERES TEH RESTT OF It
WHERES MY HAPPY ENDING
WHAT IN THE TWENTY CHAPTER AO3 FANFIC WAS THAT GIVE ME MORE GIVE ME MORE MOVIE
NUII DO THEY KNOW UR A FRAUD NUII?? CAUSE UR A FRAUDDD U SCAMMERRRRR
I APPROVE ALL OF THEM, GIGGLES I think my favorite oh my god. Im lsitening to the bossa nova song u recommended and the singer just hitt a low ass note and it was so smooth and oh my god i feel enlightened. ANYWAY BACK TO TOPIC MY MOST FAVORITES ARE CHOSENNNN I love that nickname <3 I admittedly find it a nice default for Luci, "my chosen" mayhaps not chosen one (feels to expectant, OH GREAT CHOSEN ONE type shit LHLHLHL) but I find My chosen to be such an intimate name. He chose you, even if you don't choose him.
I ALSO LOVE SWEET FRUIT GIGGLES LIKE i just had this image of a chibi Luci biting onto chibi Eva's face jokingly GIGGLES
BUT ALSO BOO I'D STILL USE ANGEL ITS FINE!!! I imagine Luci has a different name in mind for The angel, he'd find it unfitting to give a nickname to the angel that's just another variation of angel.
ALSO I LOVE THE SONG RAHHHH DUDE WHEN THE SINGER HITS THE LOWER NOTES I GET LITERAL SHIVERS I CAN SEE WHY YOU THINK ITS REMINISCENT OF LUCI BECAUSE I AGREE!! OKAY not as a confirmed voice claim, but goodness is it almost alike.
RATING
1000000000000000000000000 / 10 !!!!
ME AFTER READING THIS ^
GENUINELY I LOVE THIS SO MUCH U DONT KNOW HJOW MUCH I ADORE U NUII this was so specific and in depth UGH it made my day so much reading this at dinner. This is admittedly late since my energy fluctuates still. But I adored this and Its crazy to think theres MORE Incoming GOD </3
Its insane how much you got so much accurate too and I LOVEEE u explained and went over and added CATEGORIES. The amount of effort in this is insanity I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
AS FOR THEIR SHIP NAME,,, GUH is it cruel If admittedly none of them struck me right? I WONT FAULT U partly because it is difficult to think of one for both of them,,, WOULD ITT BE TOO CLICH TO LEAN IN HEAVILY WITH THE ANGEL AND DEVIL THEME THEY HAVE WHAWHHAW
OKAY OKAY HEAR ME OUT,, how do you feel about ParadiseLost?
OKAY MAYBE A BIT DRAMATIC BUT HEAR ME OUT!! MY TURN BITCHES!!!!
It's mostly a reference to what you said, the angst that lies in their relationship is how fleeting and fragile it is. IM LOSING MY ENERGY BUT LET ME TRY UH UH!!! It's the fact Eva almost makes him wants to stay, makes him want to believe there is still something about this place that means he should remain. Eva's company and presence is closest to heaven and paradise he'll ever get, whcih I find ironically is - she's probably the closest thing to the outside world. Eva is his temptation and is also his reason to want to stay.
ParadiseLost because of all the obstacles, how easily the dream can be ruined. That this bliss is easily taken away if he isnt careful.
WHATEVER U WISH OFC, WE CAN DISCUSS OVER IT DUH DUH
OKAY I'M SORRY FOR NOT RESPONDING TO THIS EARLIER BUT
I had to process some bits of the response because some of the things are SO ENTICING TO DRAW and currently I am not able to get my digital set up but I've been ITCHING to draw some of the scenes here like-
Okay okay I am getting ahead of myself--
Let's calculate the emotional damage I suffered when reading these comments [I'm copy pasting stuff cuz I'm not on my phone so I cannot make screenshots like usually]:
1.
"Naturally the Devil is still a controversial role, despite how magnetic and intriguing the name.
Partly thankful that she, of all humans, was kind to him, and the other is thankful to know that the kingdom would be in good hands if he does leave."
emotional damage: 6/10
We're off to a good start..
I kid you not, I am a sucker for tropes where a character is wrongly deemed as evil and is categorized into a box of prejudice and stereotypes when in reality they are just misunderstood. That's like, my no.1 favourite trope. I write about that all the time!!
And with a pairing of someone who tries to understand that person and see them for who they are and do not listen to what others think of them: banger trope.
Funny enough, Eva is that kind of character in my writing. I'm not trying to make her a perfect protagonist just because she's kind or well-meaning; she's far from perfect. She has her own flaws and struggles, many of which have a negative impact on her relationships.
In many ways, she's also deeply misunderstood and often the subject of false assumptions. After years of building walls around herself as a form of protection, she's become detached from the people around her. The problem is that those walls keep others at a distance, making it difficult for them to truly understand her. Instead, they make assumptions based on what little they can see, judging her like a painting viewed from afar rather than a person they have taken the time to know (because they literally can't get that far with her).
She's detached, and she secretly hates that about herself. As I've mentioned before, she longs for a meaningful connection, and to her, that can only come through genuine understanding.
She doesn't judge people simply based on what others say about them because she knows how easily that leads to misunderstandings. Instead, she forms her own opinions through her own experiences with that person. Although she may come across as distant, cold, and guarded at first, she sees no reason to be unkind to someone unless they've been unkind to her. And Luci is anything but.
2.
"Usually its HIM who does it, so you can imagine the pleasanr surprise benearh the mask when Eva’s hand reaches out, and meets his cheek. I just imagine that momentary freeze where everything pauses, and Luci relents. A warm chuckle leaving him as his hand comes to rest atop hers, I imagined another one where IDK AS IMPOSSIBLE AS IT SOUNDS HES LAYING DOWN AND SHE PATS OR CARESSES HIS LIKE HEAD??"
emotional damage: 9/10
You're reading my mind with the last one. I PLANNED TO DRAW STH LIKE THAT LOWKEY--
oooh I am boiling inside. I WANNA DRAW--
Let me tell you that this would 1000% happen if he let her. She is the type of person to pet someone while she let's them rest their head on her thighs or even on her stomach or chest. If they were close enough like that, she'd do that. She'd be so gentle with the caresses, too. She'd drag her point finger behind his ears, along his scalp, comb her fingers through the strands of his hair with a slow drag, or stroke the smooth part of his hair on top of his head with the back of her knuckles and fingers, gently petting him in this slow, calming manner. She'd be careful not to tug at his hair.
If he had his scarf on, she'd just pet him gently, maybe sometimes gently caressing and touching parts of his mask or its horns, curious of the texture and details, but delicate as to not move it or damage it.
"I imagine Luci to be very independent and as I mentioned, self-assured and reliant. He’s stood by himself for so long he wouldn’t know the feeling of being held and cared for this delicately. Of course he likes it, it’s a change. One he’s not used to but he will."
I am amazed by how relatable Luci would feel to Eva. They have so much in common it's insane and beautiful
Like, saameee. Again, not letting people in and being independent = not being used to being taken care of or cared for in such ways.
They'd both be discovering how that feels by treating each other kindly, gently. Discovering the type of intimacy and vulnerability they aren't used to.
3.
"NUII OKAY CALL ME CRAZY BUT FUCKK I REMEMBER HAVING,, okay dont shoot me </3 But this was way prior before this post because you mentioned an interest in Luci and I couldnt help but imagine some drawing ideas for him and Eva, and one of them was scarily similar to this — No blindfolds, moreso just the room was dark and only Luci, as close to exposed one can get with only Eva's hands as her guide."
Me and homie sharing braincells FJEEIIOFFOI
Okay Okay I LOVE the idea of them just finding themselves in a dark room, probably his caravan. I like that more than the blindfold idea even!
"ADMITTEDLY THE IDEA WAS MORE SPICY THAN THAT </3 but I do see it as such an intimate moment, putting the sexual action aside, can you just imagine it?? I can see him holding his breath when her palms move against perfect porcelain, examining the planes of where he begins and ends - I think it'd be so,, insanity inducing because Eva can't see,, but she can FEEL and Luci can see HER reactions all the while."
I need that man-- FFJFJFFFL
There's just something so so intimate about exploring each other bodies in the dark (I love that trope too, I write about that often in my private writing of my own ocs that wont see the light of the day hehe), like. Luci feeling safe and trusting her enough to do that, yet still somehow showing reactions of gentle surprise at her touch because he is not used to it.. hhh I love that sm-- And the same thing would be with Eva... wait gonna talk about it in the next bit but first.
"He could see the way her face contorts and her mind fix pieces together of what this and that is, UGH Ill make it worse and even add, HE'S A TALKERRRRR IN BED UGH!!!"
No, because that.. that makes it worse (in a good way) and better.
So, fun fact about Eva: spicy edition.
Again, assuming the bond is there for her to feel attraction like that and feel safe enough to go to bed with someone, she's really into dirty talk haha
Especially the soft, whispery kind of talking in bed. You know, when that someone talks gently and in a hushed, honeyed voice, lowering to the ear to whisper sweet praises and compliments. That kind of thing. And oh boy, would that make her ice-cold walls melt.
She doesn't like when the other person is silent in bed as it makes her feel more like a toy than a partner sharing a loving act. Having someone sweetly interactive would definitely make her feel truly loved and appreciated and at the same time open her up more to act the same.
"like I said it doesnt help that Eva's blindfolded or at least unable to see properly, because then it'd only increase her other senses.
Her hands find his hair and he lowkey melts even more to her touch, literal puppet when she plays with loose strands and feel how maintained it is."
You're right. This man would drive her INSANE.
Imagine. After so many years living in such emotional isolation from people, not letting them close in emotional context and therfore definitely not in the physical one.
And then a guy shows up in her life that somehow was able to lower these self-preservation instincts enough to get close to her on both levels of intimacy.
Yeah, she'd melt.
I know this is supposed to be more spicy take on their relationship but would it make it weird if I said that if he held her face and be gentle with her long enough, she might shed a tear or two? She wouldn't start bawling her eyes out as after years of emotional detachment it can get hard to cry. But something about this tenderness he'd grant her would make her feel like she could.. just let go of the tension that's been squeezing at her heart for quite some time.
She'd just.. let out an almost shakey sigh, letting him hold her as she closes her eyes, and if he were to observe closely, he'd see small tears leaving her tearducks, staining her lashes and corners of her eyes with the moisture and down her temples. Maybe a small, fragile but calm smile would tug on her lips. A smile of relief mixed with feelings of absurdity and denial. I think because she might have started loosing hope to find that feeling she's been longing for.
... Now I wanna lowkey write a one-shot of sorts of that.....
"oh he notices and down the line he'd likely admit that he probably feels pride inciting such reactions. Forgive him, songbird, but can you fault him? It excites him to know you want him just as much."
You know exactly what you're doing, an0nymous-C.
4.
"GOD How he'd love to see it all with her, if he could. Sometimes I think what stops Luci in his want for the beyond, is the fact that he'd be alone."
No because they are literally the same. What.
I want them to have a happy ending when they both leave theatre together or something ugh
But yeah, Eva is as afraid of loneliness as he probably is. I want them to fight their loneliness togetherrr--
5.
"While i do believe Jestyn would never hurt a fellow puppet, it just wouldn't be right with his role as the kingdom's sole authority figure - but god can you imagine Luci somehow being punished? I genuinely hate to imagine Eva arriving for work and finding her darling devil anything but chipper and merry, and worst of all, distant or just plain missing."
Okay. OKAY. I see how it is. I'm getting my ass whooped right back with this one.
I also don't believe Jestyn would hurt another puppet, at least not on purpose (wink to my latest oc). He wouldn't want to be seen by other puppets (and MC) as cruel.
But yeah, I can imagine that his jelaousy would be able to drive him to have a certain conversation with Luci which could result in making a sort of breach in his and Eva's growing bond.
Gosh darn it...
You made me cry. Hope you're happy with that information.
"While I DONT THINK LUCI WOULD BE PUNISHED THAT BADLY it would still create tension between all relationships no? And even with his fondness, Luci would be no fool to not see Jestyn's fondness towards her majesty, and Luci would be no thief against one he deems a former close friend."
Okkk reading this made me SOO ANGRYY
Mostly on Eva's behalf. Which is also mine.
Because this— this would just upset her.
If Luci started distancing himself from her, showing reluctance to accompany her, or simply stopped acting as fondly as he had before, Eva would notice. It wouldn't sit right with her.
Partly because she'd done the same thing herself in the past.
When relationships became complicated or emotionally overwhelming, her instinct had often been to withdraw, to put distance between herself and the other person rather than confront what she was feeling. She knew what that behavior looked like because she had lived it.
So if Luci suddenly started pulling away, she wouldn't dismiss it as coincidence. She would recognize the signs almost immediately and know that something had changed.
And she wouldn't be content to ignore it. She would try to get him to talk, to understand what was bothering him and why he was keeping her at arm's length.
And eventually, I imagine that he might let something slip— just enough for her to piece together the reason behind his sudden change in behavior.
And oh boy, would that upset her.
Not because she'd be angry with Luci, necessarily, but because she'd learn that, first, Jestyn had gone behind her back and interfered with her relationship with him, and second, that Luci had been willing to accept whatever conclusions Jestyn had come to without speaking to her first.
That would hurt.
Because from her perspective, it would mean she had no say in the matter whatsoever.
She's not a toy. She's not property. She's not something to be traded away, yielded, or fought over like a prize at a market stall.
She's a person.
Even if she and Jestyn had formed some sort of bond, her feelings for him would never have developed deeply enough to become romantic if she were spending most of her time with Luci instead. And frankly, Jestyn's slightly unsettling nature already makes it difficult for her to trust him completely.
This situation would only reinforce that feeling.
To her, it would seem controlling. As though he saw himself as having some claim over her life and choices. It would make her feel less like an equal and more like a bird kept in a cage.
And seeing Luci go along with it— even if his intentions were noble, even if he genuinely believed he was doing the right thing by not "stealing" a romantic prospect from an old friend— would only deepen her discomfort.
Because the issue isn't who deserves her or got some feelings for her first.
It's that nobody gets to decide for her.
She's not Jestyn's.
She's no one's.
But she wanted to be Luci's.
Not because she belonged to him, but because she chose him.
And he chose her.
That's their decision to make.
I wanna draw that conversation too because oh my gooddd

RAAAHH I love that shipname!! Approved!!
As to ease the pain, have these concept doodles of a similiar thing I wanna draw digitally because I am impatient and I wanna show my ideas NOW
These are not exactly the poses I was going for as I rushed this but you get it
LOVE YOU THANK YOU FOR THE REBLOG I now need therapy after all these bricks.. ugh...
Be prepared to get some emotional damage drawings of them in the future.
Ughh I hate this bastardd.. these were supposed to be quick doodles but they took almost 2 hours, what?!
I wanted to make him pretty and now I pay the price...
Anyway, enjoy these; forgive me if he looks off, I'm still learning how to draw him...
Considering he's chosen for playing a villain and just does some simple schemes how would he do /feel with a REAL villain. Someone who seeks to harm the theater perhaps. Or merely the current crew, yet seeing as he is a pickpocket with no real affiliation decides to approach him sweetly. Truthfully, sarcastic and humorous
Would he join the group in causing mayhem for better or worse knowing he'd have the company of like 4 others watching out for him who also hide from the current puppet cast or would he not be interested ? I have so many more questions but ehehee >:))
Oookay
I had few hours to mull this ask over in my mind because, honestly, it's a tough nut to crack.
First of all, if you're asking what Ilian's opinion would be of a puppet who played the role of the main villain in stories, I'm not even sure such a puppet would exist.
I imagine Crownus was far too prideful to allow someone else to take the spotlight unless it was for a role meant to make him look even better— something like a comic relief, which was essentially Ilian's position.
Still, maybe such a puppet could have existed.
Even then, they'd always be destined to lose. I can't imagine any antagonist puppet being allowed to triumph over Crownus and his loyal heroes and subjects. Their defeat would be written into the story from the very beginning.
If such a puppet did exist, I think Ilian would have conflicting feelings about them.
On one hand, he'd be envious. They were considered important enough to be given a greater role, while he remained stuck playing insignificant antagonists.
On the other hand, he'd pity them. No matter how grand their role was, they were still trapped in the same fate as him: defeat.
Never victorious. Never truly allowed to win.
Though if that puppet had fans among the human audience, that pity wouldn't last very long.
At least they mattered.
. . .
Now, if we're talking about one of your villain puppets approaching Ilian after Crownus' fall and asking him to join their side...
That's where things become complicated.
From a practical standpoint, it would make sense. Ilian is not one of the taller or stronger puppets by puppet standards, so forming alliances could be beneficial. Strength comes in numbers, after all, and having others watch his back would certainly improve his chances of survival.
However, judging by the way you described the "true villain" puppet approaching him... that would immediately make him suspicious.
Ilian isn't stupid, and he certainly isn't easy to deceive. He's spent far too much of his life being overlooked, used, and underestimated. If he got the impression that this puppet and their companions saw him as nothing more than another piece to fit into their grand scheme, he'd become hesitant very quickly.
Possibly outright refuse.
The thing is, Ilian has never really been a team player. He prefers being his own boss. That's the only way he knows he won't be pushed aside or controlled by someone else's ambitions.
If joining them meant becoming another asset for their cause, he'd decline.
He doesn't want to be part of some gang of villains.
And he absolutely doesn't want to be someone's henchman.
He wants to be his own character.
Not a side-story antagonist.
The Villain.
So, in the end, it comes down to individuality.
Ilian would never give that up for the sake of a convenient alliance, especially if his role within the group was vague or secondary to the main villain's ambitions.
He spent his entire life alone— unsupported, forgotten, and barely acknowledged. Why would he suddenly devote himself to a group of strangers?
If someone wanted an alliance with him, they'd need to convince him that he wouldn't simply become another tool in their hands. They'd need to prove that joining them wouldn't diminish his importance or steal his spotlight.
Because he won't share it.
One day, Ilian fully intends to get his revenge.
And if he has to do it alone, then so be it.

Hope this answer satsfies your curiosity! You're welcome to ask the other ones, although it might take me time to answer them; I'm still new to this qna kind of thing haha ^^'
Salutations! May I write about your KoM OCs to the best of my ability and what are the attitudes can you say about this new Thief/Villain has towards the main cast, if you haven't done it already I'm still scrolling through your tumblr because damn you have a lot of OCs but in a positive sense and wow this is a long list of OCs how do you do that-
Greetings!
Oh my god to be honest I am so overwhelmed with the love I got from some people (and anon-C, the reblog about my new son got me giggling lol)-
Like what
Honestly, I did not expect people to want to know more about him ToT
Ah, but to not rumble in your ask, let me finally answer your question:
You can!! I'd be honestly honoured to have someone write about any of my ocs, genuinely thank you for acknowledging them and appreciating them <3 I'm still in shock haha
I know I cannot ask of you to try and not mischaracterise them as, frankly, they literally have 1-3 posts created about them and not fully about them even so you might find my blog lacking in information...
But if you wanna write about Eva as well, please check out some of my writing about her. They aren't solely focused on her as I didn't introduce her properly yet (I wasn't prepared for people to take interest in her as she's a sort of self-insert human oc):
1. Here is my reblog to her reference with some fun facts about her + her thoughts on the main KoM cast - link
2. Ofc, her opinion on Anon-C's Chapter 1 characters - link
3. You can also find additional bits of info I weave into my reactions to anon-C posts and stuff with their characters: link1devil doodle , link2response reblog, about Eva's hands
4. Eva and Luci dynamics: link
As to talk about Ilian and his thoughts on the main cast.. well buckle up as I'll be writing on the go, forgive me how chaotic this one will be:
The Thief/The Vilian's opinion on the main KoM cast [I'm still developing him so forgive me for the lack of words]:
────────────────── ⋆⋅♛⋅⋆ ───────────────────
Jestyn
In short: He hates him. I think you can guess for what reasons. But it's not only that.
He was the one who joined Crownus in making a fool of him; a mere source of comic relief, provoking laughter from the audience and saving both Crownus' face and the theatre's reputation at the cost of the Thief's dignity. What was supposed to be his chance to win the audience's favour became a disaster that still haunts him to this day.
He was also the one who, at Crownus' command and like an obedient hound, chopped off his hand as punishment for his "crime." And as if that wasn't enough, he obeyed Crownus' cruel order to scorch the exposed hand of his true form after they had severed the puppet hand of his vessel, turning the injury into an irriversible mutilation; a permanent scar upon both his form and his dignity.
And finally, he was the one who believed he had the right to do what the Thief himself had always intended to do: he took Crownus' life. By doing that, he took The Thief's right. Right to carry out his justice, his sweet revenge, leaving him forever unsatisfied, forever bitter and wronged.
After all of that, he started despising Jestyn and he absolutely denies his self-proclaimed authority in the theatre. He doesn't respect him nor the nobles. He loathes them.
Another thing that adds to their rivarly/hatred of sorts is the fact that since Crownus' fall, in an attempt to grasp at whatever scraps of revenge he can still claim against both Crownus and Jestyn, I imagine The Thief becoming notorious for trying to steal Crownus' old crown from Jestyn.
And I'm not talking about the crown Jestyn gives us in the game, as I don't feel like it's Crownus' crown.
I remember that in one ask, Pipi mentioned that Jestyn's prized possession is his crown.
It wasn't specified, but I think she was talking about the crown on his head. What if that is Crownus' real crown?
If that headcanon were true in my KoM interpretation, it would only add to the Thief's simmering hatred toward Jestyn. He would see it as deeply unfair that Jestyn gets to keep the crown of that bastard. And so he tries to steal it. Again and again.
Every attempt ends in failure.
Not because he lacks skill— far from it. He's actually a remarkably talented thief. Unfortunately, Jestyn rarely lets the crown out of his sight, making the task nearly impossible. It doesn't help that Jestyn can teleport and is considerably stronger than The Thief.
And so the cycle repeats itself endlessly: attempts, failures, humiliation, and renewed determination fueled entirely by spite and hatred [lmao he's such a hateful, bitter loser haha].
Jestyn, meanwhile, occassionally enjoys provoking Ilian whenever the rascal gets on his nerves. For example, he calls him "Thi-Thi" (Or Fi-Fi, as how you'd pronounce it) as a sort of shortcut to his old name Theo (which is also pronounced like the word "thief").
He hates that damn nickname.
Their dynamic could best be described like this: Ilian hates Jestyn, while Jestyn views Ilian as a sad, bored, and occasionally annoying nuisance who cannot seem to find a purpose in life. Most of the time, he simply ignores him or throws a sharp retort his way whenever he becomes too irritating.
Jestyn does harbor some regret and sympathy for the Thief, but he rarely dwells on those feelings. There are greater matters demanding his attention now.
The arrival of a new Majesty.

Knighter
I don't think they'd like each other either.
Knighter dislikes the Thief for several reasons. First and foremost, the Thief repeatedly tried to humiliate and steal from Crownus. To Knighter, that alone is enough to earn his contempt. He sees the Thief as an irritating pest— a raccoon rummaging through places it doesn't belong, or perhaps a rat scurrying through the theatre's halls. An insignificant rascal, far beneath the authority and dignity of the Crown.
The Thief, in turn, can't stand Knighter. He finds his unwavering loyalty to Crownus frustrating, if not outright infuriating. In his eyes, Knighter followed the King blindly and rarely questioned anything he does. On top of that, he always seems to have a stick up his ass, carrying himself with a perpetual grumpiness that makes him unpleasant to be around.
Another reason for the Thief's dislike is much more personal: Knighter was the one who caught him breaking into Crownus' chambers, ruining what he considered a perfect plan. That failure remains a sore spot for him.
After the King's fall, their relationship did not improve. If anything, the Thief becomes even more of a nuisance. I can easily imagine Ilian continuing his habit of stealing from the nobles whenever an opportunity presents itself. Sometimes he succeeds and disappears before anyone notices. Other times he's caught by Knighter or another noble before he can get away.
Either way, his reputation precedes him.
Among the nobles, he's become infamous— a persistent troublemaker who refuses to stay out of places he shouldn't be and keeps trying to walk away with things that don't belong to him. And more often than not, Knighter is the one forced to deal with him.

Wizzy
Eh... neutral grounds? I'm not sure... but yeah. I'd say they're on relatively neutral ground.
The Thief would probably steal from Wizzy whenever the opportunity presented itself, but I don't think he has any particularly strong feelings toward him. There's no personal hatred like there is with Jestyn, nor any deep grudge to fuel his actions. At most, he carries the same mild resentment he has toward many of the major role puppets in the theatre— those who were given important roles while his own was reduced to little more than a joke.
Even then, that resentment isn't especially focused on Wizzy. Compared to the others, he simply isn't important enough in the Thief's eyes to warrant much attention.
Wizzy, on the other hand, would likely find the Thief more confusing than anything else. Every now and then, objects would mysteriously disappear from his room or workspace, only for him to eventually realize that a certain puppet tended to be nearby whenever something went missing.
Over time, he might grow a bit more cautious around the Thief as a result. Still, I don't think he would openly dislike him. At most, he'd find him mildly irritating.
The truth is that Wizzy spends so much of his time buried in experiments, research, and whatever project currently has his attention that he rarely concerns himself with a random puppet wandering around town. The Thief simply isn't important enough to occupy much space in his thoughts.
Their dynamic is less one of rivalry and more one of occasional inconvenience.
The Thief steals from Wizzy.
Wizzy notices it's gone (if ever, that guy's place is a mess).
Wizzy sighs.

Prieston
Another puppet the Thief wouldn't particularly like— what a surprise.
As priests are often considered a King's closest advisors and most trusted confidants, Prieston would have naturally earned the Thief's distrust from the very beginning. Back then, to him, Prieston was simply another puppet who believed himself above others, another favored figure standing comfortably at Crownus' side. That alone was enough to put him firmly on the Thief's list of disliked individuals.
You would think that, like many of the other prominent puppets, Prieston wouldn't pay much attention to the Thief at all, too occupied with his duties as the King's advisor to concern himself with a minor actor desperately reaching for recognition.
And perhaps, on the surface, that was true.
Yet I imagine Prieston, observant as he is, quietly taking notice of him.
He would watch the Thief's repeated attempts to gain attention, respect, and importance within the theatre. Not with mockery, nor with sympathy, but with a certain fascination. There is something undeniably interesting about a puppet trying to become more than the role it was given.
A puppet refusing to accept its place.
Even after the King's fall, I can imagine Prieston continuing this silent observation whenever the Thief's schemes, thefts, and misadventures found their way to the doors of the royal court. He would rarely interfere directly, preferring instead to watch from a distance and quietly take note of the patterns in his behavior.
The Thief, meanwhile, would never grow fond of Prieston.
Unlike most puppets, he does not buy into the priest's image for a second.
He has seen too much.
Over the years, he has quietly witnessed the subtle influence Prieston exerts over those around him. Never through force. Never openly. Just a word here, a suggestion there, a carefully chosen piece of advice offered at precisely the right moment. Small nudges that, over time, altered the course of lives and stories alike.
The Thief has watched those ripples spread.
He has seen how Prieston's seemingly harmless actions shaped the fates of other puppets, often without them ever realizing it. He has seen decisions influenced, paths redirected, and events unfold in ways that can be traced back to a conversation most would have forgotten.
And that is precisely why he considers Prieston dangerous.
Not because he is cruel. Not because he is violent.
But because he understands exactly what he is doing.
To everyone else, Prieston appears serene, kind, patient, and pure— a trusted advisor whose only goal is to help others.
To the Thief, that image is little more than a carefully maintained facade.
And if there is one thing the Thief understands, it is illusions.
He would be convinced that there is something darker lurking beneath Prieston's pleasant exterior, something most puppets either fail to notice or choose to ignore.
Ironically, however, the Thief himself has become a creature of masks, deception, and carefully maintained personas. Because of that, his feelings toward Prieston are more complicated than simple dislike.
There is resentment, certainly.
Distrust as well.
But beneath that lies a strange, almost cynical appreciation.
The Thief can recognize skill when he sees it.
As much as he resents Prieston, there is something darkly amusing about watching an entire theatre accept a carefully constructed image without question while he alone sees the strings hidden behind the performance.
He might never admit it openly, but a part of him respects the performance.
After all, a convincing illusion is still an illusion.
And who better to recognize one than a thief?

And for his opinion on the MC, I'm gonna leave it for another ask I got in my inbox ^^
You would not believe how many notifs and asks I got about this rascal while writing this post... ToT
Hope this answers your question. Things might change in the future as I just created the guy and I had to sit and think quite a bit to even write an answer to this one that'd feel fitting for him haha
