☠️ As a natural Seer, Jlarin receives visions of possible futures... but he's also a natural Doom player and sees damn near everything that could go wrong. He is thus on edge almost constantly. - -

☠️His dreams are the only real reprieve from his visions. When the group reaches the moon activation step of 2.0, he'll activate Derse, preferring the darker and quieter environment over Prospit. - -

☠️ Screaming gamer words at strangers in video game lobbies is one of his favorite ways of blowing off steam (besides roughhousing with Reltha and getting his ass kicked, or arguing with Lasven). - -

☠️Seriously, this boy needs to re-learn "inside voice" and "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". - -

☠️ His openly favorite games include Warhammer 40k, WoW, COD, War Thunder, Valorant, niche indie shooters, and (oh no) League of Legends. In secret, though, he plays dating sims. The day Lasven finds out is the day his shoddy semblance of dignity is destroyed for good. - -

☠️ When he saved Reltha from [serious thing not to be named yet], he'd seen a vision of her actually dying. He arrived at her hive just in time, and they've been friends ever since. - -

☠️ He has conflicted feelings about Gravix. On one hand, "violet" fish boy is kind-hearted and curious and silly and fun-loving and honestly a little bit of a hemo-rebel... on the other, something about him makes Jlarin's skin crawl. Not Gravix himself, but something around him. Something involving him. Something very, very bad. He cannot See what that "something" is or what's (potentially) going to happen, and it's beyond unsettling. Someone or something is preventing him from Seeing. - -

☠️ His handwriting is... not good. It's legible, but it's ugly.

☠️ Despite his reputation for being a whiny asshole, he doesn't go out of his way to be mean. He doesn't like being mean; it doesn't make him feel any better (unless he's taking his frustrations out on his dumbass purple kismesis). Actually, he's the group's go-to when they need someone to commiserate with. Jlarin understands what to say and what not to say when someone is talking through their problems/stresses/fears aloud. - -

☠️ He also understands that sometimes, it's better to not say anything at all. In those cases, he'll offer one of his vintage handheld devices—a Gameboy, a Nintendo DS, that kind of thing. (All of which Klikai bought online and restored for fun.) - -

☠️His typing quirk (adding in. periods where they don't. don't make sense, and. and repeating words) mimics his stilted, awkward, stammering way of speaking. - -

☠️ Both he and Klikai are known for bizarre eating habits. Klikai eats weird shit; Jlarin doesn't eat much at all. He really likes hot dogs and will just scarf them down cold right from the bag. - -

☠️The upside-down smiley face pin on his beanie is a sort of "fuck you" gift from Lasven. When asked where he got it, he lies.

this time, group 2/team trident

Tharni and Zazilo are those matesprits. They're, as Fenlin puts it, a nuisance. They will not stop making out in hallways, on the observation deck, in the supply closets, in the pantry, in Fenlin's private bar, in the ship's communal bar, by the pool, and on and on. The more inconvenient the location is for everyone else, the more they'll kiss there. They're completely devoted to each other... and they're total opposites. Zazilo is a pretentious bastard who dresses like a 17th century French king and has expensive taste in wine. Tharni is a grimy little slob who wears the same 3 t shirts and drinks blood for fun. He saved her life when she was jumped by a gang of highbloods she'd angered. She'd already snapped and was attempting to fight them off herself when he arrived. Regarding their blood gap (purple/rust), it's irrelevant to him. Meanwhile, she's into it because she's a freak. - -

Before Vrexil joined them, Zazilo was not as calm as he is now. If someone disrespected Tharni, he'd pick a physical fight with them. His emotions ran high; he was intense, dramatic, and passionate, even if he was in the wrong. After she mysteriously appeared out of nowhere... yeah, he calmed right down. He is (fortunately for Vrexil) too obtuse to understand why. The others attribute it to Tharni's chill presence & their matespritship. You know why, chat. You know. - -

Vrexil did just approach the House Lomeni (Fenlin's giant ship, named after herself, built for extended space travel) in a beat-up, low-on-fuel lifepod sort of craft and requested to dock. Once there, she immediately liked tolerated Zazilo. If she weren't so emotionally unavailable, they'd discuss being official moirails. - -

Chacie and Fenlin are moirails. Needing a top notch engineer and mechanic, she went looking everywhere she could back on their home planet... and found Chacie vibing in some handcrafted steampunk-yet-high-tech looking hovel. Mostly, they got along. They've had their share of arguments, the worst ending in Chacie blowing up at her for being way too bossy and not listening to the mid/lowbloods enough. Fenlin took being set straight like that to heart, and since then, she's sought Chacie's input on... everything. In turn, Chacie goes to her for inspiration and Boss Ass Bitch pep talks. - -

There was some weird tension between Vrexil and Gilvan at first, and neither of them has ever explained it. Whatever the issue was, they've talked through it like adults (away from prying eyes and ears) and established a sort of... neutral friendship. They're not good friends, but she's one of two trolls who have earned Vrexil's actual tolerance and respect. - -

Fenlin and Zazilo have been friends for nearly their entire lives, but they're not moirails. He's too dedicated to Tharni (and before getting with her, was too much of a dick). - -

Thankfully there are no kismeses on board. (Yet.) Tharni's relaxed vibes (and drugs), Gilvan's sensible advice, Fenlin's firm leadership, and Vrexil's Strange Mysterious Calming Influence keep them all pretty stable. However, Vrexil really doesn't like Fen and only listens to her out of necessity. - -

Gilvan is the oldest and wisest of them, and she's navigated through some very serious hardship.. she'd make a good auspistice if anybody ever needed one.

If you want to have any close relationship with Gravix, you have to be okay with two things: 1. It's online only. He doesn't hang out with anyone but Juluno and Maiyun (who's monochromatic colorblind, seeing only in green). 2. Juluno monitoring every interaction to ensure that certain questions aren't asked and that Gravix doesn't accidentally spill his heir secret. Although Juluno is a passive kind of person, he initiated their morail relationship to protect him. Without this protection, Gravix (bad at lying) would have no hope of keeping the secret hidden until the 'right time'. - -

Juluno and Caiver (group's Mage of Time) work very closely to protect Gravix. Caiver does not know what the secret is (Juluno's primary abilities are 1. obscuring information/rendering it unknowable and 2. inexplicable awareness of others' secrets). They (Caiver) know only when the secret should be revealed and they instruct Juluno on how to help him stay disguised. It was Caiver who told Juluno that the time had come to move in with Gravix, whom they both already knew online. Juluno does have flushed feelings for them. Caiver does not know; they only know that and when he is going to tell them something personal. Neither side is able to act on this yet. - -

Jlarin and Lasven do hate each other—however, someone always has to go keep Lasven company during episodes. Sometimes, that's Jlarin. He says he's just "taking one for the team"... but really, he's had a vision of an alternate timeline where he doesn't go and Lasven ends up dead or permanently dissociated & no longer himself. Jlarin will not admit it, but he is terrified of losing his kismesis and more terrified of it being his own fault. What makes the possibility scarier is that the group really does like Lasven & they want him around. If he's gone (or "gone but still here"), they might cast Jlarin out for 'causing' it. - -

If not for Gravix being the social glue of their group, the above dynamic would not exist. He has certain traits/abilities that "override" hatred this strong. Without him, one of the outcomes in Jlarin's alternate timeline visions could come true in this time. - -

Jlarin's severe anxiety (a combination of regular old generalized anxiety + stress from visions) causes him to be afraid of... everything. Including the idea that trolls who don't like him might want to hurt him. (Note that he's not afraid of Lasven hurting him.) And Reltha, who is notoriously very intimidating, makes him feel much safer. Her anger and his nervousness balance each other out somehow, so they spend a good deal of time together, especially when he leaves his hive. They're not quite moirails, at least not yet. There's potential, but both of them have a lot of personal growth to get through first. (She's scary, yeah, but she's incredibly loyal; a long time ago, Jlarin saved her when [redacted; big serious thing; deserves its own post] and she wants to return the favor by scaring off anyone who gives him crap.) i don't know if there are or will be more quadrant happenings within this group (after all, Gravix has brought together a collection of trolls who otherwise wouldn't really know each other) (there will definitely be some new ones once the two groups/teams integrate, though) if you read this whole long ass post, comment "beans" or something lmao thanks to @pletzelstein for post idea

☀️ She's an X-Files superfan and will spend months hunting down rare merch. Also known to commission lots of Mulder/Scully shipping art. If something is too expensive, she'll ask for it from as a wriggling day present from suspiciously wealthy Gravix. - -

☀️ Computer prankster with a juvenile sense of humor. Writes her own joke viruses that do things like renaming someone's important files to "80085", "sinep", etc. Or crafting the most annoying trojans possible just for laughs. - -

☀️ Got Lasven into the X-Files when she went to check on him during one of his episodes. They still binge watch it together sometimes. - -

☀️ She's a monsterfucker with an ever-expanding, increasingly ridiculous "hear me out" list. - -

☀️Calls Gravix "fishbro" and Juluno "fishbro's landbro". Says the whole "-bro" thing comes from a magical place called 4chan. - -
