I don’t remember if it was maintained why reader didn’t have kids with her husband but what if Izechiel‘s darling had a kid with her husband? how would he treat the child?
Mostly because reader's husband was too busy out working, drinking, and philandering to get her pregnant, but if by some happenstance you had a kid, Izechiel and the imps would have very different reactions.
First and foremost, your child would likely be a baby, or a pretty young toddler. Izechiel... would not be delicate about the fact that he had an extra power over you. He's not above frequently holding baby in a precarious way if you're acting out, or giving you a reminder that he could hurt you through baby.
Of course, we've established he enjoys the power play, but he's not necessarily sadistic. He'd likely never hurt your kiddo, not really. Though he'd also not place himself in charge of caring for them initially. You're his housewife, watch your kid. He would linger during feedings and diaper changes, or attempt to dress baby once. The little one would end up with an inside out, upside down onesie, but at least he's trying?
As time goes on, he'd begin to ham it up. When he learned that humans come up to parents with comments about how cute there baby is, or how lovely your family looks, he gets 100% worse in his little role play fantasy. He'd buy a 'number one dad' mug, and dress when you go the park as some sort of caricature of a t-ball coach dad.
Waking in a cold sweat, you realize you haven't woken up once in several hours. You've admittedly become overly paranoid about your babies safety, getting up every few hours to check on your little one even if they aren't crying out. Grabbing up your slippers, you rush to the nursery, paling when you see a lanky figure, pearly grin like an anglerfish's lure, holding the little one while sitting in the cozy rocking chair. Baby is cooing, trying to grab at his stubby horns.
"Relax," he doesn't even look up, he's always hyper aware of when you're panicked, like a wolf sensing it's preys terror. "Got tired of you getting up every hour and depriving me of the enjoyment I get watching you sleep. Figured I'd come in here and do thie myself." He snickers. "Can't say I get what all the fuss is. I mean, it just wiggles and drools." He chuckles.
"My baby is not an 'it'!" You huff, going to try and take your bundle of joy from your tormentor. He puts a hand up warningly, giving you a stern glare. "Nah. I want you on your a-game, you've been tired and lacking behind lately. Still got a stain on my tie from last week, which i had assumed my lovely wife would get out by now. Leave baby with me, you're working yourself up over nothing-"
"Izechiel, please, I just-"
He puts his hand up, and you feel the words literally taken from your mouth. No sound comes out. You hate when he uses his powers like this. "Stop it. Baby is gonna be fine. I promise. I'm not gonna hurt your little one." His voice is a bit softer now, still a demand and not a request, but one clearly born from something mirroring concern. "Just go lay down. We'll be fine here."
Reluctantly, you slink to bed.
The imps really like having the baby around, as much as they understand liking something. However, it isn't wise to leave them with your little one. They can be very good boys, but they have no understanding of mortality or the need to be gentle. They eat batteries and bust skulls. They would never want to hurt baby, they just don't understand what 'not hurting' entails. It's like teaching a kid to be gentle when petting a dog, but with demons hundreds of years old and stronger than any mortal.
Because they can't be left alone with the baby, and a sitter is out the question given the boys quirks, anytime Izechiel takes you out, baby comes with.
The red-haired boy is protective of the baby. He's the eldest, you assume, and seems to be grasping human thinks the quickest. If the boys being to loud makes the little human cry, he'll smack his brothers to get them to quiet down. If the baby is in a happy mood, he'll smack his brothers to make them laugh. Most of how he understands connecting with baby is by hitting his brothers.
The brown haired boy loooooooves baby. He's the calmest, and the most gentle. He likes to just be around, like a dog. He'll watch your little one for hours on end, sitting beside them on the couch, or watching them try to stack blocks. He doesn't always understand why they don't do more 'human' stuff like you, like cooking or reading. You'll have to explain that's just not possible at this stage in babies development. He's one of the ones you can trust just to hold your little one, with supervision. He'll pet the top of babies head like a cat, and tremble with excitement anytime baby pets him back.
Lastly, something you never could have expected, the curly, dark haired one, is very jealous of your baby. He already went about destroying photos of your husband, and he's the most outwardly affectionate and most eager to be pampered. You should have expected this, but of course you had other concerns on your mind. He won't ever truly hurt your baby, at the risk of angering his master or upsetting you, but he'll pick on them like and older sibling. Steal their binky, flick there head, purposely turn up the tv too loud. Izechiel has been too busy to notice, or maybe he finds it amusing, but the red haired boy doesn't. Expect more frequent fights between them, while the brown haired one just happily watches your little one chew their own fist. Much to your chagrin, he tries copying, to see what the appeal is.
"Get your hand out of your mouth, no-"
