Scalextric Forum Christmas Competition
Last week over on the Scalextric Forum, the Christmas Competition came to a close. Forum members were asked to to write their favourite Christmas memory in no more that 50 words.
There were hundreds of entries with thousands of people viewing the discussion and these are the short list of the winners. What are your favourite Christmas Scalextric memories?

Nothing compares to that first time, as others have said. Mine was with a Mighty Metro box set. My Dad, Uncle and I were excused from other duties and crammed into the tiny floorspace of my bedroom. We all became the same age instantly. Perfect Christmas family moment

Christmas 1980 received my first set, banked curves you slid off, chicane that saw mighty crashes! My mate also got a set, we soon got together! It was the best day! I've kept my love ever since and made sure my children experienced that same thrill as I did.

My favourite memory is Scalextric is of my Dad playing it in our attic when I was a little girl. I remember all the excitement and him laughing so loudly. I can almost smell the attic again just remembering that thought. Happy days.
