Perfect timing considering I started sketching a 50yo Abel last week to fight artblock lol (will I ever finish it, that's another matter)

But for the hair and beard I kinda see it. I don't think his older self would bother with long hair anymore, and I think he'd look great with short gray curls and a fuller beard.

Feeding the Crows, part 1 I thought of this phrase, which then made me think of the wonderful Crow Rooks that exist on this site, and I wanted to make a few doodles. Starting with, @scalycat's Abel de Riva! Love a guy that will challenge me drawing wise, facial hair has always been the bane of my existence and all these Crows have something growing on their face! I picked this pose because I can just see my Rook hearing him say something very sad and her being unable to stop herself from giving him a hug. Abel is either into it or not. XD I haven't decided if I'll color these...or give them backgrounds. I just got sooo excited at the idea of it. We shall see how much steam I have after the next two Crows. XD Toodaloo!

Hello! Is Abel’s name pronounced “a-bell” or “ah-bell”? I feel like the latter is the more antivan way but I’m not sure what you intended so I thought I’d request clarification:)

Also I was wondering how would Abel react to a Rook or other companion who was a blood mage? Especially companion!Abel after he was tortured?

Hey !! I call him "Ah-bell", but maybe in english it’s pronounced "a-bell" so… Whichever sounds the prettiest to your ears ? Haha

And his opinion on blood magic depends entirely on the person using it.

In the Companion AU, Rook saved his life and is trying to save the world. He doesn’t need to know much more than that.

On the other hand, he doesn’t like Solas, so he’ll gladly give him a hard time for using blood magic. He’s a bit of a hypocrite in that regard.

In general, he sees all forms of magic as tools that he doesn’t fully understand, but tools nonetheless. What kills isn’t the dagger, but the person wielding it. As far as he’s concerned, blood magic is no different.

That being said, he gets a mean headache whenever he’s too close to someone using it. So while he’d trust Rook with it, he’d probably keep a few paces away whenever it’s being casted. At least until he got used to it.

And despite that Abel is SO out of my league that drawing him still feels like a crime to me but I couldn’t resist ❤️‍🔥
