Morning, everyone! I just woke up a bit early, so I'll have even more time to spend online today! I'll probably start working on the second batch of characters now, but I'd really love to get some applications for our open characters while I do that.

Alright, well it's official! I'll be adding six more characters, but these ones will be coming in from Los Angeles rather than New York City! At the moment, I'm thinking of using Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez, Nina Dobrev, Jack Harries, Avan Jogia and Austin Butler as faceclaims, but if you have any objections or suggestions, just come to the ask and don't hesitate to tell me about them!

There are no set sexualities, love! It’s all up to the players, so I can’t tell you whether people will make their characters LGBTQA or not. However, I can tell you that in the upcoming batch of characters, one of them will have been “caught” with someone of the same gender, and I am personally going to make my character bisexual.

I think that it could be really, really interesting to read about one of the times Avery went abroad to do some extreme activities, and what kind of traveller she was.
You could write about how she felt whenever she stole, and the fear she felt about being caught. It’d also be interesting to write about how satisfied she felt when she wasn’t caught, and how she reacted when someone finally caught her being a thief.
It’d also be really interesting for me to read about how she felt when her reputation was tarnished for the first time in her life after everyone learned about her stealing. She fell from quite high up, and therefore, I think that it could end up being a really interesting subject for you to write about.

I think that it could be really interesting for you to write about one of her numerous one night stands, and what was going through her mind at the time. Talking about the following morning could be very interesting too!
You could write about her pregnancy, and how she felt when she first found out about it. You could also talk about how she felt after she got an abortion, or even about how she feels whenever she sees a mother walking on the street with a baby in a pram.
I think that it’d be really interesting to write about how she feels about the fact that she never told Nathan that the baby was his, and what led her to taking the decision of not telling him.

Avery was an only child, and although her parents weren't that present in her life, they always made sure that she got everything she could ever want or need. The word "no" wasn't part of the girl's vocabulary, and it showed in the way she interacted with the rest of the world. Arguing with her about something she was passionate about was pretty much impossible, and because of that, people liked to say she'd make a great lawyer even when she was still a child. She found it flattering, having always dreamt of becoming successful one day, of making a career out of being smart and obstinate. Linking all of her knowledge together was her strength, and something that the girl always prided herself in. The blonde knew what she wanted and where she was headed, and only a fool would try to stand in her way. The girl wasn't exactly known for her empathy, and she would never hesitate to fight to get what she wanted. She wasn't close to many people because of that, but she could never really bring herself to care as she was extremely picky when it came to friends anyway. People knew not to mess with her, and that was what mattered the most to the girl.
At one point, though, Avery's life got a bit too boring to her taste, and she started looking for something more. For something that could make her feel alive, something that could make her feel even stronger. She wanted something that mattered, and she wanted it bad. The girl started experimenting with different things, and after a while she became a bit of an adrenaline junkie. It seemed like she was constantly looking for a rush, and she tried not to do the same thing too often. She started using her parents' money for things she had once thought as useless, and she couldn't even say that it bothered her in the least. She turned into some kind of dare devil, and it wasn't rare for her to get on a private jet and leave for a couple of days, whether it was to go sky-diving in New-Zealand, bungee jumping in Brazil, lion sighting in South Africa, parachuting in France, or something else just as intense, just as scary. She loved the feeling she felt when she did those things, loved the way she felt like she realized she was still alive, and was always looking for new ways to feel that way.

Because of university, though, the girl didn't have much time to leave and travel to feel that rush that she craved. Therefore, Avery had to find a way to feel alive in New York so that she wouldn't get bored, so that she could feel alive. It took her a while, but she finally found the one thing that got her that feeling she had been looking for. Stealing. Going into a store with nothing and coming back with things she hadn't paid gave her a rush that she hadn't felt in her hometown before. It was scary, nerve wracking, and nothing compared to the way she felt when she didn't get caught. It made her feel strong, invincible, and her overconfidence might have been what led to her getting caught. When that happened, she felt like her entire world crumbled down. It had been a small thing, only a lip gloss at Chanel, but someone caught her, and that was it. Luckily enough, with her parents' money she avoided getting a police record, but since the tabloids got wind of it, it didn't take long for everyone to know. It tarnished her reputation, probably meant that she could never become the top lawyer she had always dreamt of becoming, and it made her feel completely lost. A bit like she didn't know where she was going anymore.

↪ CHASE RICHARDSON: Chase and Avery's parents were best friends, and the two have been spending all their summers together on vacation with their families since they were toddlers. They got along well, considered each other as cousins, but that changed during high school. Chase got a crush on the girl, and wasn't exactly subtle about it. Avery wasn't sure how to react, seeing the boy as a kid, so she didn't take long to reject him. She realized she might have been a bit harsh about it when he started distancing himself from her afterwards, but luckily enough that didn't last for long. As soon as he got his first girlfriend, he stopped being so distant, and Avery couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief at that. She felt like she could be herself around the boy since they had always known each other, and she didn't want to lose him only because she wasn't interested in him romantically. However, he still didn't act as close to her as he used to, and she couldn't help but feel a bit insulted at that. Their friendship looked good, it looked like they got along smoothly, but truly they were both insulted by each other's rejection, and it isn't rare for them to throw subtle jabs at each other.
↪ LESLIE TURNER: Leslie was Avery's best friend's younger sister, and the older girl always saw the girl as a pest. The blonde didn't like the vibes she got of the younger girl even when they first met when the older was only seven years old, and she never tried to hide her dislike for the younger girl. Everyone was well aware of it, except for, of course, Leslie. No matter how often Avery threw snide remarks at her or sent her far from nice looks, the younger girl still seemed to look up to her, something that completely escaped the blonde's understanding. She guessed that since she was Nathan's best friend and that the boy's little sister looked up to him, it was normal that she'd also look up to his best friend, but the older girl really wasn't a fan of that. It made her feel a bit guilty about being such a bitch to the girl, and guilt was something that Avery had never been really comfortable with. Luckily enough, she kind of forgot about it all when Leslie left for boarding school, but that didn't last for long. However, when the other girl came back, Avery mostly felt pity for her. She kind of saw herself in the younger girl, in the way she seemed to be looking for something more, and wished she could have helped the girl. She was her best friend's baby sister after all, and she had known her for most of her life.
↪ NATHAN TURNER: Nathan and Avery became friends in their first year of elementary school. It started out with a row over a red crayon that they've long forgotten about since then, and they've been best friends since then. At first it was like it was with most children with the whole "I'll be your friend if you'll be my friend" thing, but it seemed to work since they're just as close now as they were back then, if not even more. They're always there for each other, never ever judge each other for who they are or what they do, and also aren't scared to ever call the other out on their bullshit. It wasn't rare for them to get into huge fights with one another, rowing like it was their job, but it never lasted for long. Everything was always forgotten after a couple of days or even less, and they always went back to each other. They knew the other better than they knew themselves, and can't even imagine their life without their best friend. Avery knows that she's one of the few people Nathan would never kick out of his life, even if she hurt his reputation, and although she'd never admit it, she's extremely thankful for that. She can't help but mock him for what happened with his teacher, though that doesn't mean that she wouldn't defend him against anyone who'd try to give him grief for it.
↪ OLIVIA STONE: Olivia was younger than Avery, and since their family weren't close to each other, they never really got the chance to talk and to become close. However, when Olivia started hanging out with Nathan, Avery's best friends, the two girls got the chance to know each other. Although they were different, the two realized that they had a couple of important things in common, and that they could understand each other in a way very few could. Olivia looked up to the older girl, and Avery was well aware of that. However, Avery also looked up to the other girl. She admired the younger's way of dealing with things, admired how sweet and seemingly innocent she was, and sometimes she wished she could have been that way too. She was well aware of Olivia's little night adventures, but she never judged her for it, just like she didn't judge her when she got pregnant. Avery stayed by her side through the whole thing, supporting her when she got an abortion and defending her against the people who tried to insult her, and she was the only one who knew that Nathan was Olivia's baby's father. She never said anything to the boy, though, respecting Olivia's wish for secrecy and understanding that it could really screw things up.
↪ BENTLEY MCDOWELL: Bentley and Avery have been going to the same soirées and other events of the sort since they were little, their parents being partners in the company they owned. The two often had to take pictures with the rest of their families together, and both always had to do their best to look proper during those moments. Although they weren't close friends, Avery kind of saw Bentley as the annoying little brother she never had, while he saw her a bit like the older sister he never had. The two tend to bicker a lot and aren't scared to give each other their honest opinion while still caring about each other, a bit like most real siblings do. The blonde can't help but find funny the way Bentley's a bit protective of her, seeing him as a kid even after all this time. On her side, she's quite protective of the boy, and can't help but be worried about him. She wished she could just punch the people who are trying to ruin his life, but as he's the one doing so, she's not sure what she can do. She does her best to help him, trying to subtly tell him that maybe he should consider doing things differently, but she isn't sure if that's enough.

Bentley was his parents' oldest child, but that never really changed anything in his life. Although he was extremely close to his mother and father, he never cared much for his younger siblings, and always did his best to ignore or even avoid them. No one ever really called him out on it, and his life went along quite smoothly for a while. Although he was spoiled beyond belief, the boy wasn't a brat, much to his parents' relief. He was a sweet kid, or at least so said everyone who met him, but that changed when his parents got a divorce when the boy was around eleven years old. To him, it came out of nowhere, and it made him feel like his entire world was crumbling down. For a little while, things weren't so bad, but that changed as soon as his mom moved to London with her new husband. He felt like he had been abandoned, felt like he never meant anything to the woman who had raised him and whom he had looked up to during all of his life, and it just became too much for him. Being the sweet little boy that he once was didn't even seem like an option for him, and he wanted to make his parents pay. Pay for what they had put him through.
It didn't take that long for the boy to take a turn for the worst. He started fighting against all kinds of authority, whether it came from his parents, his teachers, or even from the law, and creating trouble started being something that came naturally to him. Not only that, but long gone was the sweet boy, and in came the asshole. Being nice wasn't something he put any effort in anymore, and he started finding some kind of sick pleasure in hurting others. For a while, he was known as a bully at the prestigious school he went to, but strangely enough that stopped after a couple of years. It didn't make sense to anyone, until one day they realized that he had started hanging out with some of the worst people in the area, those who had to do with drug dealing, prostitution, and all other things like that. Most tried to just brush it away, saying that it was just a phase and that he'd distance himself from these people as soon as it would become too intense, but that never happened. The boy gave the "bad people" an entryway to the world of the city's richest, and he didn't want to stop doing so. He felt accomplished when he saw the look of disappointment on his parents' face, and putting an end to that would be like defeat to him.

When he started dealing, Bentley thought that he was being subtle about it. He knew that it could possibly affect his future, so he made sure not to be too show-offish about it. Yes, he wanted to piss his parents off, but that didn't mean that he wanted to ruin his entire life. Therefore, he only started dealing for a few clients at first, people that he had known through school or circles of friends — people who had money. After a while, though, the boy got bored of it. He didn't get a thrill out of it anymore, so he decided that he needed to step things up a bit. He started selling to more and more people, and unlike before, he didn't feel any guilt anymore when he helped addicted people get what they craved. He put himself in a mindset in which everything could be blamed on others instead of him, and managed to still be happy with what he was doing. However, that changed when he was arrested, around a week after two people he sold to had overdoses. It was the first time something like that happened to him, and he couldn't even find it in himself to fight against it. At brief times, it started being possible to see small glimpses of the sweet boy he used to be, and that might have been why his parents didn't hesitate for a second before paying his caution so that he wouldn't be in too much trouble.

↪ LESLIE TURNER: Although Leslie and Bentley were friends in high school at one point, they were never extremely close. The two kind of lost touch with each other when the girl left for boarding school, and didn't talk at all for almost a year. However, when she came back, they suddenly started spending a lot of time together. The boy needed a party partner, someone to take the eyes off him when he was dealing, and Leslie was perfect for that. He kind of used her, but at the same time he knew that she was doing the same. After all, he was the one who got her all the drugs and alcohol she wanted, the one who got her into some of the city's most prestigious club, and even the one who often finished the night with her when neither of them could find someone attractive enough. Once again, they weren't exactly close as they only ever really hung out when they were wasted out of their minds or as high as the Empire State Building, but they still kind of felt like they owed each other, like even though they weren't close, they were still friends. When Leslie overdosed, Bentley couldn't help but feel guilty, feeling he was responsible for what happened as he was the one who had sold her the drugs.
↪ OLIVIA STONE: Bentley and Olivia had never gotten along, even before the boy turned into what he is today. From a young age, they simply couldn't stand each other, but neither of them could really explain why. They simply disliked each other, and it was as simple as that. Things got tense when they were in a room together, but no one ever seemed to be able to do something about it. The two didn't even fight. They simply glared or rolled their eyes, doing their best to avoid each other as much as they could. Bentley knows that, after he was arrested, Olivia started disliking him even more. The girl had always been crystal clear on what she thought about drugs and other things of the sort, and since she already wasn't a fan of Bentley, it was clear what her reaction would be like. She started avoiding him even more than before, which was already a lot, something that didn't surprise the curly-haired boy a lot. He knew that she was probably the only one who'd really tell him the "real" things that would hurt, though, so he was kind of glad for it. He had never been good at dealing with critic, especially not from people he didn't like either.
↪ CHASE RICHARDSON: When they were little, Bentley and Chase absolutely hated each other. They were always fighting, often even physically, and it even forced the elementary school they both went to to put them in separate classes. The two boys simply couldn't get along, and well, at one point the adults around them got tired of it. Things stayed that way for a while, until the two started talking at just another boring soirée they had been dragged to by their parents. They realized that they were both just as bored, and came to the conclusion that they had quite a lot in common. The boys were only fourteen at that time, and since then started hanging out more and more often. After a while, they even became best friends, something that confused more than a few. They seemingly went from enemies to brothers, and no one apart from them really understood why. The two boys didn't care much for others' opinions, though, and are still as close now as one they officially started considering themselves as each other's best friends. Bentley knows that Chase is worried about him because of everything that's happening, and although it kind of hurts him that his best friend has so little trust in him he does his best not to show it, acting like everything's fine.
↪ AVERY BIRKS: Avery and Bentley often ended up at the same events, their parents being partners in the company they owned. He can't help but find her a bit intimidating, especially since they've gotten a bit distant since they both were arrested for very different reasons.
↪ NATHAN TURNER: When they were younger, Nathan used to think that Bentley was a good thing and that he wouldn't just be another trust fund brat who'd end up on the cover page of every tabloid. The older boy kind of took him under his wing, and the younger couldn't help but look up to him, flattered that someone like Nathan would even pay attention to him. He was on top of the social ladder, and usually those people didn't care about people like the curly-haired boy. That lasted for a while, but it quickly changed when Bentley started rebelling. Nathan had never felt that disappointed before then, and he didn't take long to abandon his protégé. He couldn't help but feel guilty doing so, but he felt like he had more important things to worry about. That hurt Bentley, although he would never admit it to anyone, and he's kind of resented the older boy since then. He tried to find ways to get back at him a couple of times, and hopes that he'll find the best one soon. Although they've talked a couple of times since the arrest, the younger boy feels like Nathan sees him as a stranger now, and he's not okay with that at all.

Olivia grew up in one of the area's most open-minded families, and she was raised not to ever judge others before knowing them. The girl had tons of reasons to be arrogant, to think that she was better than everyone else, but she still never looked down on anyone. To her, everyone was equal, and she made it her duty to help those who didn't have it as good and easy as she did, something that made her parents extremely proud. She was their oldest child, and they simply couldn't believe what a great exemple she was setting for her younger siblings. The girl always did her homework, got the highest grades of her classes, did volunteer work at least once a year, and was never the cause of any problem. Family was always her top priority, and she was extremely protective of those she cared about, even if they were only her friends and not one of her siblings. She was always determined to do the best she could, be the best she could possibly be, and although it sometimes ended up bringing out an uglier, more competitive, side of her, it mostly made those around her admire her for it.
As she grew older, the brunette didn't change much. Although, maturing made her realize just how important hers and her family's reputation was, and she started working even harder to make sure that it wouldn't be tarnished. Olivia might even have gone a bit too far because of how much it mattered to her, and she lost more than one friend over it. Of course, that hurt her, but the teenager simply couldn't seem to find another way to make things right, and her narrow mind might even have been what led to her downfall. She started getting lonelier and lonelier, and at one point she started relying on the wrong people. The girl started to find it harder and harder to be happy, and it didn't take her long to realize that she only ever really felt joy when there was a warm body pressed against hers. It was the only time she ever managed to forget about everything, managed to let herself go, and it started happening more and more often. However, her reputation was still key to her, and she always managed to hide her nightly adventures from the tabloids and the gossip websites. Whether she was spending the night with a boy or a girl, she'd work just as hard to hide it. The last thing she wanted was for her parents to find out and judge her, after all.

Everything changed after a special night with someone she had known for almost all of her life, though. They had been completely wasted when they had hooked up, and although the girl had difficulty remembering exactly what happened, it was clear in her mind that it was what had led to the situation that completely turned her life around. Weeks after the incident, Olivia realized that she hadn't had her period in a while, and after putting two and two together, she finally caught on to what was happening with her still young body. After telling her mother, whom she always relied on when things got too hard, she went to a doctor, and it was confirmed that she was pregnant. The brunette was absolutely devastated, not only because she was far from ready to be a mother, but also because of how much that would hurt her reputation. Although it was one of the hardest decisions of her life, one that she still thought about every time she was left alone with herself, she ended up getting an abortion in the most secretive way as possible. However, things weren't always that easy, and the tabloids ended up finding out about it. As soon as they made an article about it, everyone knew what had happened to her, and the girl had truly never felt as vulnerable before in her life. However, she still put on a strong facade, not wanting for anyone to think of her as weak.

She knew that she tended to annoy him for a reason that was completely unknown to her, but he still seemed to appreciate her, something that completely confused the girl. However, she had to admit that she quite enjoyed hanging around the other boy, and therefore she never really brought it up, opting for being confused over losing someone that she considered a friend. They weren't that close, but every time they hung out together, she felt happy. She felt calm, accepted, and wasn't scared of being herself in front of the boy. Of course, she far from agreed with the way he was rebelling against his parents, but she couldn't help but admire how he used his intelligence rather than provocation to make his point go across. When the whole scandal about her abortion got out, he was one of the few who stood by her and never hesitated to defend her, and although it made her feel uncomfortable at times, she couldn't help but appreciate it. She felt like the boy would never judge her unless she hurt him, and she planned on doing her best to keep it that way.
↪ LESLIE TURNER: Leslie and Olivia became friends in nursery school on the blue-eyed girl's first day, as the brunette defended her from a little boy who tried to steal her favourite pacifier away. A strong bond was immediately created between the two girls, and it stayed that way for a very long time. Although they were completely different, the two were as close as best friends could possibly be, and knew each other almost better than they knew themselves. However, things changed when Leslie started piling up scandal after scandal. Olivia tried to help her friend for a while, but with her parents disapproving of her best friend and her own reputation still being the most important thing in her life, the brunette ended up distancing herself from Leslie. Of course, she felt guilty about it, though, and even from afar she tried to keep on getting news from how the other girl was doing, even though she wouldn't have admitted it to anyone. After her friend's overdose, the other girl didn't even want to see her, and that's when Olivia realized that maybe she had gone a bit too far. On top of that, the fact that Leslie never even tried to defend her when everyone talked badly about her because of her abortion only helped to confirm the fact that their relationship was broken, and that it'd be hard to build it up again.
↪ NATHAN TURNER: Nathan was Olivia's best friend's older brother, and she started getting a crush on him the first time they met when he played a prank on his sister and her. It took a while before she finally got to know him well, but as soon as she did, she realized how much she had in common with him. Things were a bit weird between them as she was his younger sister's best friend, but they still managed to get closer and closer, and even started hanging out when Leslie left for boarding school. Even though Olivia was younger, she got along with Nathan extremely well, and felt like she could relate to him in a way she couldn't with anyone else. At times, the boy's personality came off a bit too strong to the girl, but she still stuck around, unable to let go of the crush she had on the boy since she was still a kid. At one point, however, they got a bit too close at a party, and ended up hooking up. Since they were both wasted, memories of that night are a bit hazy to both of them, but the girl is still certain that he was the father of the baby she aborted. She never told him, though, hoping that he had forgotten about that night or at least wouldn't make the connection. They're still friends now, but Olivia can't help but feel guilty about having hid something so big from the older boy.
↪ AVERY BIRKS: Avery was older than Olivia, and they were never especially close. However, when the brunette started hanging out with Nathan, who was Avery's best friend, more and more often, the two girls started getting to know each other. They might have been a bit different, but they still understood where the other was coming from, and honesty was definitely not a problem between the two. Olivia really admired the older girl's capacity to deal with problems, and wished that she was as strong as she thought the blonde was. When the whole abortion scandal came out, Avery was always by Olivia's side, protecting her against all those awful things people said to or about her. She supported the younger girl in what she did, gave her a shoulder to lean on whenever she needed it, and she was the only one who knew that the baby's dad was Nathan. However, she kept it a secret to Olivia's wish, and the younger girl gained even more respect for her because of that. She felt like Avery understood people and what they went through in a way that very few managed to, and she was dead set on getting her to explain to her how she did it.
↪ BENTLEY MCDOWELL: Bentley and Olivia never got along, even before Bentley took a turn for the worst. The two had difficulty explaining why, but they simply couldn't stand each other. Whenever they were in a room together, things got tense, and no one seemed to be able to do anything about it. They didn't even fight. They simply disliked each other for reasons that they couldn't explain. After a while, the two of them even tried to stop understanding it, and that was probably for the best. As they grew older, things got better and better, but they still never exactly appreciated each other's presence, although they both learned to be more polite. However, things turned bad again after Bentley was arrested for dealing. Olivia had absolutely no patience for people who helped addicts — whom she mostly pitied — get the things that could end up killing them, and it disgusted her to think that someone she knew was doing so. Whenever they were at events or soirées together she did her best to avoid him, only ever paying attention to him when she knew that someone was watching. She absolutely dreads having to spend more time with him than necessary, fearing that she might end up telling him what she really thinks of him as she knows that it'd be far from pretty.

The second oldest son of the Turner family had always been the perfect "golden boy". As his high school's valedictorian, the country's best colleges and universities were practically fighting over him during his senior year. Topped with his family's reputation, the boy never had to worry much about getting in wherever he wanted to go. Still, he decided to stay in New York City, not wanting to stray too far away from his family. He knew that his parents relied on him a lot for events and public appearances, and therefore he didn't want to disappoint them. Nathan got into Columbia University's law program with no problems, and quickly became familiar with the place. The social skills he had learned from his parents became extremely useful to him, and he made sure to introduce himself to all of his teachers, knowing that it could only lead to positive things. And it did. He was appreciated by all of his professors, and even other students liked him. Although he still wanted to be the best, he started learning that team work could really benefit him, and it became common for him to study with and help his classmates, something that he wouldn't have even thought of doing when he was still in high school. He had truly grown up, and the university kind of became like a second home to him.

↪ LESLIE TURNER: When they were younger, Nathan was the one of his siblings who got along the best with Leslie. She was the closest to him in age with only a three years gap, and although she often got on his nerves by following him around, he couldn't help but be flattered by the admiration she had for him. He might have yelled at her and rolled his eyes at what she did a lot when they were little, but he was still extremely protective of her, and would have ruined anyone who tried to hurt her. However, when their younger sister was born when he was thirteen, and Leslie took a turn for the worst since the family's attention wasn't constantly on her anymore, Nathan couldn't help but distance himself from the younger sister he had once been overprotective of. He was disgusted by her attitude, and didn't take long to let the world know that he wanted nothing to do with her anymore. She had tarnished the family's reputation, and that was something he deeply cared about. He avoided her for years, except for when he felt like telling her what he really thought, and since her overdose he hasn't really known how to approach her. He feels like he could have done something to prevent it, done something so that the family's reputation wouldn't have suffered so much, and although he'd never admit it, he can't but be a bit worried about the sister whom he disowned a couple of years ago.
↪ OLIVIA STONE: Olivia was the only one out of all of his younger sister's friends that Nathan ever managed to stand. She was a lot like him, something that surprised him since she was Leslie's best friend, and he always enjoyed it when she came along with the Turner family for events or even on vacation. The girl was a breath of fresh hair amongst all the trust fund brats he was used to, and although she was younger, Nathan felt like he could connect to her in a way that he couldn't with many people. For a long while, they weren't exactly friends as that might have been a bit weird, but as they grew older and Olivia kept on going over to the Turners' place even when Leslie was gone, they became closer and closer. The boy was well aware of the girl's crush on him, but never thought much about it, thinking that it would have been wrong. However, he wasn't exactly just as thoughtful when he was wasted, and the two made the mistake of going to a New Year's party together just after Olivia had turned 18 the day before. They hooked up, something that Nathan has vague memories of, and they somehow managed to stay friends afterwards. When the girl got an abortion that was way too highly publicized, he didn't think twice about the fact that it might have been his baby, but still gave her all his support. If he had actually stopped and thought about it he would have most likely realized that it was his baby, but Nathan subconsciously ignored his rational side as he didn't want to have to deal with that type of feelings.
↪ CHASE RICHARDSON: Nathan was well aware of how he intimidated Chase when the two boys were younger, and he couldn't help but use that to his advantage at some points. After all, there had to be some advantages to being the most successful and most popular student at their prestigious school. The older boy knew of the influence he had and he wasn't scared to use it. However, he couldn't help but be taken aback when they grew up, and the other boy seemed to questions his status. They were in the same soccer team, of which Nathan was the captain of course, and he was more than frustrated by the dark haired boy's tendency to fight him over almost everything. He was questioning his authority, and the blue-eyed boy wasn't going to stand for it. He got Chase kicked out of the team, something that he may have felt a bit guilty about since he wasn't that bad of a player, and turned quite a lot of players against the boy. Now, he's kind of forgotten about all of that, but things are still a bit tense whenever the boys meet at soirées or other events. The two have never really talked, and that means that they don't know that they have a lot more in common than they'd like to think. A lot of people might have already told them that, but they never really managed to take them seriously, especially not Nathan.
↪ AVERY BIRKS: Avery and Nathan were best friends, and it was as simple as that. They first met in their first year of elementary school, and after getting in a row about a red crayon they've long forgotten about since then, they became friends. Like it happened often at that age, it was more of a "I'll be your friend if you'll be my friend" thing, but it seemed to work since they've been best friends since then. They've always been there for each other, never judged the other for who they were or what they were doing, but still weren't scared to call each other out on their bullshit. They were known to get into big fights and rows with each other, but they always seemed to forget about it in a matter of days, even less than that sometimes. The two went through almost everything together, and knew each other better than the back of their own hands. Avery was one of the only people Nathan would never ever kick out of his life, even if she were to hurt his reputation. He always felt extremely protective of the girl, even though he knew she didn't need it, and he simply couldn't help it. If you messed with her, you'd definitely have to deal with the blue-eyed boy.

However, as they grew older, it seemed like the curly-haired boy did his best to prove the older one wrong. Once Bentley started dealing, Nathan couldn't help but feel disappointed, having actually started to "give a shit" about the kid. They had talked a couple of times during events, and he felt like the boy was going to be someone, and wouldn't just be on the front page of every tabloid with no real content about himself. That was why it bothered him so much when the younger started getting caught dealing, started getting caught doing far from legal things, and for a while he even considered helping him. However, that didn't last for long. Nathan wasn't one to stand for anyone's bullshit, and as patient wasn't exactly something he knew well, he ended up quickly losing his patience with his "protégé". In a way, he kind of feels bad about it, but at the same time he feels like he has some more important things to worry about, like his own reputation.
