Today is the 8th of October. Yes the 31 days of frights are still happening. No I am not announcing each one. If you can’t tell what crimes are father and I THATS your fault for being morons.

And just a hint. No the exploding pumpkin patch that released a gas that turned people into zombies was NOT Calander Man. I’m tired of that buffoon trying to steal credit

In other news. On the 8th Day of Fright all the hospitals will be filled with spiders.

While you are out and about Gotham you spy a familiar face. Which is a problem. It seems that Barnaby is out and about in a normal outfit, jeans and a hoodie. He’s not wearing his mask. His face is bare for all to see scars and all

Perhaps stranger still. He seems to be in the park with a bag of nuts feeding the squirrels

Returning home after being a minor inconvenience to the citizens of Gotham, Autumn was still in her full scarecrow getup. Her hair was freshly dyed too, black on one side and her natural orange on the other, spit evenly down the middle.

She had to do a double take once she saw Barnaby, almost convinced she was seeing things. But no, it was most certainly him.

She ran over in a slight panic and disbelief

"Barnaby?? Where have you been? Are you-" She went to put a hand on his shoulder, but hesitated. "Wheres your mask?"

Edgar looked up instantly. Glaring at the girl he never met. His eyes were colder. Colder then she’d ever seen. Not that she’d ever seen his eyes very often.

He stood up to his full height and looked down at her

“Do I know you? What mask?”

Autumn took a few steps back...if this were a prank, it wasn't something Barnaby would ever agree to in a million years.

"Its- me, Autumn. Your...sister?"

She gave a nervous smile and played with the bow that sat at the collar of her orange and black clad costume. She was trying to rationalize this, but nothing she came up with made very much sense.

"Did something happen? Like...do you remember hitting your head? Falling?"

Barnaby sneered. An awful snarling motion with his mouth. Only intensified by the long hideous scars that extended his smile

“Sister? You must be confused. I like your name though. Autumn. My favorite season”

Autumn shifted uncomfortably, having a gut feeling of what had happened, but not knowing how to fix it or confront it. What does she say? What does she do?

"Well- its- an adoptive situation."

Autumn wracked her brain for something more to say, a lie to spin, or a way to word it so she wouldn't do something wrong and make it all worse.

She drew in a deep breath.

"Wheres your dad?"

“Father? What do you know about my father? Quite frankly. He’s busy. And it’s not any of your business stranger”

Interesting…. Then why did his most recent post talk about “catching up” on bonding with you?

Father was away for some time. He is a busy man. He always regrets when he must while his days away. He regrets that I can’t always accompany him

Artem nods, tears streaming down their face and holding back hiccuping sobs. They touch the mirror and with a flick of their wrist they ‘rewind’ the images within it to the start of the visions before passing it to Beau

The visions that artem saw were brutal. Barnaby being forced on a table. Strapped down like an animal. There were various images of the boy being injected with something. Something to keep him docile as he then convulsed. A target from an unseen foe. At several points Barnaby seemed to leak a black sunset from his eyes. A magical assault that happened numerous times. Each time he’d fight less

Also yeah very likely a lot of people might check on ya… Artem and Beau adopted a Lot of children including you, so yeah some of the ones that were closer to you are going to reach out and check on you when you’re acting weird as hell and being all buddy buddy with the man you swore to kill
