Moving back to Beacon Hills hasn’t been the easiest thing to do, sure Amelia returned to familiar faces, but being away for 3 years has left it’s marks. Everyone she knew had changed and so had she. With a small smile on her face she walked down the hall. Amelia practically felt like a stranger even though she knew every corner of Beacon Hills High. She had to reconnect with her old friends and make knew ones. She had missed Beacon Hills and her old friends even though she hadn’t done much of an effort to keep in contact. She wandered down the hall, caught up in her own thoughts. When she heard a familiar voice she stopped for a second. When she spotted him through the crowded mass of students, the smile on her face grew bigger. “God, I’ve missed you,” she said to herself, but loud enough for everyone near them to hear. “Hey Isaac,” she greeted him before walking towards him. She brushed a hand through her hair when she stopped right in front of him, insecure about if she should hug him or not.
Isaac hadn’t seen Amelia since she and her family had left Beacon Hills three years before, after the car accident. He’d known her since they were children and had been friends with her before high school, good friends. Things had changed, however, when his father had started taking out his grief and anger on him. Isaac had slowly pushed everyone away, afraid that they might discover the truth, and by the time high school had started, he’d been pretty much alone. Amelia was a reminder of a happier time that seemed so distant now, so unreal that he could barely believe the memories that seeing her stirred up. “Amelia,” he said, his expression turning into a smile when he caught her words, which honestly surprised him. “I had no idea you were back,” he admitted, his smile halfway between happy and surprised. Maybe this was a sign he was meant to come back to Beacon Hills.
