Basic and kinda... meh... but this is just a little something I made just now mainly as I was bored. Obviously not live without in the literal sense, but these things are things I “need” pretty much every day.

on the left you see me as I was when I was 16 (I can’t express enough how much I miss my long hair!) and on the right you see me as I am now at 19.  These are two of my better photos in the years they were taken. 

These two photos are taken at very different times in my life. The left was when I was my most suicidal, the right in the best year of my life yet. When I was 16 I hated my life and didn’t care if I was to live or not, now at 19 I’m looking forward to the future I will make with my fiance.

The only thing missing from these photos is my glasses, I wore/wear these two glasses:

I want to share something with you, not for sympathy but for proof that no matter what you went through you can always shine through. I was raised abused and mentally screwed up. I was very suicidal and was severely depressed. It came to a point where I didn’t give a damn about anything, I gave up on myself. I cracked, I just didn’t give a crap whether I lived or died. I ended up dropping out of A Levels two years ago because I couldn’t handle anything any more. GCSE had already screwed up what I wanted to take for A Level and of course there was no chance to try again.

I dropped out of A Levels due to a combination of being forced to take subjects I didn’t want to take (long story, too personal) and my mental health being too bad. I had come to a day where I had enough and I planned what I was going to do. I wrote a note, and wrote directions for myself to a cliff nearby, I was going to kill myself, and I wanted to make sure I did it so that no one could save me. I’m sorry if that makes you feel bad. I couldn’t deal with my life any more. But that very night, everything changed just as I was about to close up my laptop and “go to bed.”

I noticed I had a message on Twitter, I felt a pull to the guy, we started talking. I felt like I finally had someone in my life who cared and I quit my suicide plan. He was very sweet and cared a lot about me. We met up, I moved in with him. Now, two years later we are engaged and hope to get married sometime soon once finances are better. I am now teaching myself science and maths and looking at future options to take science courses. I am also thinking about setting up a photography/art site to help bring in money for myself.

I have faith in my future, I know I’ve got a life to live, I’m happy, I’ve got hope. I no longer want to kill myself, though depression still attacks me from time to time. I came through what I thought was impossible to come through, and here I am now, telling you that it’s going to be ok. I feared for my life every day growing up, everyday I woke up I thought it was going to be my last. Now, I wake up and think about tomorrow and what I can do today to make it better. I hope my short bit of life history helps someone else. I survived abuse and suicide attempts, I now have a future and a family. Trust me darling, you have the strength to pull through too.
