Deflection strategy based laser chess coming next month
Deflection Laser Chess turn-based strategy game is due to release in September on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative efforts of developer Coreffect Interactive. Their very first title is due on Steam. Deflection is a turn-based strategy board game. Since it takes the obvious inspiration from the classic Laser Chess games. And also the famous board game Khet. Destroy the enemy's king with your laser by moving and rotating mirrors. While tactically using the special abilities some pieces come with. Plus you can play against friends (local and online). Or if you want to practice against the AI. Likewise, you can create levels in the Level Editor. All due to arrive on September 14th. With a variety of pieces in Deflection, each has different advantages and abilities. So be sure to take an adventure of their weaknesses. While using the one move you have per turn to tactically bring yourself closer to victory. At the end of every turn, you must shoot your laser. So be careful not to hit one of your own pieces.
Deflection Laser Chess - Full Trailer (Linux, Mac, Windows PC)
Using your enemy's pieces can become a battle tactic in itself. Enemy mirrors, Disruptors even Portals etc. can be used to your advantage. In Deflection a single move can also change the course of the game. Most pieces can move in all directions by one cell and rotate 90 degrees. Advanced pieces such as the Disruptor can disable and weaken nearby pieces. While others such as the Splicer split your laser into two. Some pieces can be controlled by both players. Providing a new twist in your strategy. Plus there are portals you can use to surprise your opponent.
Features:
Local and Online Multiplayer.
Singleplayer: Play versus AI.
Level Editor!
Tutorial mode which goes through Deflection rules and tactics.
A lot of scenarios/maps designed to challenge you, some having unique pieces only available in them.
Many different pieces with advantages, downsides, abilities and more. (Portals, Tesla Towers, Spikes etc.)
3D Camera with full control, with cutscenes during kills, activations etc.
Steam Achievements and stats.
Deflection comes with several different and unique scenarios which challenge the players in different ways, some having walls, holes, being in different shapes and sizes, and containing different pieces and arrangements. Deflection turn-based strategy will release September 14, 2021 via Steam. All priced at $9.99 USD. Along with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC.

So like Calvinball but with chess pieces. Someone make a Challenge out of this. <3
IT IS EXACTLY CALVINBALL WITH CHESS PIECES yes good that will make this a faster anecdote in the future.
Also themagpielife please be aware Evan does intended to Challenge in Calvinball someday so. Elisha should be ready for that entirely bland reaction.

What on earth is laser chess?
LET ME TELL YOU A STORY okay no it's a ten second anecdote. My maternal grandpa was big on being the one to teach all of us chess, but when my youngest male cousin was visiting the States when he was like... 4? 5? he found a chess set while I was babysitting and wanted to learn and I felt terrible for taking that from my grandpa (also am just the shiiiiitiest at chess) so I said "HUH I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY let's make up a game" and so laser chess was born.
The rooks shoot lasers.
And can also fly.
It's fun and you have to make up at least two new rules every time you play (and forget half the old ones). It's great.
notthatjaded replied to your post:I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS. Plot twist: The McCartneys are old Spades/
/facepalm. He can be Elani’s Ten then. So there.
Yes good. \o/
