I don’t think I see enough depictions of Dr Kel being in his element in Voices. Like all the depictions I see of him show him like sleep deprived and miserable. I like the idea of Kel absolutely thriving in Voices. I like to think the reason Kel is the one at the facility is because he’s the only one who signed up. He knew shit was gonna be insane and he’s all for it. He matches the facility’s freak. In that same vein, if he’s being chased by some sort of critter, he goes after it with a crowbar. He fights with the Arirals despite knowing they could squash him at a moment’s notice.

I think a person who encapsulates this best is a streamer I follow named Brendaniel. He’s been playing voices for a while, and sometimes I imagine him as Kel and it makes me laugh

This is def the approach I want to take with my interpretation of Kel. Like yeah he’s been spooked by some stuff but overall has acclimated well.

Trying to get feedback and work on an AU is genuinely so hard, especially in discord servers where you’re posted over constantly. I don’t wanna just add random people to yap about it either without permission but I’m not a writer and trying to fit things together is proving troublesome to me. I guess if anyone is interested in hearing what I’ve got on paper for my AU shoot me a message or something? I’m in need of someone to bounce ideas off of to help formulate things together.
