I'm guessing a lot, but from achilles' characterisation in tgs I can't see him wanting to let patroclus go so he can be with someone else while he is with briseis

i don't think it really matters what i intended as i left TGS open ended! and i'm not really a fan of the author dictating how a fic should be interpreted by it's readers...

but i mean, so far as my opinion matters i would expect achilles would be feeling guilty and confused about his attraction to briseis but probably also wanting to have his cake and eat it, which would cause a lot of drama. but that would be a temporary situation because i am a sucker for happy in love mutually consenting polyamorous relationships.

until patroclus gets murked by hektor, obviously.

you can interpret it however you want! but the insinuation is essentially that Patroclus is going to have a love rival (who i intended to be Briseis.) how that situation pans out.....who knows!

I just have to know, its been killing me since I read it. In the good soul, at the shrine to hekate when the old lady says "it is the pauper you should fear", does that mean achilles is going to fall in love with her, and that's why patroclus should fear her? I've been so absorbed in this fic for past few days, it might be my favourite tsoa fic.

Also I might have read something on here about a sequel from achilles' point of view, will that ever happen? I hope this doesn't come off as me demanding a sequel, I was just curious. If not, the good soul is more than enough

ahh yeah it was a fleeting fancy during lockdown when i had a lot of time on my hands haha, it may still happen one day...but i wouldn't hold my breath.
