I just binged every single fic in the Robin series and have now been spending my time stalking your tumblr for more content. Please excuse my subsequent thought pieces. I swear I am a totally normal amount of obsessed with your writing.
So like, for Widow!Nolan, would RobMark still be endgame? Cause on the one hand, I love me so complicated angst (which is also full of, ‘scale of one to ten, how weird is it to be in love with my possible future stepmom’), and Nolan has a special place in my heart and a severe lack of fics with him as a romantic lead. On the other, I think it’d be hilarious is Nolan comes back to find his first-born son is getting it on with his (ex)lover and they are raising his second-born (third-born if Olivier is here) together with Mark as the dad.
Depth dweller!Robin is insane in such a funny way, cause like I’m just imagining Mark is super against this whole arranged marriage thing, then is relieved Aquaria actually just wants to kill him or whatever, and Robin comes out and Mark’s Robin-sexual switch flips on and everyone is both super confused and concerned when Mark is instead like, can I marry her instead? And Robin just rolls with it cause her Mark-sexual switch is also now flipped on and she thinks it’s hilarious
I saw the Xenomorph!Robin post and my mind then went to everyone’s reaction to this. Debbie trying to be supportive but like, Mark what the fuck?
Xenomorph!Robin also brought to mind the opposing au of Predator!Robin, and how Mark would think her mandibles were hot as fuck.
MILF!Robin, aka Thragg’s mom, being Mark’s kryptonite. He’s all, ‘we gotta take down the Viltrum Empire!’ Then he meets Robin and is immediately conflicted cause ‘damn she fine’ Robin joins him cause she’s bored of this whole thing and Thragg has no idea how to handle it cause he’s Grand Regent but that’s his mother and he knows she can and will beat his ass. He is also not prepared for Mark to become his new step-daddy.
Sorry for rambling so much. I might need to retract my previous statement about being only a normal amount of obsessed. The audible squeal of giddy glee I let out whenever i get notice of a new chapter or post has now made that clear to my family.
Rambles and thought pieces are totally welcome! And has...now led to a couple of new snippets below, and a rly long rambly response lol
Widow!Nolan AU my beloved. It's such a damn soap opera and I genuinely don't know how it'd play out xD Hell I've written V-style poly before (and another with one guy/three brothers so it isn't like it'd even be the first in-family situationship) and that'd be the funniest way for it to work out in the long run.
Mark is immediately stepping up post season 1 and objectively being absolutely hilarious in this twisted display of daddy/mommy issues by playing house with his dad's abandoned pregnant girlfriend. Bonus points for actually being rly good at it too, especially as Robin does not enjoy being pregnant and is only sticking with it because she's too far along, and also she's stubborn about 'i already made the damn decision to have this kid, I'm not giving up just because Nolan fucked off'.
I figure she's at least 3 or 4 months along by the time Nolan leaves Earth, so yh season 2-style is starting with Mark becoming a teen dad a bit earlier lol. And damn going to all the hospital (GDA) checks with her, reading parenting books, wandeing around Ikea to pick a crib and building it together-
I may not be a natural kid-fic writer but I can appreciate the vibe in certain doses lol
(helped by how immensely fucked up this scenario is)
A snippet of a divergent Thraxan reuinion-
The first punch, Nolan allows to connect. He deserves worse, and won’t ever pretend otherwise.
The second one, however-
“That’s enough.” He releases Mark’s fist when the frantic pull comes, and it’s…harder than he thought it would be. Seeing Mark like this, looking at him like… “You need to listen to me-”
“I don’t need to listen to anything you say!” Mark’s voice cracks, and he’s still so young. So human. It seemed like Mark might be only human, and while that was a failure in all respects, it was also something of a relief. Nolan can admit that now, even if he couldn’t fully back then.
The day Mark got his powers was one of the worst of Nolan’s life. To have so many of those in such short succession was- difficult. Everything was difficult, when it never should’ve been.
“The Thraxans do need your help,” Nolan says, allowing Mark to keep his distance where they hover above the planet. A planet he intends to protect.
“It isn’t too late. You’re…about to do something you’ll regret for the rest of your life. You can stop now, if you want to, but you’ll never be able to take it back once it’s done.”
She was right. He doesn’t know what she’d think of his actions now. If she’d approve, like she did of his work as a hero of Earth. Or if she’d see right through him and laugh like she did at the end, bitter and unsurprised, but still…genuinely amused.
Until the end, she was the most confusing person he’s ever met.
“Confusing, huh? I’ll take it. If I can be a novelty to a dinosaur like you, I must be doing something right.”
“The Thraxans, right,” Mark shakes his head. “This is insane! You get that this is insane, don’t you?”
“Mark-”
“You’re off out here, with your fucking- your new kid, and your new- what the hell is she? Your wife?” Mark’s mouth twists into a disgusted sneer, and it’s entirely directed at Nolan. At his actions. “Did you marry her, or just say you were going to?”
Nolan’s hands tighten into fists at his sides. Instinct. Reaction. He sees Mark’s gaze dart to them, the tension in his jaw, but Mark doesn’t back down. It’s…
Nolan is proud of him, despite everything. The man his son became. There’s so much of Debbie in him, and it was- unbearable. For years, it was more than he could face, and he never saw what he was doing in his avoidance.
“I’m not married to Andressa,” he says, but it isn’t what Mark wants to hear. He doubts anything is.
Mark scoffs. “Good. Or did you forget you left your pregnant fiancée back on Earth?”
Nolan closes his eyes.
He was hoping Mark wouldn’t bring Robin up. Not so soon, in the limited time they have to prepare before the Empire finds him. He should’ve known better; Mark always did have a soft spot for Robin. A crush, if Nolan had to acknowledge it, but he preferred not to - for obvious reasons.
It was harmless. It wouldn’t amount to anything. If Nolan had done as he was supposed to, when Mark finally gained his powers and as the months went by, proved himself a Viltrumite-
“I’m pregnant. Surprise?…Nolan? Uh, do you wanna sit down? Maybe you should’ve sat down before-”
“You’re pregnant,” he said, and the shock kept him frozen.
He’d just arrived at her apartment, seeking out the odd sense of peace her company gave him. It was a type of focus that reminded him most of being young, and venturing out to a new planet beside a reliable warrior. As…absurd as it was to link to a feeble creature who couldn’t even claim to be superhuman.
“Seems so.” She was leaning on the thin railing of the small balcony with a lit cigarette between her fingers. She nudged the plastic chair over to him, and he sat down. It creaked warningly beneath his weight, but had survived prior visits more rigorous than this.
Pregnant. Robin was pregnant.
He thought of Debbie, her joy as she told him, and it was exactly as planned but somehow…more.
Robin wasn’t Debbie. They were entirely different, but he felt the same, strange uncertainty welling up in him then.
They stopped using protection when he asked. It was just- an idea. Mark hadn’t gained his powers, but this didn’t necessarily mean Earth was to be discarded. Perhaps it was worth a second try, and it would be reason enough to wait another two decades, if he needed to report on his actions.
Robin had given him a searching look but agreed. She wasn’t on the pill, but she didn’t push him for a reason why he’d risk this outcome. He chose to believe she wanted this, too.
Then, it happened. Then, he was looking at her as the sun set and the air cooled, and a month before, he’d killed the Guardians.
She looked back at him, and it felt as if she knew. All of it.
It was a comforting lie he shouldn’t have been so weak as to cling to.

With the Depth Dweller I took a very different angle to suit the 'monsterfucker Mark' energy of these types of AUs lmao
-
Mark thought it was bad enough when they wanted him to marry a fish lady. Even if she had been really nice (which, uh, she is not), it was still way more commitment than he was ready for when he hasn’t even started college yet - and also, he has a girlfriend? Who might not be super cool with Mark having a wife just, as standard, not even because of the fish part.
(Does Amber like sushi? He feels like he should know that by now. Shit.)
Though it’s been…weird with Amber lately, and they might actually be half-broken up-ish but he doesn’t want to mess it up worse, and this would definitely, absolutely do that.
So a fight to the death is honestly a bit of a relief. Up until he sees what he’s fighting, and Mark doesn’t consider himself easily spooked, but he think he can totally be forgiven for a, “Uh oh.”
What did they call it, a Depth Dweller? It definitely looks…dwelly. And big. Really big, are the teeth necessary? They just seem excessive when it also has these huge, insane pincers, and a single swipe sends him flying backward when he does go for a punch.
“Huh. He’s smaller than I thought he’d be,” says soooomeone? A woman? It sounds like a woman’s voice, but it isn’t the Atlanteans cheering for his doom, and it didn’t come from the earpiece, so-
“You can talk?!”
The Depth Dweller freezes, big gold eyes staring him down. The colour is pretty, even if everything else is sort of horrifying.
“…You can hear me?” Her jaw doesn’t move or anything when she speaks - is she psychic? A psychic kaiju who sounds like a normal woman, just with a low-ish voice and it’s actually nice-sounding. For a voice. Voices can be nice.
“Yeah, I can hear you - and I’m not small. You’re just, really big.” He flies up so he’s level with her head, eyeing the pincers nervously, but she isn’t reeling up to attack him again. And she’s…chained up. “Are you a prisoner or something?”
She was down in what looks like a pretty deep hole, and the chains go over to the big pillars in this…arena place? What the fuck is all this. They can’t just keep a clearly sentient, uh, scary kaiju lady chained up.
Her shoulders shift in- ha, is it a shrug? Kinda looks like one. “Pretty much. I’m not here by choice.”
“Me neither,” he sighs, rubbing the back of his neck as he glances over at the Atlantean queen and all the douchy guards. They really don’t look happy, but he’s not gonna fight a prisoner to the death - and it doesn’t seem like she’s gonna attack now she knows he can hear her.
“Who the hell are you talking to?” asks Cecil, and Mark frowns.
“Can’t you hear, uh-” He looks up at the Depth Dweller. “What’s your name?”
“Robin.”
“Like the bird?”
“…Sure.”
“Cool.” Weird, but cool. It’s a funny coincidence. “I’m talking to Robin, the chained up kaiju they want me to fight? Turns out, they updated those laws. And Robin is psychic I guess.”
“You guess.” Cecil sighs. “Get out of there, this wasn’t the deal. We’ll handle whatever the fallout is.”
“I can’t just leave her here.” What kind of superhero would leave someone imprisoned? Even if they do look as scary as Robin. But in a cool way, more like the kaiju in comics than any he’s fought, with this really interesting gold on splotchy black pattern on her chest…plate? Shell? And the pincers too.
Oh, wait. He turns around and hooks a thumb back toward Robin. “Hey, can I just marry the, uh, Depth Dweller instead? It basically combines your laws, right?”
No fight to the death, and it’s practically like marrying someone to give them a visa, isn’t it? Just, y’know, a visa out of being…imprisoned. Yep.
Okay, he might be seeing the cracks in his plan there, but it’s too late to go back on it. Even if he does feel a little embarrassed by the thoroughly amused, “What the fuck are you doing,” from behind him.
He flaps his hand. “Just go with it. Trust me.” He’s a superhero. Saving people is what he does.
He’ll prove it.

I only have rambly ideas on the rest so-
Xeno Robin and Mark at the dining room table and since Robin can't sit on a chair, Mark doing a sit-hover in solidarity, while Debbie sits opposite and tries to wrap her head around this. It's a lot to process.
Mark heart eyes at the Actual Terrifying Alien "she saved me, Mom. I never would've made it home without Robin. Please can she stay here too? She doesn't have anywhere else to go"
I do have another ask mentioning possible Predator/Yautja Robin - which I was mostly leaving in case I had any writing insp for, but don't currently xD I do 100% agree that he's completely here for weird new version of kissing (listen all Marks I write have the capacity for being Grade A Freaks, some just skip there faster or start at a baseline freak level), but also deserves to be fully courted with suitable hunts because c'mon Robin loves when she gets to fully larp whatever the heck she's ended up as. And it's badass.
Thragg's mom has got it going on AU oh dear. Mark no. Stop that.
Viltrumite Robins genuinely have so much potential range xD Like one version could be she's essentially gone "okay im leaving you to do your thing kid, im retiring" in the general era between scourge and viltrumite war, and when Thaedus et al go to Viltrum they stop by her vacation planet as a final hail mary
Robin out on her sunlounger when the crew finally make it to the extremely dangerous part of the planet she lives on surrounded by The Horrors Of the Sea Sky and Unknowing "Thaedus, wow, it's been a hot minute. Stabbed anyone else in the skull lately?"
And Thragg gets to have his mom turn up to his dramatic battle and completely ruin everything. Utterly losing steam and "Mother? Why...Why are you here?" and Robin just "I was hoping you'd do surprise me but we're exactly where I expected, so I'm here to clean up before we lose our planet." "But mother-" "You had your chance, kid. We'll talk about what went wrong later."
Alt idea: she's actively a presence in the Empire nominally as Thragg's 'advisor', much colder and judgemental and once again, insanely OP, and giving the entire damn remaining empire mommy issues of epic proportions.
Ramping up once the war starts because she committed to raising Thragg Right and he's disappointing her by doing the same shitty moves as canon.
"You have the capacity to be so much more than this. Unless...Is my faith in you just that? Blind, worthless faith?" genuinely wondering if she's wasted her many, many centuries on this and somewhat but not fully aware of the fancy new complexes she's giving Thragg, congrats, you made him worse
Down the road, Nolan (and Debbie) starts wondering if maybe Oliver’s attraction to lobsters has less to do with his Thraxan side and Nolan’s side of the family is the weird and freaky one
Realizing that for as much as I predicted this happening, even tagging the fic as being non-linear, I was still very much unprepared for just how much writer’s block is preventing me from updating Mother Hera. Because I can’t for the life of me bring myself to actually follow through with the non-linear tag
I decided to start being a responsible author and restarted my tumblr posting for my fics. Haven’t touch this thing since I was a cringy teen thinking I was sooo funny and amazing at writing
