There are different ways in which people part...
Finally I shooed off the ghost of Plath whirpooling in my head... Here's a glimpse of it...
There are different ways in which people part
Like how the sun dips down, giving farewell crimson kisses to the sky, as it is meant to be.
Like how my favourite song drips from my lips, and is now on yours
and now you whisper it softly
into another pair of ears.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how the washed wave toddle back to the ocean
after making out with the gravels, destined to be at shore.
And ohh ,how the gravels crave,
for a pearl between their crevices, sometimes just for a seashell as a memoire.
There are different ways in which people part,
like how the scarlet tint on my lips fades
and after I dab some of it on my lover's cheek.
Like how one of two stars falls from the sky, for a pair of eyes wishes upon it.
There are differnet ways in which people part,
like how my favourite pair of ripped jeans, now slumbers deep in my closet, which i outgrew.
Like how I discard the tunic gifted by my mother, which fits yet suffocates my insides
Like how the straps of my black dress slips down my arms, now pooled at my feet, so raw and so in love.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how a boy on a swing, sways forward, away from the his Dad's hands, still in air to catch him as he returns back.
Like how the taste of my favourite pasta stays in my mouth, even after I gulp it with a gourmet smile.
Like returning home from a vacation.
Like leaving home for a mission.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how an irreversible chemical reaction, seperates a white cloud above, upon a purple sea in a test tube.
Like exhaling out air 16 times for every minute, just to survive.
Like a disease getting cured,
Like the suffering ending.
Like a bandage being ripped off.
There are different ways in which people part, And sometimes they go through your skin and come out from the other side and they walk away, never looking back, ever.
And it all hurts the same.
And it all relieves the same.
