I need to revamp this blog
jigento:
‘ your glory years— yeah right… ‘ the glory years as in in the bottom of a glass ? sure sounds glorified to him. ‘ look– i’m only here cause i’m lookin’ for your boy. he wasn’t hangin’ around in his normal spots so i thought he’d be home. ‘ which he clearly wasn’t by the look of it.
Atsuko raised an eyebrow at the young man’s response and she finished her gulp before setting her glass back down on the counter.
“You think he might be in some trouble?” she asked, reaching across the counter for her pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
jigento:
‘ hell no… you think i want my sister kickin’ my ass if she found out ? ‘ as much as he wanted to, the little voice in the back of his head said otherwise. ‘ still… doesn’t matter if i’ve been comin’ around for a week, a month, or a year– that shit never really feels any safer… ‘
The woman shrugged and instead reached for the handle to the freezer to grab some ice cubes.
“Hun, I’ve been drinkin’ longer than you’ve been alive. ‘sides, my kid’s raised and can handle his own. I’m living out my glory years.” She gave him a grin as she poured from the bottle into the glass, then put the cap back on the bottle.
“So what brings you here today anyway, Kazuma-kun?” she asked curiously. “Besides to lecture me?” she teased before taking a sip of her glass
‘ that’s… your third bottle… shouldn’t you consider… y’know– stopping ? ‘
@scatteredxbottles
Atsuko snorted as the cap made a cracking sound as she opened it. At the younger man’s comment, she looked him dead in the eye before bringing the bottle up to her lips and taking a swig directly from it.
“You’ve been comin’ around for how long now?” she asked with a smirk as she set the bottle back down on the counter and reached for a glass instead. Her hand lingered on a second glass. “You want one?”
His attention wasn’t on Atsuko, not until she stole the cigarette && proceeded to take her own drag. Despite the annoyance of the gesture, he couldn’t help the soft smirk, as he tossed some cover’s on her. The room he kept was cold, but only because Atsuko often complained of his body heat, he was hot blooded after all. ‘ If she’s stealing from me, she’s out, of course. ‘ He thought as he got himself up, lighting another smoke && leaving the other, for her.
❝ I probably do or they’ve been tossed, shit … Well, I have a few more smokes in my pack, but I still need to get some tea. You wanna come with or are you just gonna lay there, till I get back ?? ❞
The humor in his tone, was all because he found her amusing, as she still laid out like a cat on his bed. It wasn’t unheard of, Atsuko being in his bed && naked, waiting on him. More often then not, he liked coming back to her there, keeping his bed warm.
Leaning down, he stole a soft kiss to her forehead, as whatever she choose … He’d still come back to her. It was the weird thing about Atsuko, despite her being a case of trouble, for him …. He couldn’t help giving a damn. Probably had to do with that right hook of her’s, but that was just a front, he knew why he gave a damn. He just wouldn’t admit it.
With his jeans && shirt on, he was quick to grab his wallet. He’d lost faith in finding sunglasses, but what else was new ??
Dark locks sprawled messily over the pillow she’d plopped her head back down on as she took another long drag and blew the smoke up into the air above them. The burn in her throat and chest made her shiver as she blew the smoke out, though not from the cold. Between Raizen and the blankets, she was plenty warm enough despite her lack of clothes.
Her eyes moved to him as he spoke up and she let out a small whine when his lips pressed against her forehead just before he left the warmth of the futon. She reached down for the blanket with her free hand, pulling it up closer to her as she took a deep breath, taking in the man’s scent. Everything in the room, and the apartment in general, smelled just like him and she nearly melted in its embrace.
Laying in his bed, teasing each other and giving small affectionate gestures... It was almost as if they hadn’t been separated for nearly 20 years. Out of the blue, Raizen had shown back up in her life. What was once a call every six months had suddenly turned into an invitation to come home with him the night before. They’d just gone out for drinks the night before, but Raizen definitely should have known that going out for drinks would certainly land them where they were now.
Her eyes moved up to find his face. She knew he was expecting a response from her on whether she’d be going with him to the corner store or staying behind, but her voice was lost as she took the additional time to really look at the man above her.
Twenty years changed everyone, and Raizen was no exception. She could see the formations of wrinkles in his face, laugh lines curling along his cheeks when he smiled. When he’d laugh, his eyes would scrunch up, accenting the wrinkles around the corners of his eyes. But despite these new additions, Atsuko could still see the confident young man with the cocky smirk and the mischievous eyes that she’d met all those years ago.
Blowing another trail of smoke above her, the woman sat up and reached for her underwear and jeans on the floor.
“I thought the whole purpose was to just never leave the apartment,” she teased as she stood up next to the futon.
She pulled her underwear and jeans up, wiggling her hips as she worked the jeans over her wide hips. She leaned down for her bra next before grabbing her wrinkled, long-sleeved shirt. Her dark hair stuck out a bit from being tussled while dressing.

❝ I don’t, but I can boil some water && we can use the coffee cups. ❞
The tone she was using, told Raizen that they’d partied too hard, last night. After a week of parties, he’d hoped to catch some sorta break, but now he’d have to take care of their bad decision’s. Sighing hard, Raizen took a smoke from his pack of cigarette’s && lit up, inhaling the menthol with a searing pain.
❝ Fuck, Atsuko … Where are some sunglasses ?? I need to go grab some tea && you out ?? ❞
With a glance to her side table, he could see they’d done some damage on their vice && she probably would need another pack, him too. Never a break, never.
Atsuko snorted. “Cheap man’s kettle,” she said with a shake of her head. Her hand patted around the floor next to the futon for her jeans. Her hand slipped into the pocket and pulled out a box of cigarettes. Unfortunately for her, it was empty.
She groaned, crumpling the paper box before tossing it off to the side.
She smelled the freshly lit cigarette behind her and rolled over onto her back, shivering as the cold air of the room hit her bare skin. She reached her hand up and took the cigarette from Raizen’s lips as he took his second drag, pulling it down to her mouth to inhale.
“Do you even own a pair of sunglasses?” she asked dryly before blowing the smoke out toward the ceiling as her head fell back against the pillow.
