Actually no they pretty much haven't been ''invented'', in the sense that Northern Europeans would freak out if they saw an African man/women in basically any timeperiod before about 1850. The same with Africans, they too would and have probably been freaked out by the sudden appearance of Europeans during the Colonial age.If for example a white person were to appear in an African movie that played in 1600 I would be angry same with an African in Northern Europe in 1600. It's inaccurate.

Why do white people want to act like there was some kind of magical barrier separating Europe from the rest of the world that just disintegrated when they felt like it was time for slavery? Have you ever looked at a map? Portugal (which , for the obviously geography impaired anon, is in Europe) is practically touching north Africa. And what is your excuse for films set in old Europe not depicting Asians? Are we supposed to pretend that Europe didnât trade with India? Are we supposed to pretend that Europe and Asia are not touching?Â
White people are either the most delusional people on the planet, or they are just desperate to white wash everything. Good thing you hit the anon button otherwise all of tumblr would know you are an idiot.
Never Enough: Growing Up Mixed-Race with a Mix of Friends
âI identify as mixed-race. My father is white, and my mother was black and Native American. I have medium-light-toned skin, I have curly hair when itâs not buzzed, and I do not really look like either of my parents. When I was growing up, it was always hard to explain my background to people. Plenty of people, kids and adults alike, would ask me, âWhat are you?â as though I were some sort of unidentifiable artifact found in the caves of racial mĂ©lange.
When I would explain my parentsâ racial identities (which usually had me saying my mother was black, as she typically identified as such), I would be met with a variety of reactions. Some folks would reply with, âWow! Thatâs so interesting! Where did they meet?â I always took that as the inquirer being surprised that a white man and a woman of color could meet and start a family together. Of course, there was always the âOh, so your mom is into white guys?â response or, even more like clockwork, âIs your dad into black women?â Also common was âYou are a symbol of the melting pot of America,â a burden I never want nor have ever asked for. It seems to be given simply because I am mixed-race.
I honestly never knew and still do not know how to respond to these kind of remarks â other than to become generally annoyed.â

[Headline image: The photograph features an adult explaining something to a child while they share a meal together. Both have short black hair, dark eyebrows, and dark eyes. The child is wearing a white shirt. The adult has black stubble visible and is wearing a beige shirt. Visible on the table are a white plate with oranges, a white plate with vegetables, and a glass of orange juice.]
I worked at a #PlannedParenthood clinic in Kansas for 3 years. My coworkers & I were subjected to the following acts of terrorism:

The number of men who hired women, used women, and then took credit for the work and discoveries THEY made is rampant throughout history and disgusting.

He broke her down. This is why white people cannot have locs.
How is she so sure he doesnât wear suits all time? see how she had to keep reinforcing her scary black man stereotype onto him to justify her (realistically unjustified) fear Â
