@flwrcrowns questioned: âHere, have a lemon. It will protect you from the dark fairies - theyâre terribly known for jumping on your head and punching your nose. Sometimes theyâll give you bad luck, too!â - Unprompted
HOW VERY ECCENTRIC THIS YOUNG WOMAN APPEARED TO BE    ;    it only left the antique vampire with a brigade of questions    ,    & yet    ,    he did not question her.    instead    ,    hand was held out    ,    silently accepting the citrus fruit as dull orbs gazed upon them.    admittedly    ,    the young - looking creature had yet to encounter dark fairies    ,    though that certainly didnât mean they didnât exist.    centuries upon green earth had taught him that anything could be hidden within the dark forests or oceans that littered the world.    who was he to doubt anyone about such things    ?    & he didnât need any more bad luck    ,    heâd had plenty for a lifetime.
â    thank you.    i am very fortunate that you are here with me.    who knows what those little things mightâve done if you hadnât came along.    â    then again    ,    the few fairies heâd encountered were much larger than the lore had foretold.    soft smile lingered to features    ,    lemon settling in the pocket of his baggy pants.    â    where did you learn about these    â    fairies    ?    â
an honest expression of contentment begets YOUNG ABOMINATION'S face ; unable to help it . in addition to having strong connection to her home state and cajun roots , hope had taken special interest in norse background as well and it's no surprise . after all , she has been raised up by creatures who wandered this planet for hundreds upon hundreds of years and she was the first ( and alas , only ) new generation in the entire time . of course , lessons must be taught . " . . . en liten , i still have much to learn but languages are actually something i grasp quickly . "
hands move to shove inside jacket pockets , shrugging in a manner of nonchalance . it's not something she's used to , discussing her assets and positive attributes . however , the vampire feels easy to talk to , perhaps because he's ancient and calm , radiates some nameless , unknown yet trustworthy energy ? " ha , yep ... walking , talking loophole ! " she teased with a wave . " ... please , come on in . dad won't be long , i'm sure . oh , and if you're hungry , we have plenty supply . " and by that , she means blood .
BEAMFUL JOY WAS A RARE PLEASURE IN BON TEMPS    ,    OR EVEN DALLAS    ;    they were typically accompanied by some form of malice    ,    or quiet contempt    ,    hidden deep within the species that roamed at night.    but this one.    this one was different.    not only in rarity of kind    ,    but also simply for her delight    ,    for the small moments of happiness that seemed to radiate off her like the very rays of sunshine that he so missed.    how curious he was to know her.    to question & talk with her.    not to get any information that would be of use against her    ,    but rather simply to get to know her.    to officially meet the girl that his friend had kept hidden & protected for so long    ,    as he very well should    ,    considering what she was.
of course    ,    when offered once again to enter    ,    the ancient being gave in.    feet moved carefully    ,    steps even & quiet as he entered the home.    cloudy gaze observed the beautiful home    ,    silently taking in his surroundings    ;    after a moment attention settled back on the young woman    ,    smile not quite matching hers    ,    but rather far more calm.    â    you speak it very well.    â    godric reassured    ,    hopeful that she would continue her studies on the subject of languages.    â    if your father would like    ,    i can certainly stop by a few times a month.    teach you a few languages.    â    though his own was long gone.     gaulish had died out with his own people.
hand held up to deter her from retrieving any blood.    heâd had plenty before his trip to the swampy lands.    â    thank you    ,    but thatâs quite alright.    iâm very old.    my need to feed is    .    .    .    relatively low.    â
PAM HAD HELD MANY KINKS IN HER LIFETIME : praise was one of them. Though she did her best in that moment not to remove eye contact from the woman before her. Still, there was a twitch of a smirk at the corner of her lips that indicated some satisfaction to Godric's words. She could get used to this, she thought, not just the praising itself but the control of others. Part of her had to wonder if she herself had ever been glamoured before and never remembered. Did Eric ever glamour her? No, why would he? She had been a willing participant since the moment she laid eyes on him. Though the question still lingered, the blonde tried her best not to dwell on that now. At the initial statement that granted her permission to do as she pleased with the woman, a single thought came to mind which was almost immediately extinguished by the suggestion of having her lead them out the back. Sure, of course she could do that, but that hadn't been the first thought to cross the young vampire's mind. Far from that, in fact. But then when Godric's voice continued, that eagerness played across expression. Much more suitable to what she had actually wanted to do. She was famished after all and the scent of the brunette between them was already causing Pam's mouth to nearly salivate. Without wasting more time, fangs snapped forward with a soft hiss, single hand being brought upon the shoulder to which her elder did not occupy. â Now darlin'⊠be a good girl. â The words practically purred from parting lips as she leaned in closer, lowering herself accordingly towards one side of the exposed neck. Vein already practically throbbing as if begging to be sliced into. â Don't move. Enjoy it. â Tone now in a whisper. Once she felt that appropriate moment where she could tear her gaze away without breaking that hypnotic seal, Pam finally looked upon flesh, noting the desired vein. The tip of her fangs lightly brushing until puncturing through the skin, mouth devouring against the side of their victim's neck to allow that thick and creamy substance of life to pour onto her own tongue like a warm welcome. A soft, almost moaning gasp soon echoed into her ear as she began to feed, no longer hearing the tormented sounds of men as they continued to threaten their entrance into the bar. Even Pam herself couldn't help the longing moan which escaped her with every gulp taken, though she knew she would have to be mindful, especially when sharing with another. So she drank slowly, savoring every delicious drop.
PURE PERFECTION    â    THAT IS WHAT HIS BLOODLINE CONSISTED OF    ;    women & men capable of doing what they needed to    ,    without even needing much help.    overcast hues observed silently as the woman made her command known to the young human girl.    really    ,    the maiden held no chance against them    â    even if the young fledgling had failed at glamouring her    ,    the beginning of the bloodline would do what she could not.    of course    ,    there was no such problem & within moments the girl was under the blondeâs spell.    human women were so very frail in this particular time - period    ,    nothing like the ones heâd fought alongside in the olden days.    nothing like the women who ran barefoot & connected to mother earth with a simple chant.    no.    the humans had contorted everything about their natural habitat    ,    created weakened soldiers & even more fragile wives.   Â
perhaps that is what allowed that pride to linger within the gaul    ,    watching as his progenyâs child began to drain the young woman.    fangs of his own protruded from gums    ,    leaning in to dig into the soft flesh of the barmaid    ,    who    â    of course    â     allowed such treatment without a single complaint.    despite equivalent pleasure in feeding    ,    the ancient held a far more respectable demeanor    (    after all    ,    this was something heâd been doing for many centuries.    )    the thick substance coated throat    ,    filling him up just enough to move forward from their game.
that didnât mean that he rushed his little one to finish her meal    ;    waiting patiently as he licked up some of the crimson delicacy that dripped down shoulder & chest.    after a few minutes    ,    he straightened back up    ,    fingers brushing away blood that had dripped down his chin.    digits smoothed over the imprints that would soon scar over    ,    gaze lingering on pamela in all her glory.    brunette locks sat between his fingers    ,    twisting & curling between fingers as thoughts crossed his mind.    they needed to figure out how to appease the crowd outside.    to make sure that they remained distracted while they made their way back home.    actions made godricâs life a smidge more difficult    ,    but it was nothing he couldnât handle.    this wasnât the first time theyâd been caught in a mess of hunters    ;    even his own child had gotten them caught a few times.    what was important now was figuring out just how to handle it    â    & fortunately for them    ,    the humans were naturally aggressive    ,    & more importantly    ,    so very gullible.
the grand - sire had the perfect idea.    what was better than letting this poor girl run to her own demise    ,    particularly when they could sneak away so easily    ?    fingers softly came to roam through blonde tresses    ,    gently trying to get the womanâs attention    ,    while still allowing her to have her fill.    â    when youâre done    ,    dove    ,    letâs think about how weâre going to get out of this little    â    situation.    â
indeed, venice held many a jewel in it's midst; boticelli's venus ate at armand's dinner table, he dined in brothel's with saints and drew blood from holy messengers.
but there was nothing in comparison to what stood before godric. his hair seemed to be spun from amber, as if the amber was melted and drawn from candle flames in long, fine threads, as light as air. amadeo was sweet still, the thin, tight slope of his face feminine and unblemished, unmarred by hair or time. dressed in his stockings, his belted doublet sewn in tight to his form with sapphires that glinted as his eyes do, amadeo gives a flourishing bow.
a hand comes up, flipping in the air as he bends at the waist, lowering himself in a fanciful little dip. when he comes back up, it's with a larger smile, something amused and ridden with mischief.
â mio padre ? â
it was a strange thing to hear a voice as old as this one through the cadence of a young boy. in asking for his father, amadeo begins to laugh, leaning his head back some. father rots on his tongue, dissolving into him like a reminder that father and master were one and the same.
â da raccontare su di me ? â marius would be displeased. but would he believe another child? one as they are, a child frozen in time? amadeo has no intention of bringing him to his master, as secretive as the de romanus man is, but when his hand is held out . . . he wants to.
if only so that he might be given the permission to roll around with this strange, beautiful boy. amadeo slowly brings his hand to drape it in the stranger's palm, surprised to find that he's as warm as he is. middle finger traces up godric's middle finger, a plethora of sensations bursting from that touch alone. amadeo glances up, a bit hesitant, before placing his hand fully in inside his.
â stai cercando di mettermi nei guai ? â
INTRIGUE HEIGHTENED WITHIN EVERY FIBER OF HIS BEING    ;    greyish - blues observing every little shift in movement    ,    every little accent woven through words    ,    painting a picture even with simplicity.    this boy was a mystery    ,    & yet    â    he felt a deep connection    ,    even now in this dingy little alley    ;    hidden away from the rest of the world.    then again    ,    perhaps it was just that.    the privacy of it all.    the fact that they did not need to hide their true selves from each other    ,    when truly they were simply one in the same.    a small squint is offered    ,    amusement playing on his features at the short conversation theyâve offered each other.    how very cute he was.    & all the more adorable to think he could hide his master.    truth be told    ,    being a millennium & a half held its perks    ,    one being that he was usually able to get what he wanted    â    whether from a human or vampire.
fingers touch his own    ,    sending a familiar    ,    pleasant sensation crawling up his spine    ;    suddenly he wants to keep this fledgling close    ,    to protect him more than anyone or anything could.    the gaul had destroyed his own master in cold blood    ,    leaving nothing more than ash in his wake.    a rarity amongst their kind.    & something heâd already determined in his mind that he wanted to do to this young strangerâs own.    would that be so terrible    ?    to have the youngling rip apart the one whoâd changed his life    ,    whoâd given him a lifetime of torment    ;    though whether he saw it or not was the question.    so rarely did those abused see what the abuser had done.    the fact that his maker had created him meant he wanted to keep him looking that young for eternity.    if one thought about it    â    it was truly despicable.
hand carefully closed around the otherâs own    ,    movements of his own quick in comparison to the slowed ones.    suddenly the distance closed between them    ,    free arm wrapping around lithe figure as forehead softly touched the smallerâs own.    he was just barely taller than this beautiful stranger.    fingers carefully intertwined with the young manâs own    ,    an amused    ,    little hum slipping from between barely parted lips    ,    which twitched with a growing grin.   Â
â    certo che no.    â    the last thing he would do is tell on him.    for what    ?    toying with a dead body    ?    did that    ,     perhaps    ,    count as him playing with his food    ?    no matter.    what father would be displeased by such an innocent thing    ?    (     fingers softly brushed over the otherâs knuckles.    )    â    non me lo sognerei mai.    voglio conoscere chi Ă© stato a creare una cosa cosĂŹ meravigliosa.    â    the elder vampire mused softly    ,    lips moving to whisper words into the young manâs ear.
â    allora    ,    mi porti da lui    ?    â

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE SUN HELD AS MUCH CLOUT AS A THORN IN SOMEONEâS SIDE    ;    the one & only reason theyâd been able to take the ancient creature had been through cooperation    ,    compliance that not many of his species would allow.    it had been his own choice    â    one that had been made with peace in mind    ,    hopeful that perhaps the humans could finally learn that they could all live amongst each other    ,    rather than constantly be on the offensive at each otherâs doors.    how little they understood about the dynamic they were creating    â    if they knew    ,    would they even care    ?    not likely.    from the many years of interacting with the living    ,    the elder had learned that they did not ascertain easily.    while they screamed & hissed that the vampires were savages    ,    they took pleasure in the pain of not only their own    ,    but of others    ;    of those who were strange or unique in their eyes.    how very closed minded of them.    how very aggressive in nature.
had the young ginger been human    ,    & the shooter been vampire    ,    he would have had the exact same reaction    ;    the entire point of this trade having been to keep what little harmony still remained.    neck snapped just as quickly as bullet had penetrated soft skin    ,    the shooterâs body limp on the floor while the being tended to the unknown vampire that had entered their midst.    how easily heâd gotten out of the steaming restraints & ran to her    ,    how easily heâd found himself holding her against his chest    ,    begging for her to please wake up.    she might have been just as equally his abomination    ,    but she didnât deserve the pain that would come with the silver bullet    ,    which he'd made quick work of before sheâd woken up.    it would still sting    ,    but the pain would be considerably less.
â    you were shot    .    .    .    â    (    hands moved away    ,    allowing the fledgling space to compose herself.    )    â    your shoulder.    you should leave.    before you get hurt again.    â
"Right, grandfather." That wasn't weird at all. The whole vampire hierarchy was technically not too difficult to understand, if you knew who was the top bitch. There was always someone higher up, apparently. Lucky they didn't have to draw family trees for show and tell at school.
"The essence of it is quite simple. I let Pam bite me, and in return she makes sure she is the only vampire getting on my nerves. I doubt I need to explain why." Eleanor was also rather sure he could imagine that almost any relationship with Pam included sex, so she opted to leave that out of the conversation. Thinking of him as her grandfather was making this super awkward.
"Letting Pam claim me allows me to go to work without having to worry about blood-horny baby vampires when I have night shifts. So far I haven't regretted it." Aside from the attitude she was getting from Pam now and again, but she wasn't shy to push back in kind.
SIMPLE WAS NOT A WORD OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH HIS GRAND - PROGENY    ;    but rather    ,    the complete opposite in most cases    ,    there werenât many that got along with the young blonde.    of course    ,    upon hearing the explanation    ,    it cleared things up a bit.    ownership had been for more selfish reasons    ;    which the vampire did not disapprove of    ,    quite contradictory.    if it kept this young woman safe    ,    then who was he to interfere with whatever she & pamela were doing behind closed doors.    & just from her scent    ,    he could certainly tell why other bloodsuckers would be after this particular curiosity.    it was difficult to pinpoint exactly what she smelled of    ,    but it was flavorful    ,    to say the least.
the hint of a smile lingered across tight lips    ,    head tilting the slightest bit as he listened to words tumbling from plump lips.    â    i see.    it seems pamela has found herself quite the intriguing partner.    iâm glad.    for both of you.    â    (    a smidge of protective nature peaking through when it came to his grandchild    ;    a short warning    ,    features turning stern.    )    â    keep each other safe.    do not betray her.    â    allowing the silence to linger for a moment or two before the smile returned.
â    what is it that you do for work    ,    miss lipson    ?    â
caroline had been on yet another roadtrip to check up on new orleans . yeah , it wasn't really her place , but without a presence there , she frequently took it upon herself to check in . it had gotten really bad once before , it could turn out like that again . she'd step in at that point . the trip was a long one , but it had given her a lot of time to think and mull over things that had been on her mind . what plans she wanted to put into actions and one that she wanted to card away .
sheâd had a situation arise initially when she was driving thru , a vampire snack ditched on the side of the road . sheâd rolled her eyes at first , annoyed that vamps were like that everywhere it seemed . she had a certain level of care that she put into her meals . sheâd helped them and compelled them to tell her where they lived . she wouldnât leave until her blood was safely out of their system . and then sheâd find out what moron of a vampire left them to die .
in her very quick research sheâd found a local vampire hang out and that seemed like the quickest way to get to the bottom of whatever was going on . đ đđđđđđđđ . sheâd laugh if it wasnât so cheesy . she had walked in and taken a scan around before making a beeline for the bar . might as well have a drink before getting started . â what ever is the drink of the night , ill take two . â she turned around and looked out , it was crowded . just great .

LACK OF MEETING THE SUN HAD BROUGHT THE ANCIENT TO RUCKUS    ;    the bar a far cry from the usually quiet home of area 9 in dallas    ,    made only so by his own rule.    but he held no true power here in bon temps    ,    no need for his input on anything when the town was ruled by his own progeny.    on occasion the elder would chime in    â    perhaps giving a suggestion on how the bar would run while there    â    considering the creature wanted assurance that the humans would remain safe in their care.    despite volunteering to be drained    ,    there was no doubt within mind that on occasion an accident or two would occur    ;    or rather    ,    the vampires would get a little too aggressive    ,    the potential for dangerous situations always present.
perhaps thatâs why godric remained seen within the bar    ,    having found comfort in a small area in the corner    ,    away from the predatory hues of those who entered.    & hidden away enough for the humans his progeny threw his way    ,    allowing them to get distracted.    if they couldnât find him    ,    then he could remain undisturbed.    & if by some miracle they reached his destination    ,    a quick glamour would send them the opposite direction.    tru blood had become enough for him.    though if he felt weak enough    ,    or if his child whined enough that he looked sickly    ,    only then would he take a single sip of the fresh liquid.    quick    ,    painless    ,    & most importantly    ,    fully consensually given.
the night had begun like any other in the bar    â    humans approached    ,    the gaul refused their advances    ,    & they found some other soulless being to take what they were offering.    of course    ,    something different caught his eye.    a young woman    â    twenties or younger    ,    he assumed    â    ventured to the bar.    it was painstakingly clear she wasnât from around there    ,    the wardrobe    (    though godric might argue pam wore similar clothing    )    gave it away.    still    ,    the teen - esque simply watched from a distance    ,    curiosity peaked as he observed.
vampire behind the bar retrieved two tru bloods    ,    assuming thatâs what she wanted.    with all the bustle    ,    he silently placed them in front of where she was seated.    & then    ,    without warning    ,    he reached for her.    now    ,    godric was not one to normally get involved when it came to bar feuds    ,    but this was different.    in fact    ,    he found it a little strange that the bartender felt it necessary to grab the woman at all.    so    ,    without warning    ,    just as he had    â    the oldest vampire in fangtasia suddenly found himself beside the young blonde.    hand held the workerâs wrist    ,    twisting it painfully away from her.    â    hello.    youâre not from around here    .    .    .    â    voice soft as he smiled comfortingly to her    ,    keeping the otherâs wrist in hand.
beep beep howâs my portrayal ?
â Who would've thought it? â Sookie scoffed to herself at her own remark, agreeing with Godric that his progeny often found an issue with anyone that he had come across in one way or another. Heck, even she had thought he walked around thinking he was better than everyone else, both human and vampire alike; but, she found a softer side to him. He was somebody that felt deeply but didn't make it obvious. The faerie swallowed hard, because she really didn't know how to explain her relationship with him to Godric. It didn't fit into one box. â I guess you'd have to ask him what makes me so different but . . . I know what you mean. I care about him a lot. â
HONESTLY    â    HIS PROGENYâS LOVE FOR THIS HUMAN HAD ASTONISHED HIM    ;    not in a negative way    ,    per say    ,    but rather the fact that heâd known the viking for thousands of years & belief held true that he was only able to fully love his family.    that is    â    until this lovely young woman had come along.    the elder certainly couldnât blame him for the interest    ,    sensing something very unique about her.    hell    ,    sheâd surprised him after having been alive for so long    ;    the show of kindness far beyond anything he could comprehend.    his child had grown since theyâd last been together    ,    & sheâd changed him for the better.
soft chortle left lips once more    ,    smile settling contently to soft features    ;    what more could he ask of her    ?    he wanted nothing but his sonâs eternal happiness.    â    iâm glad.    i suspect he wouldnât even tell me.    but    ,    i do appreciate your love for him.    & your kindness toward him.    & if eric considers you his family    ,    then i do as well.    â
@roseguided pleaded â stay with me. â / daenerys
UNCOMMON OCCURANCE    ,    UNDOCUMENTED MYSTERY HIDDEN AWAY    ;    the forests of westeros had done well to keep the outside at bay    ,    allowing for the unknown creatures to live out their lives in peace.    not exactly something that the humans had been known for    â    power    ,    hunger    ,    dominance had always been their motivation    ,    the reason the children had to hide away & make sure that their presence remained cryptic.    they were not to be trusted.    not after everything theyâd done    â    & yet    ,    pleading words gave pause    ,    bright emerald hues searching the trees for an answer that would never come.    history had proven that he should keep to himself    ,    that they were all just greedy manipulators    ,    that they wanted to conquer that which they misunderstood.    so why did he doubt actions that should be taken without thought    ?    why was he debating a likely mistake that could cost him his life    ? search came to an end    ,    mind made up that he would not be like them    ,    that he would not leave something trapped.    (    if only to avoid mimicking the very creatures that they detested so.    )    limbs slowly began their movements once again    ,    turning on his heels to return to the blondeâs side.    a beat.    position shifts to kneel beside this stranger    ,    hand moving cautiously closer to her.    another moment of suspension before he closes the distance between them    ,    hand settling on her wound.    the liquid substance is crimson& makes him bilious    ,    not particularly enjoying the feeling against his own skin.    bright hues peer down at the human    ,    disgust concealed deep down so that he can help.    once she was better    â    sheâd leave them all alone    ,    right    ?    â    .    .    .    i can make something for the bleeding.    but i must search for the ingredients.    you will survive    ?    â
FASCINATION PEAKED INTEREST ON THE GAUL who lied in a fetal position upon the floor, body shaking and bleeding though his wounds would heal quickly enough. It did not mask the pain to which they were brought. She could feel it like a palpable force, head canting to the side as she watched him idly, light smirk spread across painted lips. Fingers curled with arms crossed upon her chest. He was one with Hell now, easily sensed but even more so was she attracted to the rage that was held within him. It called to her, which brought her forth in this instance though he may not have even realized it, eyes widening as she watched him struggle. Oh, how beautiful he fought, the strength was almost incomprehensible yet, admirable. â Such beauty in darkness, aren't you? â
@sccruel !
AGONY ENCROACHED ON EVERY FIBER    ,    EVERY NERVE ENDING LIT AFLAME    ;    oh how he longed for death & still his master would not allow such a thing.    why would he    ?    the man was made of cruelty    ,    taking each & every opportunity to torment the young creature.    how long had it been since the gaul had known freedom    ?    how long since calloused fingers combed through blades of grass    ,    rather than impractically attempting to stop the drops of ruby from dripping down his skin    ?    how long since heâd found himself happily in the sun    ?    & still    ,    the savage couldnât give up    ,    not after everything heâd been through.    not after feeling inexplicable pain shoot & crawl through his body by every means necessary.    the madman had found every way to hurt him    ,    though had found a way to eliminate the evidence littering now paled skin.    the wounds would heal with time    ,    though what little mental stability heâd had for the past few years was quickly weaning.
the now    (    near immortal    )    being could feel the wounds slowly healing    ,    his owner having taken the liberty to give him the bare minimum to drink    â    just enough to allow him to heal    â     so that he could repeat the process again.    body shook with a mixture of throbbing    ,    stinging heat    (    & a burning rage that could destroy anything in his path    )    ;    even when the other was away    ,    he still couldnât find peace.   Â
perhaps it was the pain    ,    or perhaps the effort to distract himself    ,    thoughts lost to the forests he once roamed    ;    but the sudden voice caught his attention    â    well    ,    more like surprised.    speeded movement nearly crashes him into the stone walls    ,    bloodied hands gripping the walls behind him.    even through the pain    ,    the warrior would continue to fight.    bright hues narrowed as they landed on her    ,    bloodied back to the corner of the room so she couldnât sneak up on him again.    a short hiss left him    â    warning to keep her at a distance    ,    despite the fogged vision & trembling limbs.    despite defensiveness    ,    something important did catch his attention.    gaulish.    native tongue.    how did she know it    ?    how was she speaking it so effortlessly    ?    everyone in rome spoke italian    ,    didnât they    ?
@roseguided inquired â i don't mean to bother you. â / Jessica
NOISE LEFT LITTLE ROOM TO FOCUS WITHIN THE SPACIOUS LOUNGE    ;    easily creating an    â    unwelcomed distraction.    (    perhaps his sonâs plan all along    ,    keeping him from thinking of the sun & how warm it would be upon burnt skin.    how the true death called to him so hospitably.    )    but now    ?    now he paid for his actions of attempting to leave the world behind    ,    having been ready to meet the gods or whatever else was beyond    .    .    .    this.    rather than remain in the crowded    ,    deafening bar    ;    the ancient found his body pulling him to the office eric kept.    on multiple occasions heâd been told that he could go there    ,    to get away    ;    though for the most part had been confined to remaining near his progeny or grand - child.    as it would have it    â    fortune dawned upon him    ,    allowing him some peace & quiet within the much more petite area.    & from what he understood    ,    no one was allowed inside. so    â    color the creature surprised when a knock    ,     followed by a voice    ,     breaks his silence.     â    itâs not a bother at all    ,    please    ,    come in.    â    the smaller    ,    though far more antique    ,    being reassured kindly.    if memory served    ,    this young woman was billâs progeny.    which meant    ,    she was a friend amongst them.    soft smile lingered to teen - esque features    ,    chair pushed with the tip of his shoe to allow her a place to seat herself & to show that she was indeed invited in.    â    what is it i can do for you    ,    sweetheart    ? â
@roseguided insisted â i can't talk about it. not tonight. â / pam.
WHAT WAS THE GRAND    -    SIRE TO DO    ?    if she wanted to deny him the conversation    ,    it would be foolish    (    if not modestly cruel    )    to push it any further.    hand carefully extended    ,    softly taking hold of her own    ;    lips pressed to the still lenient skin of her knuckles    ,    a silent apology & a silent acknowledgment of her wishes.    eventually they would have to broach the discussion    â    but    ,    until then    ,    he would allow them to carry on as if nothing had happened.    of course    ,    this hadnât been the first human that theyâd done away with    ,    which only allowed the question to linger longer in his mind.    had they made a mistake    ?    perhaps sheâd known him personally    ?    digits carefully intertwined with the young blondeâs own    ,    guiding her away from the alley outside.    instead    ,    in silence    ,    he brought her back to their shared huddle.    to the place that he kept    ,    along with his progeny    ,    & the otherâs own.
â    have i ever told you about the first human i cared for. the only one that haunted me , after i tormented & destroyed them    ?    â    voiced chimed in after heâd closed the door    ,    allowing them some privacy.    attention settled on the woman    ,    beginning to take off his coat.    there was only one main difference between them.    pamela had always killed as a vampire    ;    godric had killed many times as a human.    â    it was many years ago.    .    .    the ones you care for are always the hardest.    â
ever faint whisper of a smile traces modestly painted lips , fragments of what had remained , minute contentment . " ... yep , that's me ! i take it you've heard of me ? " but of course he had , who hadn't amongst the supernatural grapevine . she was , after all , the original tribrid ; the only of her kind . even if one wasn't inclined towards gossip , they'd be bound to hear of her at least once .
" well , if you're a friend of min fadir , you're a friend of mine . please , come in , i insist . " a beat . " oh , um , what'd you say your name is ? "
HOW VERY FORTUNATE HE HAD BEEN TO MEET SUCH ROYALTY    ;    admittedly    ,    the elder was not one for vampiric gossip    ,    words passed amongst others often only tools to torture & torment those they didnât feel earned their respect.    or maybe the ex - sheriff had simply grown tired of the cliquish antics his own kind seemed to delve in.    secrets & whispers had never been pleasing to him    ,    though he couldnât have helped but overhear a few of his workers commenting on a tribrid gracing their timeline.    a little research & the gaul had quickly figured out that it was true    â    & that the father of said creature was one heâd known very well in the olden days. a pleased nod is the reply given    ,    though swedish waltzes to ears like a beautiful sonata    ,    & lips tug happily at his features.    â    pratar du svenska?    â    the creature questioned    â    you speak swedish?    not many seemed to where she lived.    an unnecessary beath before he spoke again.    âgodric.    your father & i    .    .    .    we met long ago.    i must say    â    i was a little surprised when i heard he bore a child.    â
â you're not doing this alone. â / persephone
EXHAUSTION CAME THROUGH DEEP    ,    HEAVY BREATHS    ;    the warrior wouldnât back down    ,    not after what heâd seen from these foreigners.    they didnât belong to the deep    ,    beautiful forests    ,    ones that spring herself blessed with her very presence.    it was always a pleasure to see her & a deep sadness to witness her descent.    admittedly though    ,    the soldier had been fortunate in meeting the gods & goddesses he worshipped.    on bent knee would he welcome the arrival of their kind    ,    & have the gratification to wave them off.    no one had been there quite like the mythical since his parentsâ death    ,    not even the village    â    though theyâd been fairly kind to him in his mourning.    something connected him to them.    something no one else in his home or far would ever understand.
â    go.    â    voice stern    ,    yet full of true love & belief for the goddess.    pain stained side    ,    liquid crimson seeping from between his fingers.    one of the strangers had struck him with something sharp.    something his own people had never seen before    â    but godric had seen its power.    the way it cut through his own family    ,    screams & howls heard throughout the shrubbery.    heâd been able to get the woman away    ,    though couldnât say the same for many of the others.    honestly    ,    he wasnât entirely sure what these monsters wanted.    smoke clouded the sky    ,    indicating that his home would soon turn to ash    ,    & nothing more.    still    ,    he could hear them wandering    ,    searching for what was never theirs. he had to keep her safe    ,    words a hushed plea    â    â    i will be fine.    please.    they will hurt you.    i have no importance    â    but you    .    .    .â    voice trailed off    ,    hand softly cupping her features.    heâd die before they took her away from him.

@sccruel ASKED, â đđïč đđđđ đđ đđđđđđ đđđđđ đđđđ  đđ đđđđđđđđâđ đđđ . ( đđđ đđđ & đđđđđđđđ )
đđđđđ đđđđđđđđ & đđđđđđđđ đđđđ đđđ. calliope leaned back against the thick bark of a tree , a canopy of bright colored leaves hang overhead just enough to filter through warm sunlight. it was peaceful for the moment with the world stretched out before them & she , for now , was more than happy to allow this boy some peace of mind. it was the least she could offer considering his current situationâin truth , though she hadnât know godric long by any means , she felt a sense of protectiveness over him. the way a mother does their child & in a way that makes her want to shield him the way she couldnât her own ! ( the fate of her only child , orpheus , still feels like a stab to her heart. a pain that wonât ever go away. could you blame her for wanting to gravitate toward someone she could help , protect , or in the least comfort ? ) ; the young boy lays his head quietly upon her lap of soft , pale blue dress. the action takes her a little by surprise , but she does not disregard him or ask him to stop. calliope simply allows it , smiles inwardly , & comes to rest a hand against his brown head of hair. fingers stroke against the hair at his hairline in soothing , comforting motions. â godric , â comes gentle tone of voice. â what is it that troubles you so today , sweet boy ? â a moment of silence follows , â might it be anything i could he of use with ? that i could make better . . somehow. â perhaps the greek muse could inspire the men to be kinder.
ROMAN CAPITAL HAD BROUGHT NOTHING BUT PAIN & SUFFERING    ;    years of joy & laughter shadowed by the most gruesome events.    what had the savage    (    as they so fondly called him    )    done to deserve such treatment    ?    why did he have to spend day after day in confinement    ,    deliberately tormented for sins he never committed.    the gaul had fought so hard to avoid entrapment    ,    had done his best to keep hidden or run as far as a warriorâs legs would allow    â    but    ,    alas itâd been no use.    eventually the militants found & captured the teenager    ,    dragging him through layer after layer of hell.    & for what    ?    lack of knowledge from the more civilized nation.    the tribal had begun to assume that perhaps it was simply some sick & twisted enjoyment on the mastersâ parts.    like an inside joke    ,    only privy to those whoâd been born into such pleasant homes    ,    rather than sold & controlled    ,    forced to do the romanâs bidding    â    or feel the wrath of such disdainful men.   Â
but moments like this were what he craved    ,    what he waited & prayed for    â    to whatever deity would listen    ,    the many that there were.    this motherly creature seemed to answer his call.    somehow theyâd managed to get away from the buildings    ,    from the cityâs noise & bustle.    somehow they were able to lay in the grass    ,    beneath the great sunshine.     something the young man craved & missed every single day.    most of his days were spent in a cell    ,    the sunshine hidden & along with any sort of meal that might be tossed his way.    if he was being completely honest    ,    he didnât care how theyâd gotten away from the pain    ,    only that he was far from it.
eyelids slowly fluttered at the sound of sweet symphony    ,    clouded hues lifting to look at the woman speaking.    what could she do    ?    for him    ?    nothing.    he could ask nothing of her    ,    not after sheâd granted him this simple reprieve.    the feeling of digits against his hair cause body to relax once more    ,    his own toying with the fabric of the dress he laid upon.    head softly shakes in riposte.    there was nothing she could do for him    ,    other than lay here.    he knew that the moment she disappeared    ,    heâd have to go back into his cage.    body had already been torn to shreds    ,    brutal weaponry equivalent to a childâs toy in his masterâs hands.    body ached    ,    wounds resurfacing each day with a pain that the gaul had never been able to imagine before.    even in their peaceful encounter    ,    the combatant couldnât comfortably lay still.    but just being near the young woman was enough for him.
there was nothing she could do for him    â    except perhaps    ,    â    donât leave    .    .    . please.    â    the smaller nearly begged delicately.
