The reader-to-fanfic-reader pipeline is so exhausting especially if you’re neurodivergent bc wdym I used to go through five books a week and now a new story can’t even hold my attention bc it’s not a beautifully written marauders era fanfic or like irondad or some shit written by a fifteen year old who’s first language isn’t English and keeps getting updates pushed back bc of traumatic events in their personal life???

Like it might just be bc I’m on the spectrum and familiar plot lines and characters are comforting but I want to go back to ENJOYING NEW BOOKS gosh darn it 😭

People talk about Prim being doomed by the narrative but that's nothing in context to Lenore Dove.

If she hadn't died the way she did then Snow would have found a way to get her killed to punish Haymitch and also she was a Covey Girl who was also a BAIRD. Snow was not going to let her live. Even without all her acts of rebellion.

I keep imagining Snow making sure to get her reaped for the next games and make sure she dies in a Maysilee kind of way to show Haymitch and maybe even Lucy Gray wherever she may be at that time.

However I tried to think of her, there was no way Lenore Dove was going to see the end of Sunrise on Reaping Day.

The fun thing about the covey is that they’re all double doomed by the narrative, the story they live in and the stories they’re named after. If I were an expecting covey mom I’d name my baby after mary had a little lamb or something - they must realize they’re setting their fates at some point lmao. Maybe that’s why Barb Azure departed from Covey conventions when naming Burdock.

Watching 911 for the first time is an absolute rollercoaster realising that people thinking Buck and Eddie should be together is not just a simple fan shipping thing but it feels like it’s like purposefully and INTENSELY written into this show????

“You can have my back any day” from Eddie to Buck then a few episodes later Shannon saying “i just needed someone to have my back”

Eddies hand stretching out towards Buck when he’s been shot and then noticing blood on his shirt and asking him if HES okay eventhough he’s on the verge of death??

Don’t get me started on them co parenting Christopher, that is a family right there.

I had seen SO many posts about them before I started watching and now that I’m making my way through it like???? How is this not the obvious pairing???
