A gentle smile spread onto Aichi’s face at the small tone used by the cadet, optics narrowing softly. Though a pang struck him upon hearing that there was no-one to turn to in his home world, his grip tightened and face inched closer. “Then allow me to be the one that listens to your feelings, if there’s no-one else that can do so.

I’ll help you shed that burden, so that it won’t crush you. Even in your world, people would understand, given it would affect your performance. But for me— us, he see it as a human heart in need of help before it breaks. And you’re my friend, so I need to be there to help out in any way that’s possible so that you’re not struggling along anymore”. He couldn’t help but feel almost forceful, but it was wholehearted determination to aid his companion that spurned him on, to ensure his message got across as strongly and honestly as possible.

"Are you sure despite everything that had happened your universe? I really don't.....want to add..." his voice trailed softly in the last sentence. The cadet felt grateful to be seen as a friend of Blaster, but he was against placing burden on him.

He saw the other jump at the mention of paperwork. Which meant one of two things; one, he’d forgotten about his own or two, he’d been stuck with someone else’s. The brunet chuckled a bit at the other’s reply.

"Nah I’m not too busy. I’ve just put off a few reports that’re due soon so I’m trying to get them done." He waved his hand airily, not minding the other’s interruption. "I was due for a break soon anyways."

Aichi's cheeks flushed pink at the man's chuckle. "Ah...maybe I can let you finish..." he said softly, peeking up towards Hidaka's head. Aichi had a couple reports to work on and been called to deliver some paperwork and packages to the other sections. Those reports related to his time patrolling the areas. Aichi smiled sheepishly at his own work.

At hearing that term 'break', he suddenly snapped out of wavering pass thoughts. "Ah...Hidaka-san...do you...have anything in mind to do during your break? maybe we can...do something?" In asking the other, it had took a bit of courage and confidence to say it. Aichi intended that maybe spending time with another comrade of Scepter 4 would result in a friendship.

*happens to be passing through the area. he sees someone of whom he believes is aichi; there’s such a distance between them, the most kai can make out is the color of the hair and the stoutness of the height. as he prepared an approach, his cell phone sounded and the majority of his attention shifted to that. out the corner of his eye, he thought he may have been seen, but even if he had he wouldn’t have much time to talk in private now. instead, he left the area. but once his call was finished, he sent his cadet a brief message via text: ” I want to see you. Meet me later, if you have the time.” *

*a moment passed before he decided to deliver another note: “And happy birthday.”*

Aichi stopped in his tracks to look out of the Quater's tall glass windows. The rays of sunlight were dimmer than earlier today as it was close to sunset time. Despite the paperwork he had to do and making deliveries from one section to another, even on his special day, it wasn't enough to deter his spirits. It was due to hearing from friends he had met. Soon, a saddened feeling tugged at his chest at an image appeared on his mind.

Aichi had encountered him in unique ways, and it happened quite a bit. Sooner or later, he automatically thinks of him from time to time. That sad feeling gave a tight hold at the bottom of his heart. This day was almost over and he had not seen him. He secretly wished to see him. He sadly admitted it after trying to push from denial of that image of the red clansmen. Head lowered with his bangs casting over his eyes.

Then, a minute later, a buzz vibrated in his pocket. He took out his phone probably thinking it was someone who knows who....then eyes widened and mouth agape when opening the message.

Aichi almost dropped the papers in folders he held close to his chest and let his phone slip out of his fingertips. Eyes swelled, and bringing his phone close to him with shaky hands, a smile graced his lips. A smile of desired happiness and wish had come true.

Aichi quickly texted back: "All right. where should we meet?" And sent. He had thought for a moment before sending if he should say anything more, but he'll save it when he meets Kai in person.

Aichi rushed to get his work done before getting himself ready.

At the mention of the word "work", Aichi almost jumped in his spot. He had almost forgot due to the sudden happiness washed over him hearing from friends and thinking about them. "Ah..ahh... its... I'm doing fine." He gave a sheepish laugh.

"Ah....you're busy? Sorry to disturb you..." Aichi said with a frown along with an apologetic bow.
