I just wanted to say that Dawid’s victory is so precious and sweet because he had always been waiting for so long. He never was the most talented kid. No success came to him easily. He got his very first world cup points in his 32nd competition and 6th season (quali included). Fans in Poland always laughed at him that he only knows how to jump in the summer, because he usually was doing better in the SGP. He took his first world cup podium at the age of 27. But he was so hardworking and patient through all those years and slowly was climbing to the top.
And then the brighter days have come. First of all, a gold medal in team competition in Lahti. I remember how worried we all were that he’s not as good as the rest of the team but he did his best and I’m pretty sure that team Poland wouldn’t get that medal without him. In the next season he reached world cup podium for the first time. Then more top 3 result came, as well as the first world cup victory. And eventually his biggest achievement - the gold medal in Seefeld.
Okay, I remember what happened in Seefeld. Without a ton of good luck in his second jump Dawid wouldn’t win. But to be fair - he was on the top in trainings and I’m sure he could win without the wind lottery. He deserved this.
And today, the brightest day when he won 4 Hills Tournament - not because of the weather conditions, not because of rivals’ failures, just because of his good jumps in all 4 competitions. He just earned it.

people were always shitting on Dawid, calling him talentless and other brutal words I’m not gonna mention. now he is proving that he is the opposite - talented, brilliant, elegant champion.
I, personally, am very moved by his victory, because I always had a soft spot for him, cheering for him from the early beginning. I just felt that he is going to achieve great things and finally - here we are.
