I hate summer, i feel like everyone is doing smth life changing every day and i do so little nor do i have the health to do much :)))

#i mean today was nice visiting my sister at the boat but my mood goes south every time i go on social media #checked the plane that flew over me and it came from tokyo and i wanna travel :(#I've never really done it and i feel so behind not having done it #I'm just in a transition phase now where I'm finishing up one part of therapy and starting another where i go out more with a person to work #on my anxiety and they'll also help me move out when the time is right #but it just feels so big and scary and exhausting that it seems easier to not exist #earlier i was thinking like what if i meet people who actually are including and invite me to do fun stuff because honestly my old #friends didn't i had to make up stuff and invite myself cause they hanged out without me #and i felt optimistic but rn I'm so exhausted i just wanna go cry in my room and the future seems hopeless #ignore #rants

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.
