This weekend has been so incredibly exhausting and it’s still only Saturday evening at the moment. I have a test Monday which is the primary stressor, but I also have a research paper due for my masters class and my car battery died yesterday when I was about to drive my bf to the train station -I know this is generally manageable since it died in my driveway, but this is the first time I’ve ever had any kind of problem with my car so it was much more stressful than it needed to be. Looking forward to Monday being over so I can actually start studying for the next two exams I have 😵‍💫

writing is the only method i know :(. i can remember if i write what i’m learning and it also helps to read it out loud as if giving lecture. and that’s it *sobs again*.

-> today i just revisited some notes before my mid-term and let me tell you this: i rocked it ehehehe! then i treated myself with a filter coffee with millk before the next class :].

my social anthropology lecture was amazing yesterday because for the second half, we had two surprise guest speakers who were indigenous Amazonian anthropologists! it was so interesting to hear about their communities and also how they are telling the stories and experiences of their own cultures!

We're taking today easy uwu~ My plan is to do some self-study of Korean for most of the day ( I'm working through TTMIK's my first 500 Korean words ) & revising my mandarin vocab so that it sticks. Besides that I'm hanging out in a friends livestream & hoping to read a whole HEAP today.

My desk setup is just so cozy 🧡 One of the best things about working from home the last couple years for me has been developing a real coziness in my desk and apartment. I took a new job recently where I will be in person more and it’s definitely bittersweet!

a late post from me today because i’ve been pretty busy! i had a meeting with my advisor of studies today to choose and officially enrol in my course for this semester and i am so so excited to start them! i will be doing three modules this semester:

compulsory international relations module: concepts in global politics

philosophy elective: moral and political controversies 

social anthropology elective: anthropology in the world
