Chico State's School Of The Arts

The School of the Arts is comprised of two departments in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts — the Department of Music & Theatre, and the Department of Art and Art History. Ensembles include the North State Symphony, Jazz X-Press, Chico State Bands, Opera Workshop, and the CSU, Chico Choir. Each year we present six or more theatre productions including the Chico State Spring Musical. The School of the Arts galleries include The Turner and University Art Gallery, among others.

Auditions for Fall Theatre Productions CSU, Chico’s School of the Arts will be presenting several virtual theatre productions during the Fall 2020 semester.

If you are a CSU, Chico student and interested in participating:

• Fill out an audition form @ https://forms.gle/pycWx2EEAUy9cKhG7

• Submit a two-minute video of a song and a monologue OR two contrasting monologues. 

• Read the Chico State Theatre Casting Policy prior to completing the audition form. https://www.csuchico.edu/muta/_assets/documents/theatre-handbook-2019.pdf

• If singing, prepare a contemporary song or musical theatre song and provide their own accompaniment (recorded tracks are fine). A quick rundown on video auditions can be found at https://youtu.be/cbg9AKq90fo

• Performers are asked to create their submission as an unlisted video on Youtube. Instructions on how to upload an unlisted video to Youtube can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOr7JluzEOM
