I always want to live the California dream. At 23 yrs old I was there, living in a house in Sorrento, a nice one. Living near the university area. I had the opportunity for spend the best times ever there. One day I was walking back home and see our neighbors passing me in their cars coming with more friends, all of them students from Chico State. Particularly, one of them look at me and smile. That was the first time we know the existence of each other.
Next day, I was with my best friend and roomie, messing around in the living room and someone ring the door. Our third member of the house went to check and there he was.. the neighbor. I was so quiet, like nobody exist, but then he came into the house next to our roomie, again I was like nothing big happen, he step till kitchen and said “Hi”, we reply and I back my face to nowhere. Trying to avoid everything else and not paying attention about what they talk about. When he left, my best friend look at me and we both said “it’s mine” “not is mine”. How cute isn’t it , right? my friend asked. I response: don’t know, but he smile it’s. He look at me and know I was in trouble.
Few days later, I was at the library trying to do my homework, then I receive a text from my best friend exciting more than a girl about having in his backyard our neighbor. He and my other roomie was taking a tea and smoking hooka outside, when our roomie see the neighbor parking his car, immediately invited to our house. Of course, after a minutes my best friend couldn’t resist, he stand up and mentioned is a kind of late and need pick up to someone (that was me).
So here we go, my friend was waiting outside the campus and hurry me more than my mom trying to don’t miss more time. In our way to the house I saw my friend was more impatient than me, so I tried to behave, be cool, right like nothing happen. I can’t keep out of my mind his perfect smile. So that’s coming up our first face to face.
