I love Fernsong because he is different *in theory*. If the Hunters weren't so set in their misogynistic ways, I am sure we would have had more nursery kings like Fernsong and even Dustpelt and Breezepelt. You directing your anger at the fans instead of, I don't know, the writers? It's not it.

I am sure there are Fernsong fans out there that are that way, but making out ALL Fernsong fans to be that way makes you out to be a hypocrite.

I will never forgive how the internet has and continues to treat Doechii. Her music is so beautiful and I hate that the small sample she had was the "Let's go through this audio until people are tired of hearing it" crowd getting ahold of it. Or how people would be "Ugh, I thought it was this one song I like, not THIS one 🙄🙄🙄🙄."

And I just know it's the racism. I hate TT and IG because of this. I haven't touched either of them in so long and don't plan to anytime soon. If people listened to the song, they'd know how good it is. I don't mean to compare, but to point something out, feels like how people went to Kendrick for just his beef with Drake instead of listening to his music and lyrics.

Sorry, I love music and went through one too many music appreciation classes to know how society (specifically white people) treats these artists with their music. And it's so ironic (idk the word rn, but idk if it's irony) that said music is criticizing these types of people.

TLDR; People need to stop listening to just samples of music and genuinely listen to what was written and sung.

Saw someone posting art sexualising lobotomies, so I left a little comment like "hey cool art but can we not try to make ableist violence a cute edgy punchline pls and ty" and the AMOUNT of hate I got for that. I am generally very pro weird/kink/graphic art, especially in the era of AI, digital surveillance and modern purity culture, but trying to make lobotomies look cute/quirky/edgy is in poor taste at best. there’s a notion I’ve seen people spread that I don’t like when it comes to deltarune human designs ( I don’t think it’s wrong to see the monsters as white bc I sure do for a few of them ). but when people hc characters as black ( say specifically Noelle + berdly ) people jump to “oh! Well Noelle can’t be black, she’s a corny preppy rich girl!” “Berdly can’t be black, he’s and annoying nerd.” What makes you think black people cant act like this 😭

Do you think being rich and living in the suburbs + being nerdy and corny is white exclusive traits 😭 do you think being silly or geeky or dainty and soft are traits black people cant have 😭 like it really shows that people think of certain personalities as “white default” and if a black person acts that way its unrealistic . I think you need to unpack what you think a black person should behave like for you to think this way 😭😭😭😭

The thing is I was so pleasantly surprised that it was such a widely accepted hc to think of tenna as black!!! I was genuinely so happy about that!! ( esp tenna being so layered and complicated and not being that great a person all the time) we get happy seeing people treating black people as actual human beings!!! The bare minimum!!!

But I think it just holds a conversation about the way people push black people / characters in the box all the time. Like we’re not allowed to flawed/imperfect/be annoying/ get upset or angry be short tempered like other characters or they’re seen as “aggressive” “unreasonable” or a racist depiction bc they dare show a human emotion . But if they have no flaws / relatively sweet, geeky and silly, animated or bubbly but people say they “aren’t interesting” or find them “boring. “Too much” “I care about the other characters more”.

I don’t think there should be a justification or “a reason” for characters can be black . They’re just people, but the way talk about this makes it feel like there needs to be a reason. You just don’t see them as human enough to coexist with everyone else.

Especially with blue being introduced in this newest chapter ( THE MOST EXPLICITLY BLACK CODED DELTARUNE CHARACTER BTW ) who is a kind, gentle and feminine gender non conforming black man people have truly just don’t know how to behave.

( denying his blackness in the first place bc of how he acts. “he’s blue, not black”) whitewashing him by straightening his hair ( he literally has locs in his sprite) or finding some excuse to not care about him at all. like we know exactly the type of people you are if this is how you react to the very explictly black coded character in general 😭

hi! need help affording water and food this week!

okay so uh! going to put art fight stuff on hold probably! We really need some help. My partner's paid time off didn't go through and we're in some big trouble this week. Our fridge has been a bit busted for a while now, so we've been having to buy water, and we don't have much for an electricity bill, nonetheless water. And with it being in the 90s and 100s lately (and in the 70s and 80s INSIDE the house), that is uh! Dangerous.

I was going to open up comms in August to give myself time to prepare, but I may end up opening them early. Either way, FOR NOW, I'm gonna gesture over to some places if you're able to just throw a few bucks our way. I'm very willing to do a clean-ish sketch in return.
