Yellow Submarine (1968)
I sat alone in front of my mirror, staring deeply at my flawed body. I stared at my stretchmarks, crawling around my stomach and butt. I stared at my cellulite, poking from within my skin; my bumpy, rough thighs. I squished my belly fat with the palm of my hand as little hairs sprouted all around my body. I hated it, I hated it so much. It was so imperfect. I felt a warmth around my naked body, it was my soul. "Love yourself" she begged me, "love yourself for you are a masterpiece of natural disasters; the raw human. Love yourself the way no one else can, for you are the carrier of the most beautiful thing the world has to offer, you." I said to myself as I clenched my skin tighter...
Your soul is in love with you
~R
Love your body. Your body is a kaleidoscope of agony, pain, scars, marks, stretches and bumps. Your body is the mirage in a desert; every single flaw is beautiful. Every pouch of fat, every little hair sprouting out of your caramel skin; they all make you, you. Love your body for it has survived natural disasters, heart break, self harm and love. Love your body, it is the only one we get, the only one that will be there for you through thick and thin.
the only damn thing that will love you no matter what, you.

Numb. My mind has become numb, stale to the world around me. I feel nothing, I feel empty at the superficial world around me; the world that talks about issues that don't particularly bother me. The world that would rather spend months discussing how one should lose weight rather than how one can help change the world. My generation is numb. It became numb the moment we were raised to be mindless robots rather than to make a change. Numb; where we just don't feel anymore because we've felt too much. Numb; a feelingless fleeting existence is what we've become.
I’ve become so numb

Never give up. Stand tall and strong even when times look bleak. Work hard, believe in yourself and look forward with optimism. People will always try to pull you down, some times it will be the ones dearest to you. Don’t let peoples words pave your path, pave your destiny. No, only you can do that. No one, no matter how beloved, should have the power to tear you down piece by piece. Let words said in the air fly by, the only true thing that defines you is action. Believe in yourself. Never give up. Everything will work out at the end. Till then, just remember to love yourself no matter what.
~R//Please read this if you ever feel hopeless and demotivated, no matter whats happening in anyones life right now, we all just need to love ourselves and move forward.
It's okay to have body hair; its okay to shave the hair off. It's okay to love your stretch marks and cellulite; its okay to use creams to reduce the appearance. It's okay to keep your hair long and thick; it's okay to keep it short and manageable. It's okay for women to do as they please with their bodies. To not shame a woman for her choices, letting her be beautiful in her own skin is what we as a society should do; as the most beautiful thing a woman wears on herself is confidence.
confidence is the sexiest thing about you.

You
You’re special, you know. You like to shrug your abilities off, you like to smirk and gaze down towards the ground whenever someone says anything good about you, thinking they were just being nice.
You are special. You are the merging of all of the constellations in the sky, the deep colours of the Northern Lights, and the soft grey clouds that accentuate your shine. You are the beauty in the dark sky, the painting of the milky way. People lay down on the wet, prickly grass, watching the beauty in the sky that is you. Thousands and thousands of little details making up the masterpiece that is you. There is only one milky way, there is only one you. I wont find another you, I wont find the thousands of stars to make up the beauty that is you, you are everything good in this universe, in one soul.
I see the beauty in you, I see the magic in you, I can only hope that someday, you see the miracle in you.

Many people tend to laugh at me when I share my dreams with them. They chuckle in disbelief, citing my goals, and ultimately the thing that gives my life substance, as sheer nonsense. They laugh hysterically in their little cubicles, sitting inside the box of reality, the tiny 4 corners that dictate the limits to their dreams. Little do they know, that outside the box of “reality”, lays the undefined limits to happiness, success, and substantial meaning to life. Oh, if only they knew.

Words, Letters, Sentences. Being a writer allows one to unlock the world that has been hidden in ones brain. The key to unlock that world lies within the finger tips of the creator, isn't it magical? How often we doubt ourselves, our abilities to perform, our intelligence and talent; or lack thereof. How often we forget that the world we've created was just waiting to be explored by millions of others; all of this right at our fingertips. And that by itself, is the best gift that a human can possess.
the next time you feel talentless, read this.
