lovvell:
“Man, this place has been nothing but boring… Where’s the excitement?”
Ever since Hiraeth had been now his residence, Yuri just felt his emotions slipping for what possibly had been a worst in a long time. He was slacking in his school work, was late getting to deadlines and pretty much distanced himself from everyone. It weren’t really anything personal, he just was too lazy to even start it.
Why should he make the effort if he’ll be leaving eventually? He didn’t really want to keep in contact with anyone. Though, truth be told, he was thinking of those that he had left behind.
Perhaps there was some way he could see them again… and out of here, for that matter. He flicked over his induction paper that he had, glancing over the rules of the Academy, particularly at the point where it was instructed that students are unable to reach the portal back.
“Hmph. There’s no way they’re keeping me out because of a stupid system. I’m gonna get the hell out of here.”
He put the paper back in his pocket and discreetly left the corridors, making his way to the portal for what he hoped to be his trip back home.
Some may call it a sixth sense, Flynn’s ability to somehow always sense when his childhood friend was going to do something stupid. He’d been at Hiraeth a little under two hours and already, Flynn felt that usual unease in the pit of his stomach that told him Yuri Lowell was about to get into trouble. With a sigh, the blond continued down the hallway, not expecting much of anything to happen. Even though the feeling sat in his gut, he couldn’t imagine the two of them would be lucky enough to wind up in the same bizarre school.
As he rounded a corner, seeing a familiar head of dark hair headed into the teleportarium, clearly labelled by the sign above the door, Flynn thought that he might just have assumed things far too quickly.
With a quickened pace, Flynn hurried to the door, catching it just before it closed behind Yuri. He’d read the letter as well, viewed the rules over painstakingly as he did not want to anger whatever entity controlled this place. He knew that the portals to return home was off limits, and even the Orilon portal was off limits during the weekdays!
“Yuri Lowell!” Flynn snapped, arms folding across his chest as he watched his friend approach the home portals with an swiftness reserved only for people who knew they were going to get in trouble if caught.
“Those are off limits, and I know that you know that!”
