Hey guys, so I recently entered into a tighter financial situation than I feel comfortable with. There’s not a whole lot of room for things to go wrong and over the months, it will almost certainly get even tighter, so I’d like to open up some commissions to widen the buffer I’ve got before things get worse.

All rates are in USD.
Writing
Roughly $1 / 100 words, meaning a 2.5k fic/drabble would be worth $25. You can look through this blog for examples of writing. I will write anything from any fandom I recognize, and I am willing to do research into characters I may not be so familiar with. Things I will not write: excessively detailed gore, sexual nsfw content. Pieces start at 500 words.
Art
This is my universal art tag across all blogs. Note, my personal has some older documented art. Same rules for drawing as for writing- will draw any fandom, will research for references, and no smut or excessive gore. Included in the sexual nsfw is kink/fetish art. Sorry guys, not my cup of tea. Rates for this are far more complex.
Sketch : $5-$10 depending on complexity.

Coding
I can code themes ( examples 1 2 3 4 ) and I can also code pages ( examples 1 2 3 ). Rates for these are much more flexible and one-on-one basis. Some things to point out: I will only use press/official art of your character unless you can provide screencaptured permission from the artist to use fanart. I will provide you a disclaimer message you may use to request the art from them. I am not responsible for finding and obtaining permission on fanart. I will provide a discount if you wish to bundle an art commission with a coding commission. Expect these to run from $10-$30 depending on how complex you want the theme/page to be.
Misc Graphics
I can do icon PSDs, graphics ( theme backgrounds, online/offline, starter call, etc ) although the same rules apply as with coding-related art, I can also do icons themselves. These are much cheaper- $5 for a PSD or a graphic and $10 for 100 icons.
Tutoring
Wow what a random thing to put on commissions, right? But I can tutor you! I have a certified minor in math, and tutored it for 2 years at college. I also excel in English and Science classes. I can tutor you in coding as well. I won’t do your homework for you, though. But this is way more flexible, so go ahead and message me for personal rates.
Overall, expect 1-2 weeks turnaround for most projects, as I’m pretty busy. Art may take longer, due to the fact that I can code/write at work, but I can’t draw. Hey so my car has fucked up twice now and I have no idea if it’ll cost me even more to get it fixed or if this place is going to like honor their shitty fix up or some shit. But yeah commissions would be super helpful to get me through this shitty time.
I guess it’s time for me to officially make an announcement then huh? I know I left this blog a loooong time ago but I’m not gone from the Tales fandom. I’ve moved back to an older muse of mine that’s very dear to my heart-- Raven from Tales of Vesperia. He has a well-established Xillia verse now, so if any of my old partners here wants to still write with me and aren’t familiar with Vesperia have no fear!
I’m also keeping my Elle @keyofkresnik active, but she is a side muse and Raven will always take precedence. But I’m always happy to throw her at people for short little things.

Okay, so finishing my thesis just meant I get swamped by final exams. And I’ve had free time, but I’ve mostly been too exhausted to write when I do. I’ll be done my exams on the 25th, but then I’ll be moving in temporarily with my parents, spending a week with a friend from the other side of the country, dealing with my graduation, and then spending all summer going back to China to visit relatives. When I come back in the fall, I need to find a place to live and then go straight into my research MSc
Basically, I don’t think I’ll be able to be active here for a very long time. It’s a hectic point of my life and there’s going to be a lot of big upheavals. I don’t know how much the community and my interest will change during this time, so I can’t guarantee that I’ll return, at least on this blog. There’s plenty of good Ludgers around though, and I’ve been inactive for months anyways so I don’t see this as an issue

I just handed in my thesis, the thing that’s kept me basically offline since January. I’d be really happy, but I think all the exhaustion has just caught up to me and I don’t wanna do anything but crash.
Except I can’t because guess who drank a crapton of caffeine ahahahahah, ah well.
I’ll probably be a lot less stressed once I recover over the next few days. I can’t say I’ll be active and back here because now final exams are starting and I’m still dealing with grad school issues, but I’ll probably be a lot more available for chatting and likely a lot less irritable than I’ve been.

At the age of five, something happened that took the lives of Edward Kresnik's mother and twin brother Ludger-- the resulting trauma of the incident erased the memory of them entirely from his mind. When he is picked up by a 13-year-old Julius, and identified himself by Ludger's name ( did he forget his own name? Or was he simply calling out for his twin? ), his half-brother did not know any better, unable to tell the two apart.
For fifteen years he lives with Julius, a Superviolet drafter, their time spent on and off the streets of Duval. It's been a life full of hardship and lack, but at least they've always had each other.
Edward-turned-Ludger first drafted Green at the age of 13. Since then Julius has tried to teach him as much about drafting as he could, but there is only so much a Superviolet ( detached, distant, impartial ) could do for a Green ( wild and reckless and free ). Still, with a second drafter in their little family of two (even two untrained, unregistered drafters) they were able to gain enough money for a stable, comfortable living.
Thoughts about going to the Chromeria to receive formal training are dashed by the exorbitant tuition, and his background hardly made for an impressive resume to potential sponsors. However, at the age of 20 Ludger drafted Blue ( calm, rational, analytical ). He was a bichrome. Finding a sponsor no longer seemed so impossible.
Finally, he gains a contract with Spirius. They would pay for all 4 years of his instruction, and in exchange upon graduation he would work for the big company for 15 years; a majority, if not the entirety of his remaining life expectancy. But he can't turn down the idea of a steady job, to finally provide for his big brother who had taken care of him his entire life.
Imagine his surprise when on his first day at the Chromeria he meets someone who looks just like him. Named Ludger Kresnik.
Oh, and don't forget the time he accidentally drafted Subred ( pure unreigned emotion ) and officially became a polychrome by setting his newfound twin brother on fire

"Ludger! Jude!" Kresnik couldn't help but let the desperate cry for help escape his lips, despite the futility. Will and Mathis were already back in the village, and what difference could they make in such a one-sided fight? But fear reigns over logic as he repeats the names like a plea, struggling against the soldiers that held him down against the frozen ground, frigid snow scraping painfully across his face.
He felt the bite of cuffs dig into one wrist and he kicks hard against his attackers, trying to dislodge the vice grip holding him in place in a panic because no, no, no, he won't let them take him back, not again, not there, please, he had gone through so much to finally be free why can't they just leave him be?
There was an order to stop struggling and that just makes him fight harder, because he won't submit to them, not again--
A sharp kick to his side takes his breath away and stars explode across his vision. His thrashing stills, replaced by a gasp and his entire body curling up against the pain. A moment later he is roughly pulled to his feet but he doesn't intend to just let them take him. A vicious tug to get free from the hand holding him is met with disproportional violence and his will for rebellion crumples.
He is quiet, listless, gaze ducked to the floor when they brought him back into the prison camp. It was this place, just the sheer presence of the cold walls and the cruelty that clung to its surface that sapped his spirit. A hopelessness he had learned not to fight against because you could never win.
( He thought he had finally won, but they proved him wrong like every other time. Just as he thought he had healed and was ready to fly again, they've clipped his wings once more )
"Sit, Mr. Kresnik."
And wordlessly, he obeys, dully wondering how this little room could feel so much colder than the exposed winter air beyond the cage. He takes his place in the chair, remembering all the times he had sat here before, all those times he had simply ignored their honeyed words as they tried to buy his betrayal against the only person (well, only person of two, he now realized) who had ever given a crap about him in this place.
"We can be civil about this, you know. You can still do your duty to your country. Do the noble thing, and tell us where Mathis and 006D21 is hiding."
The words offered were soft, sympathetic, and suddenly there was fire in Kresnik's eyes again, his blood boiling at the injustice dealt to him and his friends. Noble. As if letting Will and Mathis fall back into their brutal hands was even an option, as if he could ever live with the guilt of that. Kresnik had learned to be selfish, had learned to deal in nothing but equal exchanges; there was nothing these people could offer that was worth the betrayal.
"Ludger, you still have a chance at redemption."
He would rather die first.
"Go fuck yourself."
They don't get any farther than that, the first afternoon. They continued their attempt to coax an answer from him, trip him up, confused him with jumbled words and accusations and threats until very quickly he simply refuses to speak. The interrogator became increasingly frustrated, not understanding why a once-soldier of Elympios would so vehemently defend a Rieze Maxian and an obvious spy.
( Maybe they forget why Kresnik was here in the first place, an act of compassion and basic human decency they still punish him for )
Finally, he lashes out. No. No means no means no. You're not getting anything from me, I don't care about your stupid war. I just don't care, anymore, about anything except Will and Mathis. He starts crying then despite trying to holding back the tears with all his might; he doesn't know what he wants. Keeping Will safe meant never seeing him again, and somehow that hurt more than the thought of being locked up again.
( If only they knew how weak his will truly was. If all they had offered was a promise to allow the two of them to remain together, perhaps he would have broken that night )
Their patience runs out but they see his weakness as progress. They take him to his old cell to stew for the night, and the moment they're gone he curls up around the blanket and bawls. The empty space right next to him is an unbearable chasm, the lack of warmth and love and compassion crushing. The walls closes in, and very soon he was gasping as terror grips his heart and for the first time since anything mattered there was no gentle hand on his shoulder, no soft instructions to just breathe with me, you're safe, I'm here for you.
Sunrise comes an eternity later, longer than all the sleepless nights since they've escaped combined. The door unlocks quietly, swung open on its hinges so delicately compared to the wakeup call he was used to. He almost missed the sound of heavy wood slamming against concrete wall.
The morning starts gentle once more.
"Have you had enough time to consider your position Mr. Kresnik? You must be starving, we can have breakfast right after this unpleasant business is out of the way. Come now, surely you can be reasonable?"
His response is the same, because if this night did anything it was to remind him of the last time he had slept without Will at his side-- and they had been torturing the other. No matter what the cost, he won't let Will be hurt like that again.
One last familiar face shows up, a guard he had come to know well and maybe had even grown fond of. The female guard who would kick down the door every morning, who had snuck him and Will water when they had been sick. There is an urgency in her words as she pleads with him, and for the first time since his return he did not get the sense of being manipulated and lied to. But he turns her down with a shake of his head, because maybe he did like her but he wasn't giving in just because she asked.
( I'm sorry, I know you cared too.)
That's when they stopped playing nice, switching methods with ruthless ease.
They do wear him down, in some ways. He goes from defiant cursing and aggressive attempts to fight back, to crying and pleading and please just stop, I won't tell you anything so please just stop. He doesn't lose his determination to keep the others safe, but the sparks and embers of anger and indignant rage fades away.
( But then they give him fuel again, "we'll find them with or without your cooperation, so spare yourself the indignity. I'm giving you a chance here," and that's all it took to bring him back. No, no fuck you, I won't play this game. )
He hides away the best he can in the scenarios that brought instant joy to his heart. He concentrates hard on the images Will had fed him through so many stories, of sparkling blue waters and pristine, beautiful rock formations blending into beaches of pure white. They were going to build a sand castle, a big one, and catch crabs in the shallows for dinner. Once it was dark, they'd sit around the fire gazing up at a sky filled with stars never visible under the smog of Elympios. It was a vision they couldn't take from him and he clung to that with all his might for strength.
He doesn't remember them letting him sleep, but he's roughly woken with a bucketful of water that spikes cold all the way down to his bones. He gasps and curls inwards at the intruding pain, not noticing as they uncuff him from the chair and pull him out of the room.
He sees the sun rising as they force him to his knees out in the courtyard, shivering violently against the freezing air. They talk to him again, but the words don't quite register in his muddled mind filled with nothing more than a desire to slip back into merciful oblivion.
His head quickly clears as he realizes he's staring up the barrel of a gun. They mention something about the penalty for treason, and his one final chance. He understands.
