I wonder what it must've been like to become an orphan and spend your entire life taking care of your younger brother. Then suddenly at 12 years old, your told that you're a demigod. That from here on out both you and your brother's lives are not going to get any easier. You'll need to learn how to fight monsters just to survive. And spend you lives stuck at a camp to be completely safe.
As an older sister your top priority should be your brother, right? How you'll protect him? Make sure he'll live to see the next day? But no. Your thinking about yourself. Selfish of you, isn't it?How you'll survive. How you'll be able to adapt to this new reality. If you'll even reach your your 18th birthday.
As you're panicking about this, a goddess offers you sanctuary. A place where you're not only accepted but given security of immortality. Who could deny it? To be part of a family wherein your taken cared of. How long has it been since you last felt that?
"Foreswear romantic love forever" That's an easy task but Nico... to leave him? How cruel of you. However just once, can't you pick something for yourself. To be the child your are. Time is ticking and you can feel the eyes of everyone waiting for your decision.
"But you will be free of responsibility. Nico will have the camp counselors to take care of him. And you will have a new family." Bullseye. That hit the mark. The Goddess sweet and enchanting words made you take the oath. Your free of responsibility. Nico will be safe and be taken cared of. You now have a new family. At least that's what you thought.
"As I was saying, I will take Phoebe. And I wish Bianca to go." You felt your body freeze. Why? Why you when so many of your sisters were more experienced. You opened your mouth to protest, making sure to hide your trembling hands. "There is no better way to prove thyself." Zoe said. How foolish of you to think it was all free. All things always came with a price. But it was alright. The Gods were on your side. Your had Artemis' blessing. Prove yourself. Prove yourself.
A few days had passed and you were doing well. You were still alive and walking. The adrenaline of killing monsters and running away from enemies kept you distracted. Distracted from the truth. You missed Nico. You were always by your brother's side. You were never far away from your brother for even a second. Now it had been days. How was he? Did he eat his meals? Did he make freinds? Did anyone bully him? Was he still mad?
When you saw the small figurine of Hades on the pile of junk, you knew you had to take it. Nico would finally complete his collection. A huge teethy smile will spread across his face once he did. Oh how you missed seeing his cute smile. Even the idea of seeing it made you smile softly. You made a mistake. You should've never have taken the offer. After this quest you will go back and stay in the camp. You and Nico together. Both of you training to live in this new world. Together. But everything had a price. And you had to pay for your foolishness.
A giant made of bronze with full Greek battle armor was attacking your friends. This was your fault. You had to do something. If anyone had to sacrifice their life it was you. Nico, I'm sorry. You repeated the words in your head. While you stood below the foot of the giant, ready to enter his interior. As you were figuring the death switch of the giant machine. When gravity did its work you said you final words, "I just wanted to be a kid." You felt tears spilling from your eyes. "Nico, I'm sorry."
Hehe just wanted to give my perspective of the character and her thoughts. Always thought Bianca regretted her decision to leave Nico. Though she did enjoy the blessing and immortality given to her, she missed and wanted to be by Nico's side throughout the quest. In BOTL I understand why she didn't show herself to Nico (if she always appeared everytime he called, how would Nico let go?) Plus Nico was stubborn and blinded by anger to bring her back. He wouldn't have listened to her, so she had to take a different approach. Anw her leaving to be reincarnated is valid (I will forever delude myself that Bianca did tell Nico, they both said their goodbyes with each other, Nico was sad but he understood)
