One of my favorite dumb pokémon trivia things is that when Scyther evolves into Scizor it's total stat value doesn't change. It doesn't get stronger, it doesn't get weaker, it just gets different. It's like, Scyther says "hey I'm just some guy. I enjoy jogging."

And then Scizor is all "hey guess what I'm still just some guy but who cares about jogging now that I wrapped myself in tin foil and found my missing kitchen knife?"
