YES YES YES. People act like hospital staff don’t ever hook up or fall in love with each other. I have a treasure trove of stories from working at the hospital and let me tell you sometimes it’s like watching a telenovela up in there.

The beauty of The Pitt is that the writers know how to brilliantly give us moments that are meaningful without hitting us over the head with obvious writing. We aren’t expecting physical intimate scenes but I would love emotionally intimate scenes more than anything. I mean, I wouldn’t hate a kiss or two either.

I hate the critique "this isn't Grey's Anatomy" like sorry I love these characters and want to see them as real people. So I want them to fall in love, that isn't a crime.

I want silly cases. I want holiday seasons. I want to know their backstories. I want them to be real people.

Robby and Santos are just two bitches with trauma and PTSD who are shitty to the people around them because they are in the perils of mental illness. They push people away because they don't think they deserve love. They can be cruel because all they do is hurt inside. Not saying it's okay but it's their truth.

I really hope it becomes canon that Mel is autistic or AuDHD as explicitly stated on the show or becoming a storyline where she gets diagnosed or gets therapy for it. Because as an autistic person who is very similar to Mel, it would be so impactful. People either assume when you are autistic that you are the Becca type which is meaningful representation but so is high functioning autistic people. We are just seen as quirky or shy or a lot.

Her loneliness is so relatable because people don't understand autistic people so they dismiss them. Friendships and romantic relationships take effort which is exhausting. And on top of that she's dealing with caretaker fatigue. And working a stressful and sensory intense job. She must feel so exhausted and alone. And people never say the word "autistic" for people like Mel and myself.
