Holiday Travel: Stress Free
With the holiday season in full swing, travel is an idea shared by many people. But the race should not be as bad as many think. Here are some ideas to keep the tension down and the holiday joy to even the most delayed journeys. As a fellow traveler vacation for the past few years, here are some tips I found to keep quiet even with three or more hours late. 1. Always remember to leave enough time in the case of air, bus or train. There's nothing more stressful then they arrive late or leave the minimum time for security and check-in procedures. Leave the optimal amount of time possible, because the more time you leave, the more comfortable you are when you arrive at the station and see lines running from wall to wall and realize you have more than enough time.2. After check in or to get the ticket make it through security checkpoints could be your next step. Before standing in long lines, be sure to get everything ready for the control points. With the removal of metal accessories and loose change and put them in your hand luggage you will the process run faster. different stations have different rules so be sure to keep an eye out for rules and regulations on how to make your way through the checkpoint. Many airports will ask you to remove your shoes, so if you're waiting in a line moves slowly dissolve as you approach your girls or unzip your boots. If floors are dirty a huge problem (especially during cold and flu), be sure to carry some antibacterial hand sanitizer. After making your way through the checkpoint, take the nearest office and apply the disinfectant for hands and feet and to collect your things. If you left enough time, stopping to pick you should be of concern constraints.3 time. After you make your way to the waiting room, you'll probably be a little 'stressed out by the cries of children in line for the person who drives behind you, but simply relax in the most stressful part is over. In the waiting area there should be seats, but if not, do not worry. Dressing in layers is helpful here, large coats can make great places on the ground or leaning against a wall. If the hand is not an option I always like to pack something soft in my bag so it can double as a pillow (granted nothing fragile in it). Work book or other activities contribute spending time while waiting if forgot nothing like worry. Many times there are newspapers lying on seats to read or just some paper and a pen can make games like tic-tac-toe with a neighbor or write a group of random letters and try to make words out of them. Are you a social person, I'm sure you'll find someone to talk or play simple games, odds are they are as bored as you.4. No matter what mode of transportation you will always make sure to pack a snack, the longer the journey is the largest snack. Airlines will provide one meal a minimum, the trains can offer the option to buy food and get nothing much more than buses. Keep the blood sugar level regularly will help reduce the stress and exhaustion related to the trip. Most vehicles will have no problem with you bringing food and drinks. Make sure that what you take will help you hydrate and is nutritious. sugary foods only give a short burst of energy or headaches and salty foods will only lead to excessive drinking and how this goes to the bathroom. That could lead to problems if there is a bathroom nearby.5. If the journey is long, be sure to stretch, many airlines have printed in the pocket of the seat, which will give you some ideas for things to do. The same exercises such as rolling your foot off his shoes and walking up and down the aisles can be applied to trains and buses. If the trip is long enough where you need to sleep all night I have always found asking for extra pillows and blankets can help you feel more relaxed. The guy next to you might think you're a nut, but you'll be comfortable. Laying face down on the seat and make it convenient for you can help with some small pillows wrapped in a blanket to make a large, comfortable pillow can make it feel more like a bed and an economy seat. While ideas of many others can be had here are some basic principles to keep in mind when traveling this holiday. Traveling with others and loved ones can help reduce stress by having someone familiar to talk to. They, too, that we can make long flights more comfortable during the night since two people can share the space at home. Just make sure to remember that it is the holidays and people are less rushed and stressed like you. Just try to remember to keep smiling, even though it feels like all the others is striking, because your love will reflect back to you one day, when you're in a bad mood. Have a safe and happy holiday season! Enjoy your trip!

Palin Tonic Travel
Nearly a thousand people waiting for a packed auditorium, a betrayal unprecedented for the Sydney Morning Herald Dymocks literary lunch. The mostly gray-haired, bespectacled public Sat trance, their steaks a simple dish for the main course, English adventurer and writer, Michael Palin. With New Europe, Michael claims to fill what has been a void in his own experience and of many of his generation. In all the visits from 20 countries, starting in the Julian Alps on the border between Slovenia and Italy, where the Iron Curtain once ran, he traveled through the Balkans and Black Sea countries before turning north through the heart of the old eastern Europe, the Baltic States, almost as far north as San Petersburg.I sit diligently listening and taking notes, preparing just fifteen minutes I'll have to ask my own questions, when answering a spontaneously from the day s of podium. It '86, Estonia, and Michael has an appointment with a hirudotherapist. "After a little striptease, she Agajeva, a woman in her fifties, plump a kind generous and maternal step is the application of leeches to my torso Why Because the cameraman Roger thought it would be painful and unpleasant -.?. And therefore seem mandatory application of leeches is an ancient and proven treatment of impotence, high blood pressure and a myriad of other complaints. "After fifteen minutes the little buggers are swollen and satisfied and have eased the discomfort enough to delight Roger. Lyudmilla, we are able to name for now, my wounds dressed with a thick plaster, sticking industrial warning me that more blood loss is likely to be absorbed by the anticoagulant. Back in Tallinn I feel like a celebration is in order and finished with more than one glass of wine or two at the excellent restaurant in the hotel Petersburg, Tallinn, St.. "The next morning I wake up with a repeat of The Godfather, the bed and my T-shirts are soaked in blood and I look around the horse's head which fortunately is not there. I cheat Lyudmilla military grade bands of a deafening noise and the promised 300 ml of blood sprays around the bathroom. Now it's like a scene from M * A * S * H. I put in order, check and on my way to Latvia before someone discovers the terrifying scene that I left behind. It was a charming hotel however. "The food is still in the midst of intermittent waves of laughter and applause, and yes, someone urges Michael to sing the lumberjack song, kindly do so, only in German, an enthusiastic ovation. After tail of 200 meters scattered book signing, I prepare for my introduction. "Hi Michael, I'm Roderick" that looks at me with the suggestion of trouble in store for a weak attempt at humor. "No, really," I say, handing him my card. He then looks at me with a revised, apologetic look, "Oh, poor man." My copy of New Europe is duly signed with an official apology from Pontius Pilate. But I'm forgiving, after all I have to thank for my freedom. (If you have not seen Life of Brian, then the joke is lost and you're probably not reading this anyway). My turn. Michael, your experience at the Hotel St. Petersburg had us in stitches, was his worst hotel experience? "Well, to be fair, it was me who damaged the hotel was excellent. However, several places in China were very strange and arrives to mind: the Rongbuk Guest House was a highlight "That's how Michael describes it .. Day 60, the Himalayas. "From the dirty, full of patio concrete rooms with no soul, with broken windows and lack toilets without doors, Rongbuk Guest House is more of a hell hole." Michael adds a little spice to it missing from the book. "It's run by a group of monks whose minds are clearly elsewhere. The bathroom was a runner and just freeze the slit in the soil. So many people had used it over the years I had an icicle of frozen excrement protruding from it. A shame, a spectacular location next to Mount Everest "Your favorite hotel?" Our lodge in Torres del Paine National Park with views of the glaciers was the most magnificent "Day 161 of Full Circle". . Few souls have ventured far into the park at this time of year and the lodge have almost to ourselves. Sit next to the stove, playing dominoes and drinking whiskey seven years old, with seven of the glacier a thousand years old. Sometimes the work is. almost bearable "On a more serious note, I ask Michael - with all his experience in city hotels brand - what is the one thing that a hotel has to get it right" Well, I think, like in good restaurants, manager or person in authority should be around at all times. When a manager says: "Call me anytime if you need something" that must mean, not just between 10 and 12 or after 9. Is the service after all. "" Hilton event. are particularly good for the way the name means something and have a level of service you can count on Day 80 of Polo Polo. Addis Ababa. "The cultural shock as we arrived at the Hilton Addis in a world of white face, blond hair, thick legs, stomachs full. Curfew 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., but the telephone and minibar. Gorgeous, stunning and wonderful shower. The dust escapes into the channels of mud. My eyes are red and sore, and I have gathered a group of flea bites on somewhere, but I guess it's a small price to pay for what just happened. "At 65, Michael Palin looks so bright and lively as a man half his age or slightly older. For a guy who is returning to Earth in both the horizontal and vertical perimeter, climbed mountains, crossed deserts and stood in front of a camera (two shots) at least 50 degrees at the South Pole, which is in nick fair enough. I do not need to ask the question because it is written all over him. The trip is obviously a great tonic. Drink your fill! TriviaPalin Palin became Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to television in 2000.Along with each member of Monty Python, Palin has an asteroid named after him. Its recognition is the asteroid 9621 Michaelpalin. In of his many trips by train, Palin has two British train named after him. In 2002, the new Virgin of 5 million pounds of high-speed Super Voyager train number 221 130 was named "Michael Palin." Michael Palin is the president of the Campaign for Better Transport, whose motto is "transportation that improves our quality of life and reduce environmental impact." In 1993, after his winning performance in A Fish Called Wanda, Michael agreed (well, had to) the name of Michael Palin Centre for stuttering children.

The plague our media "prophet," "could," swore by Chilean miners
Thank the Lord for the creation of the underground darkness and humid.Praise the Lord for making the climb from there risky. But I can not do with the Lord for the fifty-first State of Chile USA.See how much money could have made some of us from this event, if these miners lived north of the Gulf of Mexico! You would see from the list below sour, how much is lost, because God created the miners and it is south of the border. Here are some of the "hail" and "sulfur" that showered and was not on the Atacama desert, much to the chagrin of many a prophet of doom: Life under such deep "could be" developed decompression sickness ("bends" in deep-sea enthusiasts parlance). Gas bubbles have formed in blood vessels, leading to choking and painful death. The blood pressure changes would have caused nausea, vomiting and even panic attacks. The appeal would have affected the circulatory and immune system. due to lack of exercise gizmos WOULD clots and loss of muscle mass. Exposure to laughing gas underground would have caused would have cognitive and memory problems. One the ability to do even simple basic tasks is lost. Lack of bathroom soaps, antiperspirants and deodorants WOULD fungus on skins.Vitamin D deficiency could grow brittle bones.Isolation could have led to depression and post traumatic stress disorder disorder.Hard luck led helped. Yes, the Lord sometimes be frustrating. He only created this money-making opportunities. And it's not fair on his part to them. And if you do not see any mountain man denied choking, panic or not displayed at all other diseases come from that wave, blamed on God. Or, Blame it on NASA potion. No snake oil miracle was that NASA cut its budget. Yes, why should we give the space to waste billions of guys, just their time, which lotions and potions? And you, my God, I will not speak up again for the theft of these lucrative opportunities away from me! Yes, you have it. I am a Media Prophet. So, you should not contrary to my predictions about what you have done to do with your creations.

Hawaii: The only property of Americans growing every day!
July 1, the most coveted time in history for me, found the soup at home, counters, walls, doors and any and all nooks and crannies that you have tape stick. I've been waiting for this day for one reason and that was my flight in the State of Hawaii, on the books for a year and in my heart since my last visit last thirteen years in 1995 and again in 1988. The previous trips were incredibly wonderful, but again provides finance about 20% of our annual gross income, with teens in tow, and he knows how goes.Returning alone, changing venues and accommodation lifestyle hopes will guarantee my financial survival and hopefully, the level of contents of my pocket, on my return. At the time of flight reservations had not thought much about how all would break down, but after many conversations with my friend and travel agent (who has never set foot in one of these amazing archipelago islands) that gradually proceeded to put some thoughts on the role and reach some informed decisions about where to stay and why, how far from the airport, the cost of taxi hire verses, and thoughts that come standard to mind when one returns to a familiar place, but in this case, which has a reputation of near bankruptcy of a family regardless of their financial strata.Fortunately, one of the financial problems of most people fear is the huge investment on airfare, amounting to thousands, and shelter did not even have his first bag of peanuts in flight yet (not even a possibility now with the removal of the amenities little) fortunately I did not have to face. I had the opportunity to cash in my frequent flier miles reward for a round trip from my home state of Florida to Maui Hawaiian Airlines including Hawaii (Kona) Big Island as a partner of American Airlines, it was all a flight included. Now, without costs to and from the air, and a dear friend to the airport leads me back to my car and keeping costs to a minimum of livery, was based on good stead. The accommodation were the most difficult planning, since it was almost a year ahead, concerns about the new prices a year from then on would be much more, so it became apparent that the closure of reservations to flight plans that could help to keep costs considerably lower, and he did. My friend, the travel agent looked at me in condominium building, or in the resort style facilities and I thought it was wonderful for me. I'm not an eater of being and of course eating out for me has never been an event so enjoyed the availability of cooking facilities in the room was a blessing to my maintenance plan this holiday well below Radar bankruptcy. And he did. The cost of hotel / resort style accommodation is based on an average of about $ 500 per person per night, it was not something that could even consider that taxes do not include Hawaii tourism industry enables hotels aggregate and individual amounts of excise duty on the bill seem to indicate nobody talks about. In fact, the state of Hawaii has a more reasonable and less of Florida sales tax of 4.6%, which is fantastic. However, do not translate into the tax only at the end of your stay. In Maui, I dared, for the old days with the Ritz Carlton, had been on his last visit, a document attachment pricing indicating their place in the hierarchy of the charges for rates. $ 600 pp per night, sales tax of 4.6%, $ 20 per day per person for free shuttle to the city and daily snack room, of course all the other things the Ritz do it perfectly and then a tax represent added value that ends with a daily rate per person of just under $ 1,000.00 per day. Now for whatever reason (the high season in Hawaii) when I was there, I could count on the sun loungers by the pool at 9 and children were included in that number, let alone a newly married couple Japanese who were on foot and asked an employee taking a quickie picture of them, so I did the same. I was not even stay there, but did not know and I know that they are too polite to ask, I happily broke too. Needless to say, with our economy in such disarray, it's no wonder why the Japanese often these islands. Not only is the time of the main reasons to visit, as it is similar to the rainfall conditions of their country, on the north side, but they have the financial ability to do these days. Anyway, the hotel, restaurants, shops and check-in desk was literally empty bowling alley. He hurries last visit I was there and waiting is an acceptable part of the restaurant locations. Not time. While flight, American Airlines, of course, nothing was free. Since I had my reservations about a year before I paid no extra baggage fees. If I had had that, was the luggage transfer, which might have been enough in cost to issue me another ticket to Maui and back, and thus the adventure stopped there. Each bag is now a charge and without food in flight, 8 hours can be a miserable place to deal with stomach growls. In the late Dallas Maui's leg, which had seen six different audience, each issue me a diet drink that I had to hide in my exercise and I have lived n the 'head' all the way I had been compelled to consume each and missed two excellent full length movies that have not eliminated the trip, but if not remember to take the headphones from the last AA flight that had to have to come back to buy another for $ 2.00. Not bad, but the nickel and diming going on "in flight" between alcoholic drinks and packaged sandwiches and chips look gray $ 10 you can easily lose a day's pay waiting to go to lunch. So for those of you consider this well worth the trip, adventure, or bring your own, buy before you board or do what I did, I brought a small container of peanut butter and jelly, not to spoil, no matter how many time zones that way, some crackers, a plastic knife is not discovered in the area of security, so that all snacked 8 hours and was the envy of many. Now, the actual stay was unique and interesting. My friend, the travel agent and I, put our heads together and explore the options are two places that seemed good. The testimonies are online from others who stayed in these apartment / stations ranged from 'do' a 'was the best vacation, no doubt put a crink in the' definitely stay there the decision. But with the concern of price changes as time moved slowly near the departure date, I was forced to come to some decisions and I did. In Maui, stayed at Keihi, the southern city at the bottom of the figure eight shape of the island. Only 11 km from the airport have not bothered by the flight up, this building was in the Pacific and boasted a good time claiming 5 "of annual rainfall and the summer was not the rainy season. Therefore, the Maui sunset on my floor became the choice. And it was an excellent choice. Haliakala, sunrise volcano a must see to the left of my balcony and the Pacific to the other side. Not bad and definHawaii or the Big Island was much more difficult for both of us to decide as I had never visited the island and beyond it was the largest island, as opposed to Maui, where if you are in a complex near the city walk was a possibility, not knowing that Hawaii Kilauea lava and doing spuing dance around it was my dream. see this volcano doing its thing, so I wanted to be in the area of the city of Kona, so I might be able to walk though, so not on the sunny side of being in the VOG if the semi-active volcano. Election Kona, Hilo instead of the rainy side, was a good choice and the sun was all the nine days I was there. So the Kona Bali Kai was my choice. When I learned that I had a free bus that traveled the road in front of the condo so there was no need to rent a car. Whereas in Maui flights from Dallas not. While those 8 hours interesting, Maui had much time to think about rent or service taxi. I tried to think and listen to others asked lots of questions about driving on the island, as the two previous visits the rental car was driven by family members and I was the only passenger. In the short term, once I got to the outside of the terminal and saw that there was no taxi '' s waiting at the port and no luggage, I had some time to discover that the rental cars were and crazy my way over to kill time and again, ask the question.Every the nationally recognized car rental company which was represented by only did one thing Meney eny miny mo, and approached the fellow Avis. Oddly enough it was fortuitous as the man behind the counter was none other than a full-time resident of the same floor I was a guest he knew everything. The taxi fares, the time it took to arrive, directions, and that he found an amazing deal for me, of course, sounded like a gimmick, but no matter. Twenty years before our cars cost the same so I figured $ 129 for the week was a deal, considering it was $ 55 without tip for a trip by taxi and then I would be there and stuck. So I decided, the rental car was the way forward and a big decision. Twenty years ago, the cost of the car was the same, but gas prices were 0.50 C higher than back in Florida, the efficiency of the car was so good that I used $ 24.00 for a week of driving around, gas, so I think I did very well make that decision. Come meet the lot is loaded with vehicles without renting and were so happy to see my face and then my money, which would have the car for me in everything I wanted to pay. I was the only flight to claim the car, so it was right there. It afraid it was not long after my arrival I realized that soon came to the conclusion that Hawaii was hurting, tourism wise, even more Florida. One can easily lead the country and go there, but not Hawaii. With two companies go bankrupt and two cruise ships sail from the most lucrative ports of call, which was quickly begins to feel like bargain basement people. And as I was invited for breakfast by the pool at the Society of rotation in the hotel, soon to discover the deals that could be enjoyed.Having enjoy the finest restaurants and eat all meals on both of my last two visits I do not remember any Twofers, or% s' out for anything, or happy hours and free ord'hervers or special coupons available for early risers or the missing portion Hawaiin returnedThe need there, is having a tough time with the tourist industry therefore, has become a great cheap travel destination. If you reward miles, which everyone should use only the credit card has to offer to fly free, stay in accommodation floor location, affordable rent a car and eat two to one. It then becomes no more extravagant then the places in the U.S. and wow, what eye candy is.a little side not, when I was visiting Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, I decided that $ 179 a day for a rental car was extravagant and therefore did not choose that method. However, he saw a Travel Channel program in Hawaii, where the tour groups hired a private tour guide and a whole day can have a personal tour of the island of 222 miles on the road a discount on the southernmost point U.S. is, all the historical sites are accessible cultural Hawaii and, of course, the Volcano National Park and more are found. My guide spoke several languages, was a native of Hawaii, my condition for the choice of driver, good sources recommended by trusted, reliable and honest, and have no time constraints. 13 hours after our departure 07 am he had achieved all that it offers the Big Island, including but not limited to walk on lava flows and see the Pacific Ocean boiling, and the largest orchid farm in growth, and where and how coffee is grown and harvest. Even stopped at a Portuguese bakery, where an entire box filled with the most incredibly delicious cakes rival Italian Bakeries New York City, and after lunch in a restaurant that only they know frequent, run by a friend of my driver case of a chef of the fourth season had been hired. The food was fabulous and reasonable for what it was and where I was, about Hilo.We riding in a Lincoln Continental, where the driver provided coffee and pastries for us to start and then treated to lunch and dinner. The day was the most incredible day of my life, my all travel experiences, and there have been many. We had a wonderful day we became friends and still today.I hope that in reading this newsletter, think about your next vacation, the way they spend collect money to build free reward points heading flyer miles on the road to a free flight somewhere, and the fact that all our countries have suffered the economic horrors of the depressed economy, and Hawaii, but has said little hard hit us in the continent, could certainly use our support Tourism continued. Has much to offer and more.

Driving in Bolivia
Bolivia and traffic routes are very different from what most North Americans are accustomed. They are not as organized, are not as well maintained, and common sense is not always the rule of the road. Here are some tips and pieces that protect you while moving ~ 1. Go with the flow of traffic in Bolivia is a community effort. Those who try to venture off the paths path or requisition to beat themselves often find themselves in difficulty. Journey through the locals in some areas and prevent further reason. Even if you can not be able to see a clear reason, it's often smart to follow their example. Same goes with the flow of traffic. Often, warning signs and road have been neglected or stolen in Bolivia and sharp corners and other hazards without consequence. Following the speed and driving style of the locals you can keep you in a safer position on the take off your own.2. Keep a car low profileFlashy elegant and platforms may seem a funny choice to make, however, they also provide the kind of attention that is unwanted in Bolivia. Criminals, thieves, gang members and professionals are attracted by the cars and parts that promise good return on the black market. As it is not uncommon for criminals to remove key pieces of car and try to sell to owners for a considerable sum, keeping the look simple and dull car is most likely your best bet.3. Beware of bumps in Bolivia humps are very frequent, often unmarked and in areas where you would not necessarily expect. Sometimes it seems they were placed on roads at random and at random, without regard to their subject. They tend to do, if you do not see it, is give you a shake violently and sometimes bump on the head. Watch for speed bumps anywhere driving.4. Pay attention to other transport trafficPublic Bolivia is central to their culture and extremely effective. Buses, taxis and motorcycle taxis can be hailed with the wave of a finger anywhere on the side of the road. This opens the threat of cars constantly called to slow down and go along the road suddenly. If you are not aware of your environment, you can easily fall victim to an unfortunate attachment. Be sure to keep your eyes open. 5. Bring along the cameraBolivia rich in natural sites, attractions and sights that you want to remember for years to come. Bring a camera so that you can stop alongside the road and capture those memories. Just be careful to retire to a safe location and avoid using a moving camera, if driving. Be sure to consider security as the shot can be an adventure as well as the conduct of themselves.6 roads. Avoid policeTake the title of this recommendation with a grain of salt. You do not intentionally run away from police. You do want to avoid them if possible. The sad truth is that with the many good officers from Bolivia, many people are there to scam. When they see strangers, they see a chance to make a quick buck off of their "ignorance." They were known for making false charges and accusations and demand money bribe. It is in your best interest, once again, keep a low profile and be aware that the police can not keep the same profile of the font you used to.Be sure to keep these tips in mind as you drive in Bolivia to ensure a safe journey. Bon voyage!
