What always bothers me about Venus in Virgo descriptions is not the mention that Venus is in fall in Virgo. That’s just a fact. What bothers me is the reasons always cited for Venus being in fall in Virgo. “Too critical” is usually the main reason listed. Not that Venus is about balance and Virgo is about giving oneself in service to another. But no, it’s that Virgo is “too critical” for Venus.

Love is critical, it is discriminating. It’s rarely unconditional unless it’s towards a pet or child. In my eyes, this is a stupid reason to state why Venus is in fall in Virgo. We aren’t supposed to desperately accept whoever wants to be our partner since Venus rules over self-worth and how we value ourselves! So yeah, it’s necessary to be a bit critical here! I’m not saying to be hyper-critical, but the suggestion that Venus in Virgo falls because Virgo doesn’t have an endless reservoir of idealism is fucking bullshit. Taurus is not an overly idealistic sign IMO, and the idealism of Libra and Pisces is often their downfall in relationships.

Virgo represents an imbalance. It is giving to others, devotion to others, without return. Venus exalts in Pisces because where Pisces is also self-sacrifice, it isn’t unequal, the sacrifice is on behalf of everyone. Virgo is sacrifice for one person’s behalf whether or not they even care. Since Venus rules over how we value ourselves, and Virgos don’t really give themselves the credit they deserve, nor does it reflect self-worth to devote yourself to someone who doesn’t care. **That** is why Venus falls in the sign of Virgo.

Manifestation tips

⚡️ If you want to manifest something quick don’t ask for something specific, ask for something general like “a great opportunity/experience” this way you don’t have to face limiting beliefs.

⚡️ Say “wouldn’t it be nice if…” when you are in a good/happy state of mind (and then move on with your day)

⚡️ Write your abundance log! It will make you feel better (and will help you with your vibrations/manifestation abilities)

⚡️ Be grateful for something!! (As many things as you can but one thing is completely fine)

⚡️ Are you running late? Stop for a sec, breathe in and say “I’ll be there in time”, keep doing whatever you need to do (it works for me every single time)

⚡️Do you feel lost? Ask for a sign! Don’t be afraid of saying “universe (god/spirits…) give me a VERY clear sign!” (Or ask yourself for the sign you want to see)

⚡️ Be careful of how you speak. Say “I don’t master my drawing skills yet” instead of “I can’t draw fml”

⚡️ Don’t bottle up your emotions. Are you angry/sad/whatever??? Accept it, experience it and go and do something you like. (If you deny emotions you’ll keep attracting situations where you’ll have to feel that emotion over and over again because you’ll be operating from that low vibration)

⚡️ Think about the time you manifested something and feel that excitement again!

⚡️ Ask how you can improve your relationship with yourself. Are you denying anything to yourself?? Do you really want to do something?? Act accordingly (if you feel good about yourself you won’t have thoughts like “ohh but I don’t deserve this!!”)

⚡️ Do/go through your manifestation board on Pinterest and keep pinning stuff (it has to feel fun and easy)

⚡️ Having trouble letting go? Try to physically do something else. If you’re expecting a phone call put your phone down and go out/read a book/do your laundry…

⚡️ Having more trouble letting go?? Repeat to yourself “I need to let go, I need to let go, I let go” and do a little shake with your body (I usually shake my shoulders, arms or hands depending on where I am)

Note: this is all from personal experience, doesn’t mean it’s the ultimate truth. Just some tricks that work for me and hope they can help you manifesting things in your life.

Easy Ways to Connect More Strongly with your Deities

Say Good Morning when you wake up, say Good Night before you fall asleep

Share your food with them. If you’ve ever wanted some of your friend’s french fries, you know how they probably feel. 

Donate to causes that fall under the jurisdiction of your deity. Are they a goddess for women? Donate to a women’s shelter or Planned Parenthood. Is your deity a patron of the arts? Give to PBS or local theatres.

Cook a full meal in honor of your deity. Seriously. It sounds silly but you can definitely find a regional cookbook based on your pantheon to cook a full ass feast for them.

Write them letters or notes. Keep a little notebook of notes and letters to your deity. Did you see a cute cat that you think Frigga would’ve liked? Maybe you saw a girl’s outfit that would’ve made Aphrodite drool. Let them know, or give yourself a reminder to tell them about it later.

Change your phone background. Does your deity have a temple or built pantheon? Put that shit as your wallpaper! Did you find a picture that so perfectly captures the spirit of your deity? Make it your lock screen.

Make them a Mix Tape. You know, so you can belt out songs in their honor while making your way downtown. Faces pass. And you’re home bound. 

DIY your Altar. I’m not going to lie, I’m not to altar type. However, it is a fantastically personalized space that you can do anything with. So don’t let anyone stop you from knitting that mini statue of Hecate a scarf.

Today I wanna talk about intentions, and being very intentional in everything you do.

This is the basis of my magical practice, EVERY THING, EVERY DAY, EVERY EXPERIENCE should be done with the intent to make me better. It’s taken me awhile to begin living this way, but now that I’ve learned how important it is, it’s how I’m thriving. ✨

I sometimes share magic spells and rituals that I do but truth is everything is a ritual whether you realize it or not. Even when you’re just going through the motions of day to day life you are setting intentions through your thoughts, emotions, and actions.

I guess this is my experience with the law of attraction. Except I’ve taken it to the next level by incorporating symbolism, the planets, lots of reading, love and practice.

Ways you can be intentional everyday:

✨Wake up to positivity, say affirmations, smile in the mirror, name things your grateful for.

✨Practice lots of self love, pamper yourself, believe in yourself.

✨Keep a planner, journal, diary…whatever suits your personality. Write in it everyday!

✨Teach people in the most genuine way you can, not from a place of wanting to be right or forcing people to see things from your perspective.

✨Have fun!!! Laugh, play games, make friends.

✨Protect yourself, say prayers, carry protective stones, set the intention of safety and security.

✨Honor your ancestors, without them you would never be, remember them daily.

✨Eat to heal, not to kill.

✨Go to bed proud of yourself even if you didn’t accomplish everything you wanted, trust that you did your best, and you will do even better tomorrow.

I commonly see people get very confused about how placements function and I’m gonna say it again

Sign = traits

House = area of life

Aspects = connections between two things

One does not change the other, having an 8th house something doesn’t magically equate it to being like a Scorpio placement! They all function differently, and whilst overlaps in manifestation exist, they are different and those details should be noted! If you feel drawn to a sign, house or aspect, there will be another reason in your chart! Attempting to force these things into the same box only sheds off the details and proper meanings of each thing!

Equating the houses to the signs and planets is a vastly modern and honestly often extremely flawed way of interpreting the chart. The concept behind it is called the Twelve Letter Alphabet where the houses get assigned to the signs in zodiacal order and through those their ruling planet, making the 1st house the “Aries/Mars House”, the 2nd the “Taurus/Venus House”, and so forth.

From what I know that concept stems from medical astrology where the body parts were assigned to either the 1st house or aries, the 2nd house or taurus, the 3rd house or gemini, etc. and at some later point astrologers started to attach new interpretations to the houses to make them suitable for psychological and spiritual astrology - aka modern astrology. I think this was during 20th century with the rise of new age concepts and the reemergence of occult practices but don’t take my word for this.

Since it was made to work for psychological astrology (as it grouped the houses, signs, and planets together to represent the archetypes inherent to human nature) it obviously does work to an extent, even if in a bastardized way where we had to move away from traditional meanings to make it work. Still approaching astrology like that does not just drive you away from many of its root interpretations, it also diminishes a lot of the possibilities for more detailed and differentiated interpretations - why would we need 3 different things to tell us the same when those 3 different things can add interpretational value by having each of them tell us about another layer.

I don’t think it’s completely wrong to use it, we got a lot of more modern associations (like the 11th house representing social groups and communities, that comes from Aquarius) from it that do seem to work just fine + it’s important to know about it to better understand modern astrology, but I do think everyone who seriously practices astrology should at least be aware of it and look into more traditional associations every now and then to know where the roots of their astrology are.

I’m glad that you made this post, but~~ the association with social groups and communities exists within the significations for the 11th House before the conflation with Aquarius. There are a few ways to arrive at that delineation, but the way that I personally arrive at it is that the 11th is succedent to the 10th, and therefore it builds upon the significations of the 10th. A person’s public persona is maintained by their group associations and the networks in which they participate. There are a few of these “natural” overlaps (there are a few for the 3rd House, for example), but the danger lies in assuming that because there are a few of these houses and signs are the same.

Overall though, yes. Esp regarding zodiacal melothesia
